President Michael Sata has kept his faith in Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba as the party’s Chief Executive officer, ignoring calls by some party members to have him removed.
Sources have disclosed to QFM News that during this morning’s joint Cabinet and Central Committee meeting, president Sata instead wondered why Police did not arrest PF cadres who had matched to State house to demand Mr Kabimba’s removal.
President Sata earlier demanded a stop to the endorsement debate which is spearheaded by Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba.
Meanwhile, Patriotic Front (PF) cadres in Lusaka have vowed to continue with protests against embattled party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba if President Michael Sata does not drop him from his position as party Chief Executive officer.
The cadres who are seeking the removal of Mr. Kabimba as party Secretary General this morning marched to State house were a joint Cabinet and Central committee meeting was taking place to press for the removal of Mr Kabimba who they accuse of working against President Sata.
Speaking this morning after leading a protest march to State House, Chawama constituency Chairman who is also said to be the interim Lusaka District chairperson, Robert Chikwelete told Qfm that his group is ready to go on protesting against Mr Kabimba for a period as long as one year until Mr. Kabimba is removed from the position of Secretary General.
Mr. Chikwelete states that the removal of Mr. Kabimba will allow genuine PF members to run the affairs of the party.
Meanwhile, The National Restoration Party (NAREP) has commended President Michael Sata for breaking his silence on the calls for his endorsement as sole PF candidate in the 2016 elections.
NAREP National Secretary Jevan Kamanga in a statement issued to QFM says the endorsement debate has brought about a lot of confusion in the country which has resulted in properties being destroyed.
Reverend Kamanga says the President has taken the right step by putting an end to the endorsement debate as it was disturbing the peace that Zambians have been enjoying since independence.
He states that no political party whether in government or in opposition should be allowed to disturb the unity that Zambia has.
Reverend Kamanga has since advised Patriotic Front members and their cadres not to go against President Sata%u2019s directive over his endorsement but that they should instead work to together in harmony.
Long live king Cobra !!! This is classic.Right decision at the right time.Typical of a true democrat.May the haters find consolation in thumbing down this post. The floor is now open ,click on your laptops/phones ladies and gentlemen.Lol
I’m a hater and I mean it.One thumb down for you here.
@Jimmy….Keep on hating man. Everyone can`t like the same thing. “what is good for the goose is good for the gander” only exists in fairy tales.
My namesake!!!!! LOL!
The truth is:
(i) The PF euphoria is gone and people are seeking answers, solutions and fresh hope.
(ii) People (unfortunately this term includes kaponyas, bus drivers, the poor, youth, CB dwellers and bembas like myself) were tricked-silly at the expense of us the rich – who turned out to be neither affected nor bothered but rather highly entertained. LOL!
(iii) Fred Mmembe and his crew have EMBARASSED his Excellency the president.
(iv) Empty supporters like you Saulosi and Mushota and bembas like myself, have caused PF to look, feel and sound totally lost.
(v) PF is lucky that HH is a tribalist, Nevers is lost, Aunty Edith is playful and Chipimo is probably PF.
(vi) If it’s the supreme court…. Ma ma ma ma ma…..
@ Saulosi What’s so democratic about Sata? Please don’t be naive! open your eyes …what world do you live in ?
kabimba is more powerful than Sata,, Sata would be stu.pid to fire him!!
Dangerous facts for PF cadres and Sata to face when firing kabimba;
1; kabimba is a lawyer with all legal data of PF, he can bring down the party with one stroke of his pen
2; He is also CEO with all the data on the strong points, weakness and the rigging tricks of PF..
So, you just wanna think of rewarding him instead
“What is good for the goose…” does not make sense in this context. Check out it’s meaning and usage.
Meanwhile, I will be down-voting your comment with pleasure.
Saulosi is one of those catholic bembas who tricked the youth and the poor.
I guarantee you he doesn’t sleep. Neither does Mushota.
My punishment to them has been to buy myself a Range Rover Sport V8 4.2 SC and an E350.
There! Now you know who I am…..
Hnnmmm Ba Saulosi naimwe people like you & your Sata, plus the producer of “Ifya bukaya” Mwansa Kapeya, where you and Sata main actors.
But let me call this Rev. Kamanga, he start acting like Kabimba.
…sorry, S350 not “E”.
…isn’t a cobra a serpent.
….hmmm these PF. They say it with so much ease….
@High speed….It applies in this case because it talks about how something which is good for someone must be good good for the next person but that doesn’t exist in the real world because of individual differences. Us humans are complex beings we will never agree on one thing. Thanks for the thumbs down i`m looking for more actually. You can use another pc if possible for the second one.Your thumbs down is good it is a sign of democracy(figuratively).
