Vice President Guy Scott has disclosed that the Patriotic Front (PF) government was determined to rapidly develop the country to a level where citizens will without hesitating, re-elect the party in the 2016 general elections.

Dr. Scott said the PF government will not divert from its mandate of developing all areas in the country for the benefit of everyone.

He said government has achieved great strides of development as attested by all well meaning Zambians throughout the country.

He said this situation proves that President Michael Sata’s administration means serious business in terms of developing the country.

The Vice President said this yesterday in Chibombo district when he paid a courtesy call on chieftainess Mungule of the Lenje speaking people at her palace.

Dr. Scott said in Katuba Constituency for example, government was working on the road network, building schools and health posts besides rehabilitating the existing ones that are in a deplorable state.

He was accompanied to Chibombo by his Senior Private Secretary Robert Kamalata, Minister of Health Joseph Kasonde, Chibombo District Commissioner Felix Mangwato and other senior government officials
He has since assured the traditional leader that the PF government would not neglect developing her chiefdom because it aims at evenly spreading development to all parts of the country.

And the Vice President has explained that government was obliged to develop all parts of the country irrespective of whether there was a by-election in a particular area or not.

Dr. Scott said he has visited places where there were no parliamentary by-elections as well as areas where there will be elections soon.
And chieftainess Mungule bemoaned lack of water in many public institutions such as courts, Mungule health post and schools and the lack of manpower at these facilities.

Chieftainess Mungule has since appealed to the Vice President for government to consider constructing a police post in the area because of the vastness of her chiefdom.

Meanwhile, the Vice President toured the Mungule health post and Mungule local court to familiarize himself with the operations of the two institutions.

And Minister of Health Joseph Kasonde disclosed that Mungule health post would be upgraded soon after the institution is refurbished.

Dr. Kasonde said new designs of the facility have been taken for appropriate action while the bill of quantities has been submitted by architectures under his ministry.

  1. Don’t development to earn an easy re-election, development coz that’s what you were elect for. that’s the problem with Zambian politicians, all what spin in the head is election.

    • I think PF leadership is on drugs! How else do you explain their way of thinking?PF are destroying every aspect of Zambian life from our democracy to our national parks and they expect re-election? In fact I wish Zambians were like Egyptians who remove a democratically elected government that isn’t performing.Where on earth have you seen a president who rules the country through facebook? Never again shall illiterates be allowed to rule.

  2. Typical myopic mindset merely thinking of the next election instead of the future. ..let’s put these old empty tins to pasture.

  3. Mr VP be serious at times. Who do you think will waste their vote on a disorganized group like PF again? You need to do more than just flashing GRZ money around. What type of a Dr are you who can’t stand out when you amongst ‘Kaponyas’?

    • What is GRZ money?

It OUR money, it belongs to the Zambian TAXPAYERS, and these PF IDI0TS and using, abusing, and wasting it just so that they can try and win an election.

  4. Mr VP be serious at times. Who do you think will waste their vote on a disorganized group like PF again? You need to do more than just flashing GRZ money around. What type of a Dr are you who can’t stand out when you amongst ‘Kaponyas’?

  5. Dudes, as long as people are hungry and cannot afford basic necessities, forget about 2016. Besides, I highly doubt sata will stand mu 2016 and thats why he’s an a.s.shole most of the times and am willing to bet, since PF must have a Guinness world record at being dull and failing to read the mood of the people, they will put up Wynter as presidential candidate which will be cool coz NO ONE would vote for that bozo. Was on a bus from Chingola to Kitwe the other day and let me tell you this, PF is extremely hated. People are so frustrated they are not afraid to diss this hopeless government. The whole journey was consisted of people expressing the need for 2016 to hurry along so that these people can be voted out ASAP! Brought a smile to my face.

  6. Bwana Scot, developing the country should not be linked to wining an election. What wins an election are policies and plans for future development of the country. Developing a country is an ongoing exercise and should not be limited to your period of stay in office. Priorities of the country are paramount and should not be narrowed to Party (PF) priorities. It is about what should be done for the majority of Zambians to improve their livelihood and not what should be done to win an election.

    • Teach the old fella some wisdom. In fact, Scot and Sata should retire; they are too old for such important and demanding offices. We don’t want governance through ‘facebook’. Zwaaa!

  7. What is a well meaning Zambian? The top most abused expression by Zambian politicians or what?

    Truly patronising!

  8. Dr Scott has his priorities all mixed up. Is he sure that his party is electable? He should be talking to his fellow PF leadership on how they can salvage their party from the heaps of rubble it is in.

  9. y should u b in disagreement with scott’s statement and reasoning. u like or hate it: development and elections are interlocked. infact pf is very stupid t evn take development t places like southern province where no matter the development taken, they will remain stiff necked with upnd.bt realising that we have even well reasoning people in evry region of opposition, southern, eastern,NW and central, the pf govt is obliged to develop the entire nation at least in 5yrs not in 90days

  10. This Scott can only be worthy anything in Zambia where ka ponyas are easily fooled. This man is one of the most naive white men in Zambia and this explains why Sata never asks him to act as president when he goes for medical treatment out of the country.
