The Patriotic Front has said that the UPND rally in Kabwata Constituency was just an assemblage of insults directed at the President Michael Sata and the PF.
Lusaka Province PF chairman and Member of the part Central Committee Geoffrey
said that again the UPND paraded its bitterness and their prolonged failure to recover from their defeat in the 2011 elections.
In a statement to the media, Mr. Chuumbwe said that it was unacceptable that former Katombora Member of Parliament, Regina Musokotwane, chose Sunday’s rally to vent her frustrations after allegedly failing to hoodwink President Sata to give her a job.
Mr. Chuumbwe accused Mrs. Musokotwane of making numerous attempts to lobby for a job from President Michael Sata adding that she cannot deny this fact.
Mr. Chuumbwe further said that the UPND meeting also exposed the partisan behavior of some civil society members, who he said are well-known sympathisers of the UPND.
Mr. Chuumbwe says SACCORD Information Officer Obby Chibuluma and FODEP Executive Director McDonald Chipenzi for being tribal.

Mr. Chuumbwe further says PF is happy that the UPND got an opportunity to attest for themselves that they have no following, as evidenced by their very poorly attended rally in Lusaka’s Kabwata Constituency.
“But the PF is satisfied that the UPND got their much needed reality check after seeing for themselves that Lusaka has continued to reject their politics of tribalism, bitterness and insults,” Mr Chuumbwe.
“The meeting was poorly attended even from inside the UPND, as only very few of their MPs and senior party leaders were in attendance, reducing the meeting to a tiny congregation of bitter tribesmen and women.”
He says UPND have continued misleading themselves by importing people to attend a rally in an area they do not reside adding that people of Kabwata and Lusaka in general have sent a clear message to the UPND, that they are not interested.

Errr…what UPND achieved on Sunday was quite exceptional….managing to shift the police force and the Ministry of Home Affairs to succumb to their constitutional right of assembling and engaging in public discourse. This has a set a precedence for all opposition political parties, and some court cases may end being mere technical exercises at law.
I urged many compatriots at home to vote for ba Sata in 20111, BUT things have changed so much, it is not only confusing but a grave concern how intolerant and violent the PF has become. the problem is our constitution which is very defective to say the worst it gives the executive too much powers to hire and fire, the powers of the executive in the new constitution should be streamlined to acceptable levels.
