Eagles edge limping Zesco to go 3rd

‎Former champions Zesco United remained in the bottom half of the Super League after losing 1-0 to Green Eagles in the rescheduled match on Thursday afternoon.

‎Derrick Bulaya propelled Eagles to victory via a 44th minute goal at Independence Stadium in  Choma.

‎The win for Perry Mutapa’s Eagles moved them from sixth to third place on the table.

‎With three matches left in the season, Eagles have 50 points from 31 games played.

‎Meanwhile, Zesco remained winless in their last four matches in which they forced three draws.

‎Ninth placed Zesco, who have lost 12 games this season, sit on 38 points after playing 30 matches.

‎Zesco have one more rescheduled match.
