Sata apologises to Angola

Share

President Michael Sata

President Michael Sata has apologised to Angola over the decision by the former ruling party MMD to side with the late former rebel leader Jonas Savimbi during the civil war in that country.

President Sata says he has sent First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda to apologise on behalf of Zambia to the Angolan government for the MMD government’s treacherous behaviour.

He described the MMD’s conduct against Angola during the civil war as greedy and fraudulent.

The President was speaking at State House Wednesday morning when he received letters of credence from Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Angola to Zambia Balbina Malheiro Silva.

President Sata says it is a shame that Zambia is not benefiting from the eight million United States dollar refinery that Angola has built.

He also says the Patriotic Front-PF government looks forward to opening up more trade links with Angola.

Earlier, Ambassador Silva reaffirmed Angola’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Zambia.

  1. Eight (8) million USD refinery? If it was that cheap why havent we built some ourselves, or pull down Indeni to build a new one?

What were MMD’s reason’s for siding with a rebel Savimbi? Could this be like PF Sata situ in Malawi?

    • Bcos Zambia has a fool for a President!!  He probably meant $8 billion but, hey, what is the difference between a million and a billion or minister and deputy minister, for that matter (remember Sara Sayifwanda’s fiasco last week)?  They are all the same to this demented id!0t!

  2. Sata you are such a myopic crook and and your days are numbered. It is the same Kenneth Kaunda who was siding with UNITA from the earliest days and it had to take Unza students to protest for him to tone down. But hey, that is the nature of a snake, so crooked, so sly and devious.

    • KK is special envoy assigned specifically to undertake this task. It does not mean that KK has become an accredited diplomat appointed by the PF govt to represent Zambia in Angola

    • You are evil What’s wrong with you? You mean our 1st president would not represent us? Read properly what the President said, KK is a peace maker with lots of experience to negotiate. One of the few African leaders who is respected across the continent. If he cannot do it for Zambia then for who???
You condemn everything. You MMD cadres are really evil even something nice is ugly in your face? Shameful indeed. Anyhow with you evil mind be told that our former President just concluded a cheaper oil deal for Zambians. GOOD for our Economic development and Zambian people.

    • YOU ARE EVIL !!! What’s wrong with you? You mean our 1st president would not represent us? Read properly what the President said, KK is a peace maker with lots of experience to negotiate. One of the few African leaders who is respected across the continent. If he cannot do it for Zambia then for who???

  3. Ok Mr.President.Thats the way to go.

Also apologize to malawi government for the blunder you made in 2007. If you do so your gray matter will prove maturity.

  4. Sata i treacherous, was he not part of the same MMD government that was gun-running for diamonds for Angola that led to the death of thousands of innocent Angolans? Was he, as MMD Secretary Geneal, not the one who went on national television denying that Mwila, Chiluba and Chungu were buying guns for Savimbi? We also know that Penza was killed because of this same case, now that Sata has come out apologising to this Angolan diplomat, can he shed some light on the demise of Penza? Apologising aren’t enough, Sata must devulge more details on what exactly he knows and apologising for, we need to know the details!

  5. Mr Sata you mean well but the way you are doing things seem to be of worry in nature. Why apologise for a case which has no deals to it? Why are you forgetting that we have people paid to carry out diplomatic jobs? Though I can see what you are doing is paving way for us to import fuel from Angola which is a good thing. This can be acheived with minimum demage than you are doing. What is Angola takes us to international court for retribution or redress for all problems linked to this case? who pays MMD or GRZ? Consult widely next time before you go public on such matters

  6. People, let’s wait a minute! Savimbi was killed when Sata was National Secretary of MMD. Who was treacherousin this case? I am shocked with this man; very very shocked! I just can’t understand him! Is this the way we will proceed as a country? What is he trying to prove? Where is this apology coming from? In any case, Savimbi was pro-West and it is not long ago Sata told the Archibishop Zambia had made a mistake looking away from the West….Sata for you!!

  7. Oh my God! This has really incensed me! On what planet is our President living? He must either be getting demented or he is bad at history or he is just a lier. Zambia from KK’s days had always supported UNITA’s Savimbi and not MPLA. The UNZA was closed in 1973 because UNZ students supported MPLA. At that time KK expelled some Russian lecturers because he thought they were influencing the students. It is UNIP that started the policy. However, the Lusaka agreement could not have been signed had Savimbi been sidelined. Please HE Sata, stick to bullying, THAT is what you are good at, but keep away from History!

