Dog mauls Modern Stars fan after Zesco defeat

A staunch Kalulushi Modern Stars supporter is nursing wounds after being bitten by a dog at Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola during Saturday’s FAZ Super Division match between his team and Zesco United.

Bernard Bwalya said he was bitten on the chest and hand as he was exiting the ground.

Bwalya narrated that he was going out of the ground when a dog which was in a vehicle over-powered its handler before it attacked him.

“I was going out of the ground towards the end of the match when a dog attacked me and bit me on the chest and on the hand,” he said.

“I am still feeling the pain although the wounds are slowly healing,” he added.

Bwalya stated that he rushed himself to Ndola Central Hospital after the incident and has been put on anti rabies injections.

Zesco won the Week Nine match 3-0.

  1. Careful a lady died last week in Mpongwe ( a teacher of Kanyenda) after being bitten by a dog ..

  2. The dog should have been put down ( killed). It was very irresponsible of the owner to go to a public place with a vicious animal like that. Kill that dog please; I don’t give a damn if the dog is a hardcore supporter of ZESCO United. Violent fans of all forms should be banned from football matches!

    • This is a good one, this fun was too violent and should be banned from all football activities. get well soon

  3. @ Concalves: Sad story but I suspect the dog is one of those handled by security personnel for crowd control when need arises. I do not think any person in their right frame of mind would take a dog to football match, even if both the dog and its owner were die-hard soccer fans, lol!! Please get well soon, Bernard.

  4. THAT DOG MUST BE FED TO CHINESE FOR SUPPER. IT IS UNCONTROLLABLE AND VICIOUS FROM THE LOOK OF THINGS.

LET IT MEET IT’S MATCH IN A CHINESE POT.

  5. I am sure the owner has money . just demand k 200 000 rebased compersation. Take him to court .Thats a life orpotunnity. more in your pocket.

  6. Journalism says if a dog bites a man that aint no story. This because dogs bite men numerous times. Its when a man bites a dog that it becomes a story. Ba LT mukayendeko ku journalism school.
