Look for Opportunity

Share

Today’s Scripture

“Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains” (Colossians 4:3, NLT).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Paul was writing these words while he was in chains in prison. He was arrested for preaching the gospel. Everything in his surroundings shouted “limitations,” but instead of looking at his surroundings, Paul kept his eyes on the limitless God. He kept looking for the open door of opportunity that God would have for him next.

No matter what “chains” you may feel like you are in today, remember, we serve a God who’s in the business of setting people free. Remember, He has equipped you with His power. He’s promised to walk with you all the days of your life. When doors look closed all around you, when your surroundings look limited, when you feel like you’re in chains, remember, God is still at work in your life.

Like Paul, keep your hopes up. Keep expecting. Keep believing. Pray for those opportunities to be opened to you. If you fall, get right back up and press forward with even greater determination to accomplish the dream that God has planted in your heart. The prayer of the righteous avails much, so keep praying because He promises to break the chains and open doors of opportunity in your life.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I choose to take my eyes off my surroundings and focus on You. I choose to focus on the passion and dream You’ve planted in my heart. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, opening doors of opportunity. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

They say that opportunity is a scarce commodity in these times, but how good it is to know that YHWH is ever there, ever faithful and ever sure. May His holy name be praised!

  3. These are spiritual opportunities not physical or material opportunities. We shouldnt mix heavenly(divine) matters with earthly matters.

  4. I believe God created us in his (spiritual) image and would not wish HIS image to live in body tormented by disease, hunger, abuse etc.We were also created to dominate the world (issues) and we should not allow ourselves to be dominated by issues, alcohol, drugs, perversion, corruption and political trickery.

Please read Maestro Hhehhehhe blogging and there after boycott him do not read his text or respond to it. He is dangerous strange and probably not a Zambian.

  17. #34. Thats the best way of making him more popular… i thot this sight is a blog spot where everyone, Zambian , can express their views. let the guy express himself

  18. Hallo #35 Change u can believe. I beg to defer.
Abusive language, racist or tribalist comments and general bad taste blogging as writing objectively. there are good bloggers here like Nine Chale, Baby C, Munkoyo, Nokia ericson to mention but a few. There are thousands of blogs on internet and people disagree without being abusive.

You can be funny, cheeky, silly but not abusive, racist or tribalist that is crossing the line. A word of caution you can be marked and watched for life in todays world, remember internet is not secure. I rest my case on this day the 2nd of No Hhahhehehe campaign.

  19. Sorry #35 I wanted to duplicate the message I wrote to someone else on the same issue. pasted and submitted quickly without editing and it came out wrong my apologies. I hope you can make sense of my #36 text.

  20. Thank you God, for your protection and blessingS. You are Rock on whom I lean on. I will forever, trust in your Mighty powers always.

  21. Let us respect the word of god and not abuse this space. I thank God for giving me a wonderful life also trust that all the chains around would be broken in no time

  22. Indeed the word of God almighty should be respected. As for me, I have been working as a temporal employee doing a permanent worker’s job for 4 years now at some highly recofnised co. in Zed, been trying to apply somewhere else, things havent favoured me. Looking for an opportunity is the right topic for me, as for now, I Look for an Opportunity here from you guys reading to pray with me that one day I get a permanent jod and take a decent salary home. It hurts to get peanuts when your friends get 3 times as much, and yet you do the same job. God Help Us…..