  8. True statesmanship. Bravo Mr. President. Unlike some heads of state who think a simple apology signifies weakness and not humility.

  9. What a PFooter!  KK supported UNITA against MPLA in the 1970s, just as he supported Nkhomo against Mugabe.  Sata should learn to read some history.  He would not made a fool of Zambia in this way.  Savimbi was killed in 2001 while Sata was still SG of MMD.  Therefore, all treachery by MMD should be attributable to FTJ alone or the whole then regime including he himself, SATAn.  RB and Mwanawasa were not MMD Presidents during the Angolan conflict. This f00L should wash his mouth.  The Angolans are much smarter than this!

  10. Zambians need to put records straight, iam sure there are many who were old enough to recall what took place at UNZA over this topic and which party was in government.

  11. Sata benefitted the most from Savimbi; there is no need for apologising. That was how he withdrew K2 billion to finance MMD convention in Kabwe…may the soul of Ronald Penza rest in peace.

  12. Guys, indeed when the president says that the previous MMD, he includes himself, but shall we face it, his hands were tied. A president decides what foreign policy he wants you to carry abroad. Be smart, there is a difference between an apology and justification of wrong and from what I can see, he is apologizing and he is being humble.

  13. C’mon you villagers. Cant you see that Sata is now laundering Kaunda. To the best of my knowledge, its UNIP under Kaunda which sided with Savimbi. Infact Kaunda was a friend to Savimbi. Let us not heap UNIP’s rubbish on MMD! These two masons are now playing a dangerous game. Kaunda should apologise on his own behalf not us!

  14. Stupid dont condemn everything, our relations with Angola should have sowed do u know how much benefit Zambia will reap if this is corrected. Direct refined oil from Angola will cost the consumer less than K4000 that is reduction in production costs. Thank you MC SATA

  15. Can those of you who are knowledgable on the matter please educate us who were knee high when these things were taking place. Is Sata appologizing on his own behalf or our behalf if so did he consult the Zambian people. Why,the next president might come and withdraw this appology.

  16. The drama will never end since the historical 20th September. KK should now be sent to Zimbabwe to apologise to Mugabe for having supported Joshua Nkhomo. It is the only way we can have more of the Zim farmers.

  17. Oh please,is that what we expect from the so called H.E,when was PF formed? Please lets stop this inferior complex and let bygones be bygones. You cant blame everything on the past regime when most of it you were part of it.

  18. If Kaunda was part of the problem then this is an even smarter move as the person responsible for the policy can go and express his regret. It is human to err but it takes a big person to admit mistakes made.

  19. Somebody surely is misleading our President and putting us all at high risk of being a serious laughing stock as a nation!! This is not a good sign!!

  20. To me Sata is coming out to be an old tired huggard without any ideas apart from the cheap toilet witch-hunting and grand-standing that he has been doing. Meanwhile the economy is on auto-pilot. After the witch-hunting is finished, he will start government reshuffles like kaunda used to do. Zambia is gone to the dogs.

  21. Zambia indeed needs to mend relations with countries like Angola for the benefit of Zambians , but leaders like Bingu are so selfish that they fail to apologise for the wrongs they have done, as for KK he is a statesman if he can still breath, it is better to make use of him like other grown up nations do

  22. SATA should apologise personally and not involve every Zambian. When him and chiluba were dealing in arms with UNITA, it wasn’t Zambia selling those arms – it was them as individuals. We will revisit this case actually when he gets out of power. Sata must be careful because within just the first 6 months he is going to incriminate himself in so many previous crimes. This man is going to end up more terrible than if he had just died in retirement. Wait and see – people are watching and especially because he has brought this witch-hunting thing around. It will visit him when his time comes. He is the most boring, intellectually inadequate president Zambia has ever had since 1964. Even chiluba was much better. Only sata’s tribemates can see value in him, because that is their standard.

  23. Guys, those of you who are blaming Kaunda are crazy, the government that came out in outright support of the enemy was MMD under Chiluba. And those of you that say that he must apologise for himself, you must know that the mechanics of democracy are such that the leaders you choose to speak for you represent your opinion even if it is different. At least Sata is apologising. If the whole Zambia spoke for themselves, there would be worse statements than those that Chiluba made in support of Savimbi.

