Wounded Nkana on Wednesday host their city rivals Power Dynamos in the big Kitwe derby seeking redemption from last Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Zesco United in Ndola.
Power and Nkana clash in the Super Division Week 14 match at Nkana Stadium in the heart of Wusakile Township with contrasting fortunes in the 2013 campaign.
Nkana are second on the table with 29 points, 10 above eighth placed Power after a round of 13 matches.
Coming into this midweek match, Power narrowly beat bottom placed Lime Hotspurs 1-0 in Kitwe while Nkana are nursing the 3-1 bashing suffered at Zesco.
Despite enjoying good form so far in the season, Nkana are searching for only their second win over Power in the two team’s last eight meetings.
Last season, Power recorded a double over Nkana beating their archrivals 5-1 and 2-0 in the first and return legs respectively.
Players to look out for in this derby include Nkana’s Festus Mbewe and Kelvin Mubanga plus the Power duo of Mulenga Mukuka and Julius Situmbeko.
