President Michael Sata has delegated Justice Minister Mr Wynter Kabimba to represent him at a one-day joint summit of the Southern African Development Community and the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region.
Speaking on arrival at Oliver Thambo International Airport this afternoon, Mr Kabimba said Zambia has been an active participant in the objectives to find a lasting solution to the problems in the Great lakes region, particularly the ongoing conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
He said resultant problems from the conflict were evident in form of influx of refugees, social disorder and negation of economic development in the region and beyond.
[pullquote]“Therefore I am pleased that His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zambia Michael Chilufya Sata has delegated me to come and attend such an important meeting on behalf of the government.”[/pullquote]
Mr Kabimba said the continued fighting in the DRC adversely affected Zambia and other neighbouring countries; therefore Zambia was an interested party to seeing to it that the conflict ends as soon as possible.
“That is why we have been very active participants in the efforts to ensure the conflict comes to an end so that we promote economic integration in the region and subsequently prosperity,” said Mr Kabimba.
“Therefore I am pleased that His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zambia Michael Chilufya Sata has delegated me to come and attend such an important meeting on behalf of the government.”
Other senior government officials from Zambia attending the conference include Army Commander Lieutenant General Paul Mihova, Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Mr Muyeba Chikonde, Defence Secretary Brigadier General Mazimba, Deputy High Commissioner to South Africa Mr Joe Kaunda and Assistant Director Africa/AU Mrs Isabelle Lemba, just to mention a few.
Several Heads of State and Government are present at the meeting being hosted by South African President H.E Mr Jacob Zuma.
Yawn!
Am wondering!! since Sata was OAU booed,, he seems to be staying away from these african international meetings and summit
Terrible country, I am glad I am educated smart away from mediocrity exhibited not only by the political pawns but by the unwashed masses on this blog too
Thanks
@mushota…but you ka chin-your you can ponta mwe.
Winter haters are dying necikonko! Zambian politics are better left alone, otherwise you will a heart attack for nothing.
The conflict stuff is supposed to be GBM, the defense minister, not Injustice Minister, Ka-i-mbwa.
Sata you start to annoy me, now I will finish your political career now, you will be the worst retired President ever walked Zambia. You think its your Zambia, fifwaka.
Imagine how much worse all this would have been had ka Mushota been here…..
Politician temunobe. Summer and Sata do share some strong bond beyond understanding of most PF cadres.
Hmm there is something fishy here!! This clearly tells me there is Team A and B in PF. Can’t understand the logic behind sending the Injustice Minister to a defence conference, with defence chiefs as delegates then leaving out the Defence Minister himself.
Division picture slowly emerging out in the dark!