  24. This man was MMD during the Angola saga. So what’s he on about!?! His mouth will get him in trouble . . . this man.

  25. Sata, dont think Zambians are and should be taken for granted. You were part and parcel of the first 10 year rule of the MMD government and the civil war in Angola took place during that time and today you are turning round to condem the party you served in. You are trying to tell us that the MMD under RB sided with Savimbi when in actual fact it was you. Be careful your days are numbered at State House ulifye umo mukununshamofye. You are even sending the old man KK to go to Angola when you know that it was your government who made contacts with Savimbi dont forget where you are coming from. KK is also sinking so low he cant advise you. Mwilafyenga abanenu Lesa tatemwa. Shameless President

  26. School is very important.Who is Sata trying to fool? His followers? Was he NOT part and parcel ? Who was third in command then in the MMD,the party is despising now?.Crap!!!

  27. I feel very sorry for poor KK doing all this when he is actually physically and mentally tired. I have met the old man and it is clear all he needs is a good pension, less flights except to holiday resorts and absolute retirement from public life. I doubt he remembers the individual he is dealing with is Michael Chilufya Sata, his former governor he later hated so much and disapproved for serious top office.Too many people are abusing the powerless KK…now guess who who isa doing it? Sata who seeks to gain more acceptance by the 58 percent who did not vote for him.

  28. Imwe Ba Makaka ba UPND, why are you condemning HEMCS, Dont you know that Angola has got Oil and we have to be soft on them.?.Wait and see, we will get their Cheap Oil and help our economy so that the cost of Transport and Production reduces hence more money in our undies.

  29. Vipuba they just know how to condemn. Lets look at the brighter side and the benefit this will be to the Zambian pipo.

  30. thats why he is apologising you fools! how do you apologize if you hane not done anything wrong? SATA is guilt of the offence, and thus an apology. thats why he has even send KK, coz the apology can be more meaniful.

  31. There are those arguing Sata’s apology will unlock trade with Angola. Angola is desperate to export its oil. Many countries have rejected it as it is of poor quality and way off the roof in price. Do you know that SA traded with Zambia even under aparthied, save for international sanctions? If the issue of supporting Savimbi was a trade issue, Dos SaNtos would never have set foot into Zambia! This is simply the usual Sata comedy…

  32. I hating this mentality of baing criticle even on straight foward issue.so what if sata was there and now realise to the step which was taken was wrong.is not in order to nreverse the decision and apology? how many times have we erred in the past and seek an apology after we realize that we trod on a wrong path? let’s to be productive and use this thread to contribute to the development of zambia.kutalikanfye ne fishilingile kanshi? what wrong has SATA committed for apologising?

    • Sata supporting Savimbi smells the same as the Malawi visit. We cant afford to be hypocritical here just becayse malawi does not have oil. This is how the west behaves. Check their action regarding Gaddafi and Mugabe.

  33. Was he not part and parcel of the same MMD that he has now turned his back on? I have still yet to  hear anything of substance coming from MCS. Is this going to be our new foreign policy?

  34. If Sata is truly serious on the anti-corruption issue, the Angolan economy, even oil, is controlled by the ‘James and Henry’ of Angola; it is family corruption, and it makes the RB corruptiona kids game. It shows you Sata’s position on corruption is cosmetic as he never believes in it as a matter of principle but just to have the Post on his side.

  35. I am hating this mentality of being critics even on straight forward issues.so what if sata was there and now realise that the step which was taken in the past was wrong. Is he not in order to reverse the decision and apologize? how many times have we erred in the past and seek an apology after we realize that we trod on a wrong path? let’s be productive and use this thread to contribute to the development of zambia.kutalikanafye lyonse kanshi? what wrong has SATA committed for apologizing? and so what if he was in that government? what is it that will change if we say he was in that government? what has that to do with progress?

  36. Guys, how else do you expect a president to send his apology? I guess the president is doing it the mature way, first by choosing a scapegoat, then by sending Dr Kaunda. He in turn achieves two things; earning back a lost relationship and a clever cover up for Kaunda. For this one Mr President I commend you. Our president has one striking virtue, HUMILITY, which to me has made him win so much fame. His relationship with M’embe and others who are perceived to be stubborn is as a result of his skill to make up with people. We all remember that at one point The Post almost ruled him out, but later a fruitful relationship suddenly erupted. He is just that kind to anybody, why cant we harness this rare quality for the benefit of our country, after all we cant do that ourselves.

