The Patriotic Front (PF) has dismissed reports from some section of society suggesting that one of its cadres died in mistaken identity situation in the fracas with the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) on Sunday.
PF and UPND fought before the latter held a public rally in Kabwata constituency on Sunday.
PF media and publicity director Chanda Mfula said the party was not aware of any PF cadre who was allegedly killed in the fight.
“Such reports have not reached my office. I have not received such reports,” Mr. Mfula said.
And the police are not aware of any loss of life during the clash between cadres from the two political parties last Sunday.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa said police were not aware of any suspected PF cadre that was killed in the violence that took place in Kabwata constituency between the two political parties.
Ms. Kasosa disclosed that her office only received a report of two people that were injured during the fracas before a UPND rally.
She said the two were rushed to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) where they were treated and later discharged.
Ms. Kasosa told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka that she was however not sure of which party the duo belonged to.
There are reports suggesting that during the fracas, PF cadres allegedly descended on their own member in a mistaken identity situation.
It is alleged the person died later at the University Teaching Hospital.

PF didn’t fight with UPND. PF was intimidating and fighting everybody!!! The problem with PF is that even when there is a problem and they have offended people, they still can’t even show contrition. When they lose elections in 2016 they will have only themselves to blame. In less than 2 years of winning elections they have spectacularly managed to disgust the very people who voted them into power.
pf is just practising the mapatizya formula in readness for the livingstone by election.

For one time in your professional career, “BE PROACTIVE,” meaning take action to cause change and not only reacting to change when it happens. That is why you are in those offices wearing ranks not commensurate to your work output and professionalism. Free advice, carry out a quick investigation and produce a verification report to confirm the death or otherwise. Speak from a confirmed position more so that police were on the ground. Do not just wait for locals to report to you on events on your watch. That is why you end up arresting people wrongly. Exhbit professionalism…
Your advice is valid
The PF is good at twisting stories. However, the truth will surface as the statements to be made at the burial of the dead will reveal it all. A particular Zambian Family has lost its loved one. The PF must not treat the lives of people in the same way they treat the lives of rats, snakes or monkeys. Life is precious for all humans – irrespective of whether they are PF, MMD, UPND, NAREP or whichever party. The Prosecutor at the Hague must start compiling data -especially in a situation where the ordinary people are not protected by the State which strives on inflicting harm and death to the people.
Mfula is a hardcore communist with a communist background! Cuban Castro!
