Rainford Kalaba has been snubbed from Zambia’s friendly against Egypt on November 14.
The TP Mazembe midfielder is the only one of the controversial trio nicknamed the “Mailoni Brothers” not in the 23-man team who were at the centre of last month’s ugly club-versus-country row prior to Zambia’s friendly against Brazil.
His team mates Nathan Sinkala and Stopilla Sunzu who were also at the centre of that row have been named to the team.
And Orlando Pirates striker Collins Mbesuma returns to the fold for the first time since the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in June following his recent recovery from an injury.

Lets hope Rainford Kalaba has not been dropped based on his failure to play against Brazil. This is a player who has always been there come rain, come sunshine. It would definitely been unfair on the part of FAZ to snub him for just one mistake. It good Collins Mbesuma is back though.

This squad is supposed to be a developmental one to assess and mould new players to take over tired legs of the Katongo Brothers, Mbesuma, Chivuta, HH etc.Its a friendly where we need to try Nsabata,Musakanya,Sate Sate and other under 23 players to gauge their suitability for senior team engagements.
THE WORDS HE USED(KALABA) WHEN HE WAS INTERVIEWED LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED, BY THE WAY KONDWANI IS SUPPOSED PARTNER SUNZU IN DEFFENCE AND HICHANI HIMONDE (hh) SHOULD REST.

Kalaba is a good player so is Sunzu and Young industrious Sinkala. Personally i still think these players were not needed against Brazil. The problem was the failure by FAZ to release that at the time Club commitments out weighted that international match. FAZ need to do their homework in future so that they avoid complicating simple issues. Better to mend the relationship with the boys now if anything Zambia need Kalaba more than he needs Zambia.

if you say RAINFORD is indiscipline, then SUNZU and SINKALA there also indiscipline because they did the some mistake,but why calling only SUNZU and SINKALA,then left RAINFORD KALABA. Lets not be selfish on this issue cause we also make mistakes,but lets also think about the future of Zambian football (national team),we have to build the national team through forgiving those players who made mistakes before and recall them to come and perform in the team.
