MMD/chiefs differ in Luangwa

Share

The MMD and two traditional leaders in Luangwa district have differed over the adoption of parliamentary aspiring candidates on the ruling party ticket.

The ruling party has chosen to back Patrick Ngoma for Feira constituency.

However, Senior Chief Mburuma and Chief Mphuka of the Nsinga-Luzi and Chikunda people respectively want the incumbent, Charles Shawa to re-contest the seat.

Speaking on behalf of his counterpart, Senior Chief Mburuma has cited the development of infrastructure in the area as evident of Mr Shawa’s works.

But MMD Constituency Chairperson, Peter Lungu told ZANIS that the party followed all the procedures in choosing Mr Ngoma.

  1. #3 u r right anything from The Post is not true according to mmd. its good that LT has reported this though its likely to be withdrawn since it was captured by MUVI

    • DZIKOMO sure!! Then what can you say about ZNBC? If ZNBC’s centering on one person is a favor, then the post is also doing a favor to that one person who is RB. He’s gaining popularity.

  2. I am of the view that Charles Shawa has performed than some of empty tins we have around Lusaka Urban. There must personal differences with District MMD officials may be Mr. Shawa was not dishing out as expected and this time around they want to teach him a lesson. For sure how many times and how should MPs be donating their emoluments to ward and district officials. Thats what they call he has not performed and hence not being adopted. I may not a political fun of Charles Shawa but I like the way the gentleman conducts himself.

  3. Number 6 MASTER VOICE. You like the way Charles Shawa conducts himself?? Is this not the man who harassed Cosmo Mumba at FTJ’s funeral?? I was very disapointed with him. Didnt such cadre behaviour from him