  37. Hi guys, i like this debt and all the anger that has flared on the president.
But what we may wish to know about leadership is the fact that, mistakes are almost inevitable in leadership, but what is important is how much time and effort one puts in to learn from his mistakes and make corrections. Hopefully sata is doing so by appologising

  38. Aristo, read the statement again. It reads in part, ‘He described the MMD’s conduct against Angola during the civil war as greedy and fraudulent.’ Do you think Sata puts himself as part if MMD at the time? Then we have a greedy and fraudulant president.

  39. I remember this saga which led to the disappearnce of Aero Zambia from Zambia. The owner of Aero Zambia David Tokoph was in the mix of things. Transporting stuff via North Western Province to Angola from East Europe. He even contributed towards construction of the air strip/port for ferrying. What happened to Tokoph?

  40. Oh I get it,Sata is not genuinely apologizing, its more of bootlicking Angola so that we make use of their oil refinery? Hmm maybe we need to revisit our national anthem..Stand and sing of Zambia proud and free?

  41. Our president is in panic mode ,the 90days seem to be 90mins.Please PF govt advise him to read the history of zambia and angola ‘s relationship

  42. SATA WAS 2ND IN COMMAND IN MMD, ZAMBIANS WHY ARE YOU BEING FOOLED LIKE THIS, C’MON WAKE UP AND START DEMANDING WHAT YOU WERE PROMISED ….

  43. @ UK-ZED Observer … ask the question who decided that MMD sides with Savimbi …. my answer is “MICHAEL SATA” thats why can’t apologise himself. He was the commander in MMD.

  44. All I can say is, to there is no wrong in correcting a wrong. When a man does that then you know he is humble. Just as well, KK is going, I bet that will also mean he is apologising, what better way to apologise than send the same man who was for UNITA. Shows genuine apology for all wrong done.

  45. whatever you say sata is doing all these for better zambia Angola has oil and is cheaper rout to import and the nearness which has not being used because of political sour

  46. Some people are wondering why bloggers are reacting unkindly to statements issued by our President. It is a show of no confidence. The majority of the people who voted PF into power are in the high density poorer communities along the line of rail all waiting for delivery of the promise. The elite group that supported him generally lOoked for job opportunities irrespective of the type of leader before them. The rest have been awake to the fact that Zambia will be grossly misgoverned under Sata. This is slowly coming as a reality and the Post is deliberately trying to shut all critics, HH in focus.

  47. Yes KK supported Savimbi in Angola and Joshua Nkomo in Zimbabwe DURING THE LIBERATION FIGHT, but when they got their independence (1975 and 1980 respectively) he recognized and respected the partiez that formed government.

  48. What a joker with have for a president! Every day you are guaranteed of at least one mistake to be made by him! Even the hard core pf kaponyas should now realise that they created a big problem for us Zambians. If they just wanted another Bemba chap to be at State House they should have imposed some one who is more reasonable than giving us this comedian. Ver soon we will be in trouble as a country.

  49. You guyz surprise me with your criticism you want sour relations to continue with a country we can benefit alot from yet you want a reconciliation with Mbingu who can only bring tobbacco to kill you read between the lines bunch of dull people.

  50. Apologising for what? this is a big blunder Sata is making, at no time did Zambia side
with Savimbi. Have you ever heard USA, UK, Germany apologising to RSA for supporting
and Financing Apartheid ?. The internal conflict in Angola had nothing to do with the position
of Zambia and Zambia did not influence any policy there only that Zambia had her prefernces at that time.

  51. Most importantly though, he is a Kaponya president, and he is making decisions that the educated – ba some of us – failed to make when they were in power. With education on their side, pride and wealth, they could not serve Zambia as patriots. Let the man drive this poor country to where it should be. Sorry is very hard a word to use, and when a man uses it, its a sign of strength. Next elections 2016; by then he would have performed well and we will be voting for him again. Tough; but its reality. We waited for him for 10 years; so chaps, its your turn to wait.

