AN investigation firm has sued Airtel Zambia Limited demanding for payment of more than K800 million due to it for investigation services rendered to the company.

Vanguard Investigations Limited has charged that Airtel has failed to pay K832, 500.00 despite promises to settle the debt.

The company is also demanding for damages for breach of contract, costs and nay other relief the court may deem fit.

It stated in its statement of claim that it was a company incorporated in Zambia carrying on business of investigations while Airtel was a mobile phone service provider and was its client.

The firm said in January 2013, it through its managing director Captain James Kasamanda met former managing director for Airtel King and its legal counsel Nawa Mataa here he informed them of illegal sim cards which were being sold on the market at K1, 500 per sin card.

Vanguard Investigations Limited said that it was agreed at the meeting that the parties would work together to address the issues.

It said that following the agreement, Airtel through its servant or agent Lowita Sayila the corporate governance manager requested it to go ahead with investigations and more especially requested that Airtel through it should purchase two illegal sim cards from the illegal
dealers.

The firm further stated that Airtel also bought A Samsung mobile phone for the investigation firm to use in the investigations.

It said that it was requested by Airtel to make AS many calls as possible for both tracking internally and investigations on the aortal network.

The company said it was established that the information provided to Airtel was true as the illegal sim cards could not be monitored on their system.

It said that on February 5, 2013 a bill was sent by email to Airtel to request for payments for the services rendered but todate, it has failed or neglected to pay.

Don’t try to be smarter than you are. Proof read is correct. It cannot be one word as there are two separate actions involved. The computer is programmed by language professors to point out spelling mistakes or wrong structure and it has not done that in this case.

  3. Those so-called illegal sim cards may be bait being used by Government investigative agencies. They won’t be picked up on the Airtel system but will on the relevant agency’s.

  4. the aortal network.

  5. I remember this guy Cap10 James Kasamanda, this guy is a gold digger. James Kasamanda did some investigations at Atlas Copco Headquarters in Chingola, the guy made free money there and a lot of our friends lost their Jobs. He was given to investigate the employees at Atlas Copco who had more moneys in their accounts than their Salaries can sustain This man is a cone man. Airtel don’t give this former Kapokola a dime. He is a lair and a Crook.
