The Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union of Zambia has called for voters to carefully scrutinize the manifestos of presidential aspirants as poll-day nears.

Union President Dave Chiyobe says Zambia deserves credible leaders who will empower the labor movement and develop the country.

Mr Chiyobe says there is no room to make mistakes as the election’s results will be critical to the lives of the majority in the country.

He was speaking to ZNBC News in an interview in Lusaka.

Mr Chiyobe says the manifestos and constitutions of various political parties give the voters a guide of what each political party will stand for once allowed to rule the country.

  1. The best manifestor I have ever seen is the PF one.

    1. All GRZ institutions shall be report to the PF party caders
    2. The judiciary shall be led by Party cadres 3. All parastatals shall be led by party cadres. Ilike it so much because the PF caders will oversee all instituitions in the land. Imagine, we will even recruit our own Generals in the army, airforce, and ZNS who are party cadres. So most of the civil servents and head of instititions should start packing their bags as we wait for our caders to take up the leadership.

  2. Batata ba Sata-Banda mulinemyaka yakufyalwa inga (how old are you)? Thouhgt this site had an avearge age of atleast 25 or there abouts! Never thought we get 6 year olds here.

    • I agree with you. This is what happens when you have over-caffeinated chaps with prolix believing they are being concise and elliptical like SATA-BANDA

  3. It’s not enough to just look at the manifestoes and constitutions of political parties as the only measure of their credibility and commitment to the country and its people but their performance record as well.
For Example: MMD has a well thought out and written manifesto but it has failed to bring development and improve the lives of the majority of Zambians in the 20 years the party has been in power.
Rupiah has a track record of failures in various positions he held in both parastatal and govt. including his present position and practices politics of self-immolation.
    MMD is petulant to development.
Based on our scrutiny, to MMD and rupiah on 20th September, the Zambian people will simply say, SAYONARA MMD SAYONARA RUPIAH

  4. Italian Bunga Bunga; Talk to me again. What is your point? Be franks and to the point, I am above 30 years old not the under five you thought.

  5. Party manifestos are like New Years resolutions…there to be broken, once you’re in power you can change according to the economic climate on the day!!

  6. Civil servants also think about who may restore civil service ethics and dignity to your profession

  7. You Civil Servants as well should also thrive to put in a hard days work, not lazing about and reading free newspapers all day.

  8. Civil Servants who have worked with most of these Presidential candidates will not even think twice but straight on go for the man of Action. Only President Micheal Sata will bring sanity and dignity to the Civil servants.