  52. These kinds of elementary gaffes are what will guarantee the MCS will be a one term President. This is a careless remark to come from the President maybe he should take quick brush up courses in PO 101 and diplomatic etiquette. A head of State should NOT publicly make such pronouncements even if you are looking to score some oil!

  53. Guys guys please bear with Sata. Many of u don’t understand how difficult it is to make such diplomatic decisions when u have very Low Intellect! This is the best that the man can do, this is as much as he can analyse. How can u expect more from him when he has the *****ic Chishimba Kambwili as Foreign Affairs Minister? These guys are directly from the street! So my advice to u is just enjoy the show coz with Sata- u havent seen anything yet!

  54. Mending relationships with Angola so that we might benefit from Angola oil makes the president a koponya okay. What is wrong with saying sorry to a friend so that that you start afresh. The president was proposing raillines and roads between Angola and Zambia to benefit ordinary citizens. When Clinton and carter go to north Korea to save American interest why do not you fools conderm the Yankees for using their former presidents. It is being smart to import oil from the Mideast when your next door neighbor has vast reserves and is putting up a $8 billion dollar oil refinery. I do not know which schools you went to but my guess they never taught you common sense

  55. Sata should apologise to Malawi too. He was supporting the opposition there. Why only to Angola? Is it because of oil? Now we will be behaving like America and Britain whose interest is in oil only.

  56. This our President will land us in problem! His reasoning is shocking. He condemns the Chinese extols the West and in the same breath sees nothing wrong with Mugabe! The Chinese are Mugabe’s best friends and the West are his greatest enemies. He claims Angolan refugees are fraudulently getting NRCs to become Zambians and yet goes grovelling to them to apologise! What a muppet!

  57. @ Don chilu ……It’s always good to read divergent opinions. Thanks for enligtening us. MCS is cleverer then most bloggers here.

  58. It takes a great man to apologise for the mistakes and blunders of the past. Also bear in mind that the apology is not a throwback to the struggle years; it relates to the time when Angola already had a democratically elected government and Savimbi had now become a violent counter-revolutionary. As for Sata being a former Secretary General of MMD at the time of the Savimbi support, bear in mind that he was bound by collective responsibility even if he himself was repulsed by the idea. It were the wishes of then President Chiluba that invariably carried the day.

  59. If we start amending the past, it would serve us of un called for tempers. But trade with Angola is more important. Savimbi is no more. We can not be buying oil from middle east just because we supported Savimbi. Besides, Angola is ready to recieve us. Bravo Mr President.

  60. So, if the Angolan Govt asks for the details of the betrayal, the President will avail them? Or he has already done so? Has Angola demanded an apology? What if Dos Santos says that actually he was not aware that there was a problem and would be interested in hearing more?

  61. 1) SATA apologising to Angola for the loss of our brothers black people that is welcome.

    2) MMD had zambian gun runners ( shaking my head).

    3) Oil pipe line to Angola welcome at all costs, the middle east has gotten rich of Africa. would rather see An African neigbor benefitting that shall one day buy our minerals and Agriculture produce.

  62. The serpent decieved Eve in the garden of Eden. Angola be careful with Sata, he was part and parcel of the MMD. He is apologising bcoz of yo oil. He was deported from Malawi for siding with Muluzi. If Malawi had oil he could hav apologised for attempting to visit Muluzi in 2007.

  63. UNDERTAKER & KAPOTU: Am waiting for you to challenge my thinking, you seem to have very backward and amateur minds, you mis spell several words and you talk with assumption. Someone apologizing is humility enough. H.E Sata has learned enough from being in opposition for a while.

  64. The presidents move is mature. Kafupi soured Zambia’s relations with Angola by siding with a warlord who had no reason to fight a legitimate government. The people who voted for Sata are by far and away wiser than those who didn’t.

  65. #68 You’re a bad adviser. Angola knows everything. There has been no relationship between us. So Angola shall be making money while we get cheap and quick delivery oil. To hell MMD with your stubborness.

  66. Bamudala ba Sata we didn’t side with Savimbi. Remember our Chiluba brought him to the table to sign a peace treaty in 1992? Its just rumours that Chiluba allowed planes to land in Zambia to give weapons to Savimbi when he went back into the forest.

