Zesco United thumped Napsa Stars 2-0 at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka to return to the top of the FAZ Super Division table.
The buildup to the match was marred by unprecedented scenes of heavy handedness from Napsa officials barred all journalist and officials who included Zanaco coach Aggrey Chiyangi from entering the venue without paying.
The development saw all reporters left to cover the match from an isolated position outside the stadium following the media lockout.
However, the media lockout did little to help 10th placed Napsa’s overzealous cause after Zesco stunned them with two second half goals.
Alfred Luputa and Daudi Musekwa were on target in the 69th and 79th minute respectively.
Zesco have now gone two points clear of the table on 37 points after usurping Nkana who had taken a 45 hour lead following a 1-0 home win over Green Buffaloes on Saturday.
Napsa meanwhile have 23 points from 19 games played.

Ama Wathogs, at Nkana we count chicks before they hatch we get ’em all!
agony is claiming to have won when you have almost completed all your games in the league and your next rival is 3 games to catch up.
That was good. People should learn to contribute even in a small way.Not every time free. Napsa keep it up, you need that money to support the team.
