Africa’s Invisible Generation

Africa’s Invisible Generation is a film highlighting the social and economic issues affecting Zambia’s youth. The film is a result of a two-year collaboration between London Video Productions and Kayzon Kays, a Zambian social commentator passionate about encouraging young Zambians to take an active role in shaping their own future.

The film is one of the first steps in highlighting the plight of Zambia’s youth to a global audience with the aim of creating an inspirational worldwide grassroots movement, joining up youth organizations in Zambia with other youth groups across Africa and comparable youth organizations around the world.

  1. Good message. The youth of this country should stand up and claim their rights. Nothing will come out of these old men with their limited knowledge about how economies should operate. Zambia is a rich country but is run by a bunch of bufoons. Precursers to development are not being put in place. From where I see it, it will take at least 30 years for poverty to be eliminated , if we continue on this path.

  2. Yeah, the capital city looks bad in the video but that is by choice. You guys voted Sata bcoz he promised to allow street vending and that is the result-trash,potholes due to poor drainage & dusty streets. And young people in leadership aren’t neccesarily the solution as many of them also vote based on tribe rather than on issues. In short,be the change you want to see.

  3. All talk and no action. That’s the problem with most of you under-educated and always complaining about every damn thing kind Zambians. You can talk about how bad your city of Lusak looks, or how inconsiderate your politicians are all day long for I care. But the truth is, and YOU need to hear the truth….if don’t make or take the initiative to do something/anything about it, that will remain your story, your children’s story and your grand children’s story.
Time waits for no man. You must and should have the inclination to truly be the change that you wand to see indeed.