  67. Is it really true Sata apologised?? Over an allegation? Was there an investigation to prove the allegations? Is Sata able to provide evidence that Zambian supplied arms to UNITA and Savimbi? Does Sata realise the danger he is creating for Zambians who live on the border with Angola? Doesn`t realize that Angolans lost a lot of their relations and could retaliate on Zambians? My God! What a president!

  68. History….history….please Mr. President just forge new relations and implement a sound foreign policy! You are in power now and quit making references to the previous Goverment. Outline your game plan….! You are more familiar about this matter and your apology on behalf of MMD INCLUDES you!

  69. Please people why are u behaving like kaponyas the one u shoot every time Sata’s makes a move?yes kk is in Angola that’s fine because its him knows the issue better than kambwili The President did what he did for a reason, he was MMD don’t forget that he knows what happened better than u guys talking in a cheap way don’t mix up with cheap talks malawi issue is different with the Angola one be serious live with it reality is that, SATA is the 5th ZAMBIAN PRESIDENT.

  70. @4leornado??? What’s wrong with you? You mean our 1st president would not represent us? Read properly what the President said, KK is a peace maker with lots of experience to negotiate. One of the few African leaders who is respected across the continent. If he cannot do it for Zambia then for who???
You condemn everything. You MMD cadres are really evil even something nice is ugly in your face? Shameful indeed. Anyhow with you evil mind be told that our former President just concluded a cheaper oil deal for Zambians. GOOD for our Economic development and Zambian people.

  71. You are all blessed with the ability to change your mind as many times as possible. How many of you regret having married your current wives or husbands? You see! We are still mortal human beings. Sata has changed his MMD mind!

  72. MCS will put this country in problems.
    Keep deadly secrets to yourself.
WHAT IF ANGOLA DOES NOT ACCEPT HIS
    APOLOGY.This can lead to conflict.
Angola is Not Malawi .They are FEARED anywhere
    In Africa.BIG BLUNDER!!

  73. Our country is so poor because people who seem to know everything, have been bad implimenters of policies. People who seem to know a lot are the same useless armchair critics…Always thumbsucking on this blog for the sake of being heard but offering very little. There is nothing wrong with sata apologizing, infact it is the right thing to do. In the case of oil, I would ask you arm chair critics, What benefits are there in importing oil from Turkey when we could get it quick and cheap from next door? (Angola)

  74. Can someone tell me where in that statement is Sata excluding himself from the “treacherous” MMD govt he is referring to?! I am sure Angolans will appreciate this simple gesture of humility which costs Zambia nothing!!!!

  75. @ UNDERTAKER: You are a little mental coward, your knowledge of issues is very narrow. You are practicing ‘opinion of the disgruntled’. You are a dull gentleman with mental herpatitis and verbal bilharzia as well as contemplatory syphilis. I did not read anywhere where the president said ‘the former MMD without me’. That is why he is apologizing, Angola has got resources and we must face the fact, we need to get in their good books and make them as close a neighbour as we can, we are closer in ties with SA than with Angola!

  76. Sata is a danger to national security. This is what we were saying b4 elections. It is not MMD (Sata-National Secretary) who started that policy, but UNIP.

  77. @HOWARD CONFUSED CADRE MULENGA- If he is a threat, so be it, Zambia is for the majority and the majority wants ‘the danger’. You are narrow minded and you need to go to school. I challenge you to place your CV so that we confirm that you have been to tertiary education and beyond. Before you say much, weigh your sentiments. You are exposing your mental mediocrity as well as your doucherty and assholism! Complain or not, the majority of Zambians like Sata, as it is, his opinion is taken as yours, you have also apologised to Angola, congratulations!

  78. Lol, imwe that’s how DIRTY politics are. when r y’all ever gonna learn!!!!! This reminds me of how furious the British People were over the release of the Lockerbie bomber, *rings a bell*?. What they call international relations – might work to his advantage and the advantage of all zambians, or might back fire, we only hope for the best! But Karma does come back around! Let Sata do his thing, he is presy now so don’t get yourselves sick over what he is doing.

  79. #75 Nshumfwa – You need to listen. The President is busy apologising to Angola for the crimes that they committed (international law can be invoked by Angola), at the same time he is busy committing the same crime to Malawi – that is not statesmanship my friend I hope very soon leaders in the neighborhood will advise him.

