Nkana have beaten FAZ Division One North side Kalewa 3-1 in Friday’s pre-season friendly played in Ndola.
2012 FAZ Super Division top scorer Reynold “Sate Sate” Kampamba scored a brace for Nkana while midfielder Joseph Milanzi scored the other.
This was Nkana’s first warm-up match ahead of the 2013 Super Division campaign.
New Nkana coach Masautso Mwale tried most of the newly recruited players in the friendly.
The new players include strikers Chakwa Lungu and Festus Mbewe plus defenders Masautso Zimba, Kabaso Chongo and Christopher Munthali.
After spending the larger part of last season fighting relegation, the club has this year vowed to challenge for the league title.
“This year we want to win the league,” club chairman John Chiwele said last month.