@ saulosi & Mushota (yes, small letters)
That is also my car of choice. I have champagne tastes on a beer budget. Good for you!
@saulosi & mushota (yes, small letters) Buy that one it won`t make any difference to my life.Good luck !!1
Typical of Sata, he told Lubinda, he will protect him but didn’t.
Kabimba will be fired, shouldn’t think any of his ills are forgiven. Sata wants to be seen to be on Wynter’s side when in actual sense his not.
Wow ! 10 thumbs down and still counting ? Good !! Meanwhile let me continue studying while you keep on doing that.It was a nice way of breaking of from studying by coming here.See you tomorrow ladies and gentlemen.Saulosi gat an academic career to build here.Aluta continue !!!!
Ba Saulosi mwasha mwavundula abantu mwaya nokuya ? Ok Mulale bwino
Ndiwe saka zoona! Do you reason with your ass?
@Zondwa….typical of Zambians. When they fail to debate/reason they resort to insults. It is quite sad actually. These are just politics ,don`t get worked up too much.Anyway am out of here.I gat more important things to take care of.Bless you brother.Nyt nyt yal !!!
@saulosi. I am inclined to call you saka becuse your analysis is useless in my view. what´s classic, timely and right decision are you talking about? Bless you!
Ba Saulosi, you don’t know politics.Sata is in support of GBM.He has just played to the gallery so that he shows to the public that he’s not in support of what GBM is doing.Watch the space,Kabimba is gone.
I like Saulosi and the way he takes insults. You are a notch above them brother, they insult because they cant come up with good arguments.I dont always agree with you but i always try to see the sense in your posts .Keep it up
The moment Saulosi revealed himself as a student, I then understood that he speaks from a position of being a dependant. Bet mum and dad still pay your way don’t they laddie? Some of us have already studied and we are working with kids who we are educating, the way u are being educated, so since you keep no one and pay nothing for nobody, your perspective of this hopeless govt is thru tuma rose-colored glasses. On another thread pa watchdog i gave up debating when i noticed that the pro sata’s were secondary school kids.
@Saulosi. The words of a PF Laptop Cadre. This fellow is all over the Internet killing stories and engaging in character asssination. He is quick at defending himself when attacked–and at disappearing when he can’t handle the heat. Watch his blogging.
Saulosi, indeed this is the democracy we need. At last Zambia has a true democrat.
Thanks yal for all the thumbs down. This gives me a kick.I`m just amazed at how easily I managed to annoy you.It was something I needed after a long day of reading a lot of scientific review articles. You have made my morning.I`m amazed that I got some thumbs up too.Keep up the spirit. This is a sign of democracy. It shows how us humans can rarely agree on one thing.Good day yal !!!!
@Saulosi
Yep. People showed you they really didn’t like what you said. Call it democracy if it makes you feel better.
I call it Ass-Whooping. OR even uku kukapa ubwembya.
Ass-Whooping ? Ha ha ha.Nice one my friend.
thats the way to go.
That’s wassup !!!!
Why does Sata like this annoying man called kabimba!! I hope my friend Nostradamus who was recently posting nice and refreshing comments.. will not get annoyed with that photo of kabimba with his muka yama… and post an annoyed comment!!
@Ndobo, Agness (assistant to Muka Yama), just text me… that what ever I will see in the picture is not what it was. I just rushed home for lunch.
…. ho ho no no no my dog is barking like crazy here…
hehehehehe you Nacho stop stop..!! Nacho!! stop it.. sit Nacho sit. I am not kicking you Nacho.. sit..
Where was I,… this dog of mine don’t like to see Kabimba’s picture.
NAREP grow a pair!
You have no fighting tactics. While it is commendable that you can praise an action by the ruling party (YOUR ARCH RIVALS!!!) it’s not the way the game is won!
You say nothing when praise is due. You scream very very loud, very very quickly when there’s something to scream about. At all other times you advance your game plan before the nation. Not this “Commended” nonsense. Amateurs!
p/s Politics is dirty
NAREP is not praising PF its praising the government of the day because when the is uncertain ty in the country no one wins. ….All Zambians lose out.
..its not a war we are all Zambians after all.
I see these two having an illicit affair and eventually running away together……..I can only hope
I am now convinced that these cadres don’t want kabimba not becoz of the endorsment thing but because the later does not tolerate the mmd type of appearsing de former. That’s thru illegal plot alocation nd corruption. They did these 2 Lubinda.Devils!
