Ex-Zambia striker Francis Kombe has confirmed that he is leaving Power
Dynamos to join Nkana.
Kombe said he was currently in talks with the 2013 FAZ Super League champions.
He expressed confidence that his proposed move to the Wusakile side
will materialize.
“I am going to leave Power Dynamos because I want to go to a team
where I will get a better challenge,” Kombe said.
“I am already in negotiations with Nkana and I everything is going on
well,” he said.
Kombe rejoined Power from Napsa Stars during the 2013 mid-season
transfer window.
“I am going to give a lot to Nkana and the team will benefit,” the
ex-Golden Arrows forward added.
Meanwhile, Nkana have so far beefed up their squad with four new
signings ahead of their 2014 CAF Champions League campaign.
Nkana have signed keeper Rabson Mucheleng’anga from Nchanga Rangers,
midfielder Shadreck Musonda from Kalulushi Mdern Stars and the Nkwazi
duo of Derick Mwansa and Augustin Mulenga.

Why did Power even bring back this finished old man? He once left them at a crucial time and went to fix games elsewhere. They got him back as a convicted criminal who upon wasting Power’s time went to NAPSA. Again there he wasted their time and sneaked back to Power, who thought the guy had changed due to his old age. He even had to cost us 3 points at Nchanga Rangers. Let him go, he is excess luggage at ADS. He behaves like a prostitute in football and age has caught up with him.
Power can even do better than having you kombe And ba nkana off all the player, you choose this old finished chap to score goals for you.Give him a job ku mopani.
Welcome Kombe we need as many good players as possible so that we can consolidate our team.My friend Francis ignore the comments above because i believe they are coming from your enemies especially power fans.Nkana for life.
Welcome kombe very soon musakanya is also joining to beef up the team and come and combine well with sate sate. For goal keeping we are okey with the current goal keeper to be assisted by muchelenganga. For those who are coming to nkana ignore the nonsense comments that are being said against you.As supporters we shall rally behind you and give you a a very well warm welcome.
But what will happen to all the committed Nkana players who won the league and have been with the team through all the hard times? Will they relegated to bench warmers? While the club has the liberty to make whatever decisions they deem necessary, I personally feel Nkana should exercise restraint and caution in their recruitment quest, otherwise the whole thing will have an adverse effect on the team.
I was hoping he would actually stay on up until he settles. Personally, I feel its too early for him to jump on to another club. Just my thinking but all the best
I am a Power Dynamos supporter. I am not bitter to say what I am about to say. What Nkana should realize is that there are high expectation not only among their supporters but all soccer fans as well. This is because Nkana has been known to be the traditional league leaders of Zambian football. In their recruitment exercise, Nkana should make sure only players who can add value are brought to Nkana stadium. Yes, Nkana needs experienced players but certainly Francis Kombe is not one of them.
This signing is likely to be the flop of the season……Hihihehehe lets wait and see, am a supporter of Indeni Football club…….