ZAMBIAN POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT
Bamudala batina ukutwala comedy mu SADC.It’s good if you know you can’t trust your mouth.
hashahahahaha
@2 sounds fun, I almost laughed, but you know what, even SADC presidents have no single respect for SATA. A name like a political party.
Tell me which president in Africa can befriend your Sata, even to Mugabe he just force himself.
If God took Sata this month, ask me how many will attend a fare-well.
Now to make matter worse, he sends the “war-lord”, to tell Congolese how peaceful is, by showing them a coffin written “Wynter”?
salt on GBM’s ever-expanding wound.
The A-Team !! Go on Murdock represent B.A Baracus.Lol
Ke ke ke !
ninshi mwaletamba a team yisa imwe? the leader and brains of the outfit was col. “hannibal” smith, thats why they even called him hannibal because of his military ingeniousness like the real african general hannibal barca of carthage,so clearly this is sata. then there was B.A the great handyman and muscle of the bunch, ichi ni chi GBM, then the con-man (confident trickster) this can be ka kabimba olo m’membe the finally the crazy man and wings of the group, captain murdoch. uyu limbi ni guy scott. well, thats how i see them.
@kolwe
kekekekekeke! well put my bro,,
this can not be more clearer to great bag of maize that kabimbya is sata’s favourite and gbm may end up like emanuel mwamba. yaaaba, lets wait and see
Defence minister, GBM sidelined for a defence conference , lol
wow. didn’t realize it was a defence conference!! Clearly a slap in the face for GBM.
I told you all that GBM or any other PF member cannot kwana to my president Sata. Political genius. hahahahahahaha. Sata will be succeeded by lady Kristine Kaseba Sata.
There goes the A-Team.
Love them or hate them. You will start hating to love them when you stop loving to hate them. Or something like that…
At least we know we won’t be embarrassed by the rapid fire tongue that is lacking a social compass and anti tongue-skid brake system.
Hahaha,i didn’t know we had ABS brakes for the tongue, lol.
Can GBM comment on this saga.I would like to hear his comment.
Chimudala chi Sata you are the one bring confusion..to your party..l can see u enjoy to see your members fighting
hehehehehehe…yaba
Meanwhile in Lusaka, 7 constituency chiefs reignite the call for Kabimba’s resignation. My head hurts.
Now I believe that Sata thrives and is at his “best” when there is confusion. He will go to great lengths to creat such if non exists! Genius my foot!
sata a confused man in the confused pf govmnt…
Give a reason why you are saying this ? You must be one of the full bloggers Mushota is talking about.Dont just yap without giving reasons.
“Dull bloggers”
Zambiano, I don’t think there is enough space for him to list the reasons. They are just too many.
How is the protocol in the Zambian Cabinet?
Scott can’t go because he called South Africans dull. That said zuma told his people not to think like Africans. Insults all round so protocols hard to follow
Funny that the PF is going to this conference on finding dispute resolution in the great lakes while escalating its own internal disputes. Can the PF heal themselves 1st before going to offer solutions from visionless skunks.
winter is now VP
gbm must be green with envy.
When all this faracas (carrying coffins) started in PF I told you that Mr. Kabimba was going nowhere. It is you baby boomers (in the Zambian context those born after the 1990s) who think the President can fire Mr. Kabimba, but listen to some of us who have been around and seen this friendship evolve since the Lusaka City Council days that it can never happen. Mr. Kabimba was literally in the cold after he left as a council clerk but the only person that stuck to him is the President. So no man can put this friendship asunder. Ultimately if it came to choosing between GBM and Kabimba whoever holds a degree (and not money) takes my vote in a heartbeat!
Well said and true hence i stopped commenting on the bond between them though his become a source of division in the party we have no choice but to swallow the bitter pill his not going anywhere…its politics
Awe, it is you who is terrible we mu dog i.
But where is the minister of foreign affairs?
ifyamafifye!! one will be shoot in the buttock! watch the space!!!
instead of developing the nation and creating employment for the youths they are just busy and foolishly harmmering each other nokukongola sana impiya for their pockets at the expense of poor zambians, nyooooo!
Sata thinks by sendin winter away the cadrs would call for cease fire. If you want peace send winter as ambasador to japan. Let him go forever.
@NUBIAN KAPASO,
What was your song that ”there is bemba tribalism in pf” now it has changed to ”winter haters must be dying nechikonko.” twists and turns… HH puppies make me laugh. When grz says this, they ll say opposite. When its says exactly what they saying, they change and say what they are not saying.
Kabimba and sata are inseparable . Gbm is new comer who is trying to impose his authority on older timers who have stood the taste of time. Gbm is musela kwa kaba. He jumps from one party to another for personal benefit not to serve the nation. Gbm , masebo, nkandu luo, mabenga, munkombwe, etc

Just unbelievable happenings!
All the sensible people are not commenting on this blog but busy inspecting the PF projects
Guy Scott forgot to mention the 4th member of the A-Team – Fred M’membe. Too bad for GBM. GBM’s saving grace is Northern province and his money – otherwise M’membe would have made sure he is kicked out of PF.
Sata is a genius and knows how to delegate.Keep it Mr Presido. Those criticizing are just envious.

ZAMBIAN POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT
Ati ba Group 1, 2 & 3. Wynter is in Group 1. and ba……………………………..
mu Group 3.
The regional heads of states at this Southern African Development Community will be delighted at the absence of Mr Sata. This Zambian president is at odds with protocol, respect and statesmanship. His presence in past conferences has been an embarrassment to other heads of state. Hence, his delegation to a nonentity both defiling traditional party protocol as the vice president was more fitting to represent him at the meeting. This translates into further embarrassment to Sata (Zambia) as other countries abide to formal protocols in governance. Whispers will be heard from other head of states and government representatives “who is this person representing president Sata of Zambia”, as they all know Dr Guy Scott should have been there in conference. Its a shame to Zambia.
GBM teti uleumfwa bwino ichisunga naimwe,we don’t want embarassement.
