Nkana Striker Joins Pirates

Orlando Pirates has snapped up Nkana striker Evans Kangwa.

Nkana have confirmed that Kabwe who is the league joint top scorers on 16 goals this season will be joining Pirates.

“You have agreed in principle that Evans joins Pirates,” Nkana vice chairman Ken Mwansa said.

Kangwa has scored four goals in three matches at the ongoing Cosafa Youth championship.

The striker has also scored two goals on his Zambia debut against Goa-Select in India in Chipolopolo’s 4-1 win over the latter on November 25.

Kangwa will join his compatriot and midfielder Isaac Chansa who is enjoying his second spell at Pirates.

  1. ok, good move young man, this marks the beginning of good things to come.EPL is next!!!

  2. We must learn to aim high mwebantu.South african league is not good enough. Why should we be sending our talent next door when they are sending theirs to Europe? we must set ourselves  high targets like premiership or laliga so that if we fail to make it to the target atleast we remain somewhere decent.Ant we ashamed 42 years after independence we cant afford even just one player even warming the bench that we can watch during the weekend?

  3. ah no no no pa south. chapwa umwaice apwa. tell south africa zedian player who has convinsingly successful else where; i mean ending well at national level. kilambe was at chiefs once; now katongo and chamanga are in china……

  4. Good for the young man a watched him play against South Africa today. He scored 2 goals and he played good soccer. But why is it that these young boys they win but their elder brothers  lose? The other question that i have is that what can be done that our zambian players can also make it in big world leagues? Those who make it to China, India, Libya, Sudan or what countries there are, is there soccer there?

  5. The boy deserves better.Look at the Lesotho boy,he is on his way to Atletico Madrid in spain.Nkana should have waited for better offers .How many Zambian players have gone out of the PSL to venture into Europe.Bola yapa mzansi yama pilikiti fye. Please FAZ can you advise clubs to sell players to Europe.

  6. OFF YOU GO EVANS. “A BIRD IN HAND IS BETTER THAN TWO IN THE BUSH”. YOU DON’T TAKE CHANCES BELIEVING YOU ARE DESTINED FOR EUROPE. NOW IS THE BEST TIME BEFORE THE CONSUPMTION OF KAPENTA IN WUSAKILE TAKES IT’S TOLL ON YOU.
ACTUALLY, I PROPSE THAT THIS BOY REPLACES CHAMANGA.
