Brian Chewe hoping to impress in the Cosafa Cup

Konkola Blades striker Brian Chewe says he has to prove that his new Zambia call-up ahead of the 2013 COSAFA Cup in July was not a fluke.

Chewe has been named in the 20-member home based Zambia squad for the COSAFA Cup which runs from July 6-20.

The striker said he has to work extra hard while on national duty.

“Yes, I am happy. I just have to work hard to prove that the coach’s selection was right,” Chewe said

He added: “I will show them who I am.”

“According to my performance this season I expected to be in the national team.” Chewe said.

The team is expected to regroup this weekend.