Yes, devils…
If I were Kabimba, I would be extra careful with this development. The cadres are not acting on their own, they have the blessings of the top leadership especially that of GBM team and the like. One man wants to show Kabimba as if he is at his side when in actual sense he is the one asking GBM to unleash those cadres on Kabimba. These are African politics, open your eyes Wynter. I am surprised that the big man wondered as to how the police didn’t arrest those cadres when infact the police were instructed to provide maximum protection to them… Time is catching up with this generation of politicians…
Typical Bemba political maneuver. King Cobra seems to be acting more like an anaconda, lest Kabimba be scared away.
Back to plan be, Cadres where you at?
Winter should crack the whip on some junior party officials like chikwelete at the same time extend an olive branch to GBM. At least GBM has gotten the message from MCS. PF has a bigger battle with the public. No need to fight each other. Those who were causing trouble may not even be PF members.
Don’t celebrate just yet. Wynter is GONE, FIRED…………..
Truth be told. These PF baffoons are churning out results. I love the road works in ndola. The road works on the highways are awesome. Please keep us entertained with your bickering. Just don’t forget your day job.
insteady of Kabimba’s removal, it’s you Sata who is going to be removed, the party is divided because of kabimba. don’t tell me it’s Kabimba who composed ‘don’t kubeba’ but the people of copperbelt ‘kopala’.
keep on boasting with your Kabimba, ballot paper is the voice!!!
NAREP is not praising PF its praising the government of the day because when the is uncertain ty in the country no one wins. ….All Zambians lose out.
..its not a war we are all Zambians after all.
If you’ve been following events unfold, I do not need to inform you that this was purely a party issue nothing to do with the ‘government of the day’. Whoever coined this phrase must have been drunk and still recovering from the P.I.G. syndrome. Government is a going concern which carries on regardless of the party in power.
Sata’s satire at its best.
Bro Saulosi no need to look for haters, you already have one with a small j and check out his flow …..!! Hmmm !!the scene has changed but the plot is intact. The director’cobra’took his time to analyse the response of the audience and ok he knows this game but agony is thinking you are doing someone a favour only for the camera to be slammed into your big round face.Part3, the weatherman’s agony is prolonged, see the legendary eagle plucking his eyes.REALITY CHECK.. roads are being made,Good pay for US and massive infrastructural development…Bena balibe manso . If only the energy is channeled to that end and not cadreism ne politicking;-)
The reality is that Kabimba’s popularity has been narrowed to a small clique in relict parts of Lusaka District. The thinking of the majority PF members in Lusaka Province is different and so deep to comprehend. Kabimba’s status at State House will negatively impact on Sata’s popularity in Northern, Muchinga, Luapula and Copperbelt provinces.
The people in other parts of Zambia are watching the events with keen interest. Kabimba started it ali by attacking colleagues publicly.
Kabimba’s machinations of involving Sata’s PF Govt in poking its nose into the affairs of the traditional rulers in Bemba land, is a factor that will soon trigger a lethal heart attack for the Republican President. Let Kabimba dare the Bembas by walking into Kasama and he will get the shock of his life.
@ MPHANGWE – you are just a stinking tribalist foaming at the mouth with your hatred for Kabimba. The PF doesn’t need backward people like you. Where did you ever hear Kabimba attack his colleagues publicly?? Even the President is intelligent enough to see sense. When did you ever hear Kabimba say anything about the Bemba traditional rulership? Or are you now running out of ideas for attacking him. PLEASE practice your tribalism a bit more intelligently. You want to declare a no-go area for Kabimba (your northern provinces)…well, don’t forget that other people occupy other parts of the country and what if they made a similar boundary for GBM? If you don’t like other zambians, why don’t you cut out your three provinces…which have absolutely no natural resource in them!! Imbwa!
GBMs lack of education has now manifested. While Kabimba is supported by legal structures of PF and externally by powerful entities such as African Political Parties Association headquartered in Khatoum, GBM solely relies on gangsterism and utter thuggery. Kabimba has mastered a political and financial base in country and abroad respectively, capable of fostering a presidential bid nationwide. Here is where shrewdness and thuggery both hit the rock. Ultimately, thuggery has no lasting stamina.
Saulos ran away after spoiling the debate. What a coward! How can MCS dare to dissolve parliament when his party is trembling stiff at the slightest glimpse of Dora. Let’s face the truth, PF has lost its teeth.
HE MCS said that the endorsement issue must stop as no one has proposed his name to be endorsed, what he meant is GBM should propose his name for endorsement, so abena Winter ni mu ndoti, let him be retired and a new SG be found, Zayelo ni chee!!!
