FFTUZ president describes people promoting tribal division in Zambia as evil

1. I agree with you Madam Simukoko. It is devilish for anyone to promote tribal politics or anything that smacks tribal divisions in the country. Rwanda genocide is still very fresh in our memories.
    
   As a by the way, Madam, you have been at the helm the The Federation of Free Trade Unions in Zambia (FFTUZ) for a long time. Is there democracy in your organization, or do you always go unopposed during elections?  I hope your members are getting the benefits of your being at the top of FFTUZ.

3. There is a rational argument that One Zambia One Nation is more slogan than philosophy. That aside the lady makes a good point on what is a double edged sword as some believe, again with a measure of rationale, that some of the old guard are nepotistic. 10. Mmm, I find it strange that we should base our arguments on a group which no one is sure exists- ‘Tongas under Oath’. One thing am sure is that some people can create a problem and then appear to be solving it and even quick to condemn it. Its like a thief being chased and is busy shouting pointing at others as thieves while looking for ways how to run away. Lets not jump into this wagon of condemning groups that don’t exist. The Watch Dog has been promoting hatred against Bembas, this every Zambian has observed and many have stopped visiting the Watch Dog. But now these haters want to exonerate themselves from the hateful and murderous letter. How many times have we told them to tone down their language but to no avail? We have told them that there are so many Tonga -Bemba marriages which should be spared but these guys on the Watch Dog and its editor dont listen. Sad indeed.

34. Simukoko should have said this to Ukwa a long time ago. Ukwa is the one that has been promoting triblism and nepotism since he came to power. Do you also imply that new districts have been created tribally? You people cried wolf whenever the President tried to do something in your province. 37. @OSAKUSA, the common denominator was determined by the need to defeat MMD. Many Zambians were tired of MMD rule! Tina tinkiwa, twali tendwa. In that vein people called for a PACT of major opposition parties. And so we had the PF/UPND pact. So Bembas and Tongas had some marriage of convinience but one partner was…I don’t know… Scheming MMD managed to fool this party to break away! When it did, its constituency of support could only be the tribesmate.

38. And so, the PF and UPND became competitors again after the failed marriage. MMD was happy about this. We went on up to elections AND THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA DECIDED WHO SHOULD TAKE OVER OFFICE from among the three parties! Hey, what followed? The UPND dabwad and resolved to be uncooperative, to make the governance of the country difficult for the PF! This was stated. PF went ahead and formed a governance team, excluding antagonistic elements like in the PACT! Just visit watchdog.

39. The country can not derive maximum benefit from a government of fighting officials. And this fight today is not so much about principle or ideology but tribe! How sad. In Kenya, people are killing one another on tribal lines, which is a shame. We must be wise enough to act or behave responsibly. Remember there is no difference between Zambians and other peoples who have experienced genocide like those in Rwanda or Yugoslavia. We are all human beings!

Besides, it is already hosting about 2 private ones. What are your lamentations about? You have much superior infrastructure than much of Zambia. Ministry of Finance released mid year expenditure figures and it was clear that Southern Province received more than any other province. Is that bad 4 you?

A non existent group Tonga’s on Oath is fabricated and Tonga – Bemba tribes take debate center stage, the president seems to know the origins of the letter and chooses to be anonymous, GBM alerts of assassination plot, no investigation follow up, police deny permit because of personnel shortage due to a football match on the copper belt the next day they are teaming with large numbers at the rally venue to prevent it, money seems to be raining from somewhere for un budgeted programs.

    I am also tired of the Joyce Nonde and Leonard Hikaumba wamuyayaya stay at the helm of their respective organizations. I need a break.
