Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Bob Sichinga has said the Patriotic Front (PF) government’s manifesto is bearing fruits which many Zambian have started benefiting from.

Mr. Sichinga said many Zambians did not believe the PF manifesto during its vigorous campaigns prior to last year’s elections because they did not understand it.

He said this doing a consultative meeting with business communities in Mansa and Samfya yesterday.

Mr. Sichinga also disclosed that his ministry will initiate five industrial clusters in every province in the country based on the comparative advantage.

He also revealed that his ministry’s priority was to increase value additional programmes which will result in job creation thereby putting more money into people’s pockets

Mr. Sichinga said soon after the PF came into power last year, the party embarked on formulating a strategic plan for 2011/2015 which will incorporate its manifesto.

  1. Mention the specifics rathers than blabbering in the air more promises. What new initiatives are they? who is involved?

    • Aini sure – i have not understood anything of what the minister is saying…! Which areas of the manifesto are paying off – in which way? Yah awe mwandi politicians…kuti wanaka nabo…!

  2. most of what the Minister mentions are programmes left by MMD. What he should be doing is acknowledging that these are MMD programmes and that PF will implement them not to pretend that they are from the PF manifesto

  3. For a chap who went to Harvard, Robert Sichinga sure speaks a lot of rubbish. Nothing concrete ever comes out of his mouth!!!
Harvard must regret ever taking him in as a student.

  4. PF is a group of traitors who stoop to any infamy to realise its ambition to seize power. Gained full marks… in what, him look like a D student to me…

  5. he is right. the PF manifesto’s main priority was to cripple zambia and yes we can see its working. no fuel, mealie meal..etc MMD though being corrupt could have done better in the first year. Lets agree the manifesto is working.

  6. I was right, if people really want to laugh all they have to do is go to press conferences. Does he realise that with the deportations, appointemt of tainted people to high offices, acquittals and hounding of their own party members, we the people are completely confused on whether it is a manifesto or toilet paper.

  7. Which fruites is this man talking about? Maybe his company in America that is ran by his son that has now recieved a boost from the PF government.

  8. please post the pf manifesto, for a party that has never held a convention for 10 years with a register of members i find it hard to believe they have a manifesto maybe he mearnt to say PF fake promises.

  9. For Zambia to attain meaningful development the conditions for local entrepreneurs need to be more favourable. Currently, the Chinese have better investment opportunities in Zambia than our own nationals in Zambia. The same Zambian chaps who have had records of loan defaulting and same clans / names have spacial access to loans and public investments such as CEEC, DBZ commercial banks etc. These commercial politics of patronage, laced with high levels of corruption have contaminated the uneven playing local investment field. I was hopeful when Mr. Sichinga was oppointed Minister of Commerce but my doubts are growing. Between Mr. Chikwanda and Mr. Sichinga all we are getting is long nice same old english and no real results on the ground. Change ba Zambia!