Sata has set a trap for Kabimba by keeping him up to the convention where he’ll be humiliated and shown he’s a non factor without Sata. This trick was used on the late Rt. Major Christopher Chawinga when he was defeated by Sonny Mulenga for the provincial chairmanship. Like Kabimba Chawinga thought he was so powerful because of his closeness to Chiluba and Chiluba actaully funded his campaign. Little did Chawinga knewn that Chiluba and Sata where working together in making a play for him
I reckon this Christopher Chawinga was a non-Bemba and so is Kabimba. Where is tribal politics taking Zambia?
@bigkas, Chawinga was never a commissioned officer. He left the airforce as a Warrant Officer i.e. a non-commissioned officer.
Some of us told you that GBM was naive and Sata would sort him out in no time because Kabimba has stuck to PF through thick and thin while GBM only yesterday was enjoying with the MMD and now wants to use his dirty money to destroy Kabimba by pretending that he was more loyal. Sata is not as naive. He knows the pillars of PF. Wailasha GBM and your kaponya supporters. Now you know why a good education level is more important than money because it gives you better insight into things.
You have to give credit to ZWD ,some times.“When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard.”
How did we end up with such useless, divisive and always bickering clowns as national leaders? Surely we’ll end up losing the next 50yrs wondering why we haven’t developed much at all.
For the PF its politics 1st ,the economy a distant 14th.
Well said Saulosi
@1.4 ndobo, seems u a very raw when it comes to politics,do you think sata would care what data or lawyer kabimba is if he wants to get rid of him…. Ask VJ who seemingly had more damning info about his boses. KK, FTJ, LEVY, fired him even RB discarded him.
Sata was marely doing a public relations stint, reading between the lines, kabimba is as good as gone. Mmembe also with his cheap mind fueled this debate been so personal against GBM. If i were mmembe, would trade carefully from now.
The President let the ‘endorsement debate’ run it’s useful length of time before ‘stopping’ it. By this time, the political cadres have identified the ‘loud’ endorsers from the silent ‘political opposers’ to the MCT. That in my view, was the intended goal, and hereafter the lines are drawn on the ground. W
Mr Kabimba will have to be a true political engineer to still garner the crowds that escorted him to the ACC offices, once upon a time. Politricks!
Under the circumstances, the only sensible thing to do for Sata is to be civil: 1) appear to tell off GBM whilst appearing to lift up Winter.
2)appear to bring order by instructing the Police to cage the PF cadres.
3) appear to be in charge for now and then disappear in retreat for the final “big kill” on Kabimba.
If Kabimba thinks he’s finally won support from the President, I think he’s badly mistaken. These are Bemba maneuvers, wait and see.
Wynter Kabimba is OK. Lazy people like GBM wants to destroy him. GBM has stopped working for the people and only interested in his political ambitions. Even these Cadres its GBM’S influence. Wynter Kabimba has worked hard for the party to be were it is now.Mr. President please don’t allow individuals like GBM destroy the party. Kabimba is a factual man. Regards
(1) Yes the majority PF cadres are also former MMD cadres in search of plots. They want to share land and do all sorts of illegal things. Kabimba is against this.
(2) Just look into the face of this guy called chikwelete? You can read a lot of things. Let the police move in and mantain order. Where is the home affairs minister. Arrest the chap and stop the illegality.
(3)If they want to remove Kabimba it should not be done in an illegally. If chikwelete insists against the president’s directive then that is indispline. Kabimba please expel the chap and let him move out those offices he is occupying illegally. This is total anarch from that baffoon.
(4) We want something new and this issue let it end please we are fed up.
so kabimba is sata ‘s anointed successor ……..mmm read between the lines .
wondered why police did not arrest those who MATCHED
If people think because Micheal Sata has spoken, therefore the matter has been resolved, I think they are mistaken. Sata should have “nipped” this thing in the bud earlier. The problem has since outgrown the President’s authority like cancer in a body. The only way out is to cut all the malignant cells which are Kabimba, GBM and(unfortunately?) Sata himself!
Folks, mark my words, this matter won’t evaporate in thin air. Its deeper than people are willing to understand.
When a party or organization is not unified by an ideology, it is bound to collapse within a short period of time. This is the case with PF, slogans like Dochi Kubeba, more money in the pockets, sela tubombeko, leka a tekeko, pamaka and the like have no place in fostering development agenda in a nation at all. Honestly these should not inspire confidence in any person to believe a part will last long enough.
One thing is clear, PF has grown to size such that it is beyond Sata. He is running scared. Dead scared.
It’s amazing how all these haters are not even in Zambia to see and understand what is on the ground and yet they scream the loudest. Keep dreaming, come 2016 we will vote for our preferred candidate while you watch in pain and pour out your bitterness on the internet for another 5 years.
