Zambia’s Fourth President Rupiah Bwezani Bands has been invited to be among several high-profile dignitaries who will attend tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony of newly-elected President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.

President Mahama, a communications expert, historian, writer and former vice-president,will be sworn in as the fourth President of Ghana’s Fourth Republic at the Independence Square in Accra.

He ascended to the high office of President following the death of the incumbent President John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Accra and was re-elected in last month’s elections on a National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket, polling 5,574,761 votes against his close contender, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who had 5,248,898 votes.

Former President Banda said that he was honoured to be considered worthy of being invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of the leader of one of Africa’s shining examples of democratic governance.

  1. VIVA THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA HIS EXCELLENCY MR RUPIAH BANDA (BA-Economics-UNZA). PF and Sata are choking with envy!!!!

  2. Up to now we are still waiting for Rupiah Banda to be charged for corruption offenses. It will never happen. During RB’s presidency, things were NOT perfect ofcourse and he had his faults, but we had a President who was educated and knew what he was doing and made Zambia proud – Zambia even got elevated to middle-income status. All the programmes he left are the ones PF want to claim as theirs today. PF’s only programme is Kwacha re-basing. Maybe next year when they run out of projects completely they again re-base the Kwacha back to what it was before. Ma-rubbish. Viva RB. It just goes to show that an educated President is unbeatable. Even the international community recognise him because he is able to communicate. Sata is busy acting like a kaponya….atase!

    • Who told you rebasing was a PF program?
It will be a very big success but it’s not a PF program but ALLABEE’s or LPM’s.
      Understand politics first.

    • Very true……..but tone down on education you need everyone to run a government we are all educated but politics mostly suites the other side in Africa especially…..however your points are very valid…

  3. Credible sources revealed that the election in Ghana last year was far from being a shining example. There was vote buying and rigging in places and the losing party (NPP) even showed evidence of NDC rigging and inflating figures in some parts of Accra and most likely, it was worse in the outskirts of the North.

  4. Rupiah Banda is a great son of the soil of Africa. RB know that you ahve the respect of all Zambians our President just be careful of Dictator Sata because he is jealousy of your GREAT achievements.

One thing i know and history has is that, no matter how for Autocratic one party UNIP Dictator Kenneth Kaunda is praised by the disgraced Illiterate Dictator SATA and PF, Kaunda has never been invited by any country for their national events apart from South Africa.

RUPIAH Banda deserves much respect from all Zambians especially from this greedy evil illiterate Satanist Dictator Sata, who will never get tis respect and be prosecuted even before he leaves office for his corruption and human rights abuses.

  6. Such news eat away at Sata, Kabimba and M’membe. It is as if the international community is working against them but they don’t know just who to attack and discredit and indeed just how foolish they’ll look if they tried. So it’s sit and watch with absolute bitterness. I say with bitterness simply because of the vernomous attacks from kabimba and M’membe on Robert Amsterdam for his stance in defending and praising RB.

  7. They invited Banda because Democratic party president won, and Sata will never be invited by any after his fellow Patriotic Party lost like a hyena.

  8. People must learn never to forget that RB and MMD represented one of the most arrogant and corrupt govts in Africa. The people decided to boot him and his party out of office after only three years in office. For an educated person this is pathetic. Is this a record to be proud of?

    • Ili Mbwa fye iwe, What has SATANA and his Pathetic Failures PF angels done since assuming office? RB has done nothing wrong. When RB came into power he just busy working and he left all these projects you are seeing mwe fipuba imwe.

  9. RB was far much better than our current president in all departments. A fact. If Mr Sata will good in the near future we shall say so, but not now

  10. RB holds the world record for the shortest reign in power of a President. The newly-elected President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and RB have one thing in common they took over from dead Presidents. So its should be no surprise as to why RB is on the invitation list.

  11. My wish in future to fellow bloggers will be that when a subject is posted on the net will be to see that bloggers just talk about that subject unlike bringing people who will NEVER defend themselves. RB has been invited to attend the inauguration of Ghana President so why talk about the sitting President? Just shows how dual certain bloggers are. I do not support NO party coz of my JOB i have better things to talk about unlike insulting someone who is a President of a country. SHAME on us

  12. In spite of the fact that this country has been invaded by the clue-less and ravaging Ba Chimbwi from Serengeti National Park, Zambia is still being held in high esteem for having upheld and championed the tenets of democracy in Africa. Level-headed Zambians spread in several parts of the world can walk with their heads high due to the respect being extended to this nation through a Great Son of Africa in the name of former President Rupiah Bwezani Banda. God bless our RB, the genuine father of the nation.

  13. RB has always been a tourist; how could he turn down an invitation of that nature? He misses those trips, even the unnecessary ones, he used to make. For those that don’t like PF & its president, keep mourning your loss. PF is here to stay. Viva Sata.

  14. Viva RB. Let recognitions continue showering on you not amambala batuli nabo lelo. Oganiza monga a kolwe mumunda wa chimanga.

  15. Sata cant be invited coz the last time they invited him for the funeral of Prof Atta-Mills he sent Summer Kabimba there even when he was not a government official by then…….STUPID no diplomacy ba mambala aba

  16. Sanctification of hypocrisy. All humans deserve respect, however no Zambian president has earned sainthood status judging by the current legacy. They will be accorded respect for our continuing peace but the true rewards should go to the poorest most patient citizens who will continue to be insulted by those who look down upon them for making choices based on their realities. He or she who makes a positive impact on them deserves complete respect. Approaching fifty and we still blindly praise mediocrity in development and maintenance of a nation. Pass for effort. Fail for poverty reduction. All of them. Distinction for international posturing. Disqualification for holding the reins and fearing youth empowerment. Coffee time. I get a fail too for caring at all 🙂

  17. Due to strict quarantine laws in Ghana, CNP cannot be invited to this ceremony. This species of livestock is strictly prohibited in most countries around the world.

  18. RB built schools, hospitals and many roads in a space of three years. If he was to stand again, I will be the first to vote. He is a man of great humility. I have never heard him ever since he lost elections insulting the current president which was an every day case when he was in power, he was called all sorts of names by other political leaders yet he never put them in cells.

  19. Point of correction, RB never bulit any school, it is the government policy to build public infrastructure, if they remained in power to day, Zambia should have remained with nothing at the rate they were stealing with his sons. I do not even know why people glorifies this thief. It is sad