  80. can some one in our millitary stop this uneducated fool from doing more harm to the nation, right from day one ,when this old fool become presido of zambia. he has made more mistakes than any presidents of zambia. he can not read, he can not just clean his own teeth, got the lowest IQ.THE LIST OFWRONGS ARE LISTLESS

  81. I think Zambia is in for a circus. Why should The President apologise to Angola for something Zambia never did? Was the support for UNITA an official Zambian stance, or an action by a few corrupt people in Government who engaged themselves in dubious activities to their own benefit. I am so saddened that Zambian people can be taken for granted this much. Sata was part and parcel of that ring . Zambians werte not.

  82. every one can make a mistake including some of you bloggers.honors goes to some one who appologises for the sake of peace. the bible tells me that “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God”matth..5:9…so the president is not wrong wether he was in the government then or not. see things not for only history but also for the future of our children…. sata is on the right track as today

  83. Lets not get hasty in concluding matters. The issue at hand is economic recovery. The USA can send any of their former presidents to preside over sensitive int’ matters .Anyway i know your ingnorance preceeds your inteligence.Learn to read between the lines and think please before you open you mouths.let the Man control the country with wisdom.Dont be trigger happy.Like oxmos has said ”think for the future generation also”.SHAME ON OF YOU CONDEMING SATA.

  84. I can’t wait to hear another crazy statement from state house.Where are the advisors of the president? This is turning into a comedy show.

  85. first and almost i congratulate mr michael sata for his victory to be our brilliant leader to this country_zambia.my comment is to apreciate mr sata for his apologe to angola goverment it shows to us that hes respect man and humble to zambians becoz he is the presdent of the people of zambia we have acept it.by the way i.m appealing to the goverment if could put a raw over dressing the way that we have to dress coz zambia is known as christian nation over the years ago and there is no christian nation while the kind of dress is almost naked especially in ladys.urge the govrnt to adress a law to ladys of not to wear trousers/hipstars .trousers are mabe for man not a for womens so lets put our true christianity forward to make a defferient to some other countries thank u..Carllo-chipata.

  86. Sata was not only the government’s Number Three, but also the most feared, most vocal and most influencial – even during the Signing Ceremony of the Lusaka Protocol on Angola back in 1994. He was powerful to the point that fellow ministers had to go through him to see the president. So to blame the MMD is not only misinformation, it is a lie and Angolans know this. KK should have declined and let the Cobra stew in his own juice. Sata needs to hold his horses. His antics are a recipe for war.The man needs doses of tact lessons to appreciate statesmanship. Again, let men of God deliver him from adversarial and warmongering spirits.

  87. I suppose this is appealing to the likes of those who never open a book or rather to those who cannot read at all. We understand the need for trade with Angola, however not at the expense of dignity and misinformation on historical facts. Besides this is such a lack of foresight considering the MPLA government which has been in power since the independence of Angola in November 1975 is about to suffer the same fate other autocratic regimes have suffered in the very recent history…. Very soon Eduardo Dos Samtos and his MPLA will be lined up with the Mubaraks and Gadafis. Question will be, who is next in line for the leadership of Angola? UNITA the most popular and influential opposition front in Angola. Watch this space.

  88. From now onwards I wish to announce that I have formed THE NATIONAL CIRCUS FOR PERFORMING COMIC ANIMALS IN ZAMBIA (NACIPECOZ). However, I’m sorry to say that we are do not have any open positions for employment because we already have all the performers we need. The lead actor and star of the show is no other than HIS EXCELLENCY Michael Chilufya Sata a.k.a King Cobra. I’m sure you can now guess the rest of the actors on the show!! Our only problem is that these actors are demanding very high salaries, so we are still consulting our lawyer about the possibility of paying them slightly above the minimum wage.

  89. I have difficulties each time I try to trust SATA.
The man was part of the MMD at the time, which was the first 10 years of MMD, under Chiluba and SATA was Thrid in Command.
What type of man is this, who u-turns in a manner more amazing than a camelion changes colour.
If people go to sleep, they will get the most rude shoke of a life time.
Is this man not blaming himself????

  90. If we are trying to benefit from an $8 million refinery from Angola and we planning to build a  $600 million one in Ndola, where is the logic here or the are the sums not adding up?

  91. Hi, i believe that i saw you visited my web site so i got here to return the prefer?.I am attempting to find issues to improve my website!I suppose its good enough to make use of some of your ideas!!
