Zimbabwe jet in

Zimbabwe has arrived for Saturday’s 2014 CHAN final leg qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Zambia and Zimbabwe are tied at 0-0 from the first leg played on August 18 at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

Zimbabwe landed at Kapewpwe International Airport in Ndola on Friday afternoon after a five hour delay at 15:00 on a chartered flight from Harare.

The Zimbabwean were earlier due to land at 11:00 but had to reschedule their arrival to mid-afternoon due to operational reasons.

This is after aircraft had an early run on Friday morning in Zimbabwe ferrying delegates from Harare to Victoria Falls Town for the UNWTO Congress.

Coach Ian Gorowa declined to give any comments upon arrival before heading with the team to Michelangelo Lodge in Ndola to freshen put before heading Levy Stadium for a two hour training session.

Thereafter, Zimbabwe left Ndola for their official hotel at Moba Hotel in Kitwe just after 19:00 hours.

Zimbabwe must beat Zambia to qualify for the 2014 CHAN finals in south Africa to be held from January 11-February 1.

  1. delayed for 4hrs before arrival, then refreshing plus a 2hrs session and off to bed. that’s a rush job all from 3pm to 7pm. why not just go and rest? do some work out in the morning. good luck Chipolopolo. those brave warriors are not brave anymore going by their animated rush job. time to pack your bullets and aim for the kill.

  2. Gorowa meant business when he refused to talk before the match. Now he has silenced those who talked! For the Chipolopolo, Kumasi is around the corner. If Ndola can turn into a burial ground at the hands of Zimbabwe, how much more is it likely to be in Kumasi! Allow the 90 minutes to do the talk, the Gorowa style.
