Former Republican President Rupiah Banda has charged that it is too early to judge the performance of the PF government in the agriculture sector during last twenty four months they have been in power.
Mr. Banda has also observed that agriculture in the country is improving citing foreign investors who have shown interest to take part in agricultural activities of the country.
Mr. Banda says the challenge that remains in the agriculture sector is the fact that people of Zambia are not able to take advantage of new agricultural technology which he believes can immensely contribute to the growth of the sector.
Mr. Banda, who is also a commercial farmer, states that there is need to promote and encourage every sector of the economy to continue attracting foreign investment.
He notes that if local farmers can take advantage of the agricultural technology and apply it in their agricultural activities, the country’s economy will boom and will rake in the required revenues.
Are you sure mr RB?
Yamunyokola RB wants cases dropped
Thanks for your powerful comment Sir.
Please ignore the insults and snarls that’ll follow this news report. They’ll be from a group of shocked relatives of “u-kno-who”, – who have been tricked and are watching in horror as “u-kno-who’s” relatives are getting rich.
U should see bus and taxi drivers’ faces Sir LOL!!!!! I laugh every single day.
God bless you and thanks for reading my comment.
This man has no shame! How dare he makes comments when all he did as President was poop on everything!
Total lies from RB so that his criminal offences can be forgiven. How dare does he say that when food prices like mealie meal are sky rocketing? RB was in the first place not fit to have been president of MMD and this is the party is going through this mess.
Spot on RB ! The man is calling a spade a spade. He is unlike most politicians in Zambia who just condemn for the sake of it.I like this man.
RB, you are right it is too early to fully appreciate the useless PF polices as some good factors left by MMD are still trickling down in the system. Come 2015/2016 it will be reloaded Chiluba poor agricultural policies at its best. This year any farmer who will say to FRA should not expect payments it until June2015 and beyond.
Stop slanting news towards the Pathetic Failures please ba Fox News Channel. It is too early to judge these rascals? Really? These are muppets who were condemning Levy one week after he assumed office. At this point during RB’s term the country was in full campaign mood….PF’s 2014 is RB’s 2011. And RB had already delivered flawless distribution of inputs and ensured increased bumper harvests in 2009, 2010 and 2011. And the PF’s 2012, 2013 and 2014 has been all shambles. Mealie meal is now gone up to between K75 to K95.
Are we kissing as*** now sir?!!
Couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery…..oh hang on…look at the u turn on export of maize…lack of delivery of farming inputs on time…if at all. Floods and this will lead to starvation yet export of the very commodities needed is allowed. Whats available if we don’t have a good harvest? Try another one sir!!
Wise observation except bitter for nothing fellows can dispute facts.
FACT: “Mr. Banda has also observed that agriculture in the country is improving citing foreign investors who have shown interest to take part in agricultural activities of the country.”
FACT that foreign investors SHOW INTEREST to take (sic) part in agriculture shows that it is IMPROVING in the country.
How undisputable!
Quintessential RB, shallow as any ( former) president can get!
But yet besides these facts people now are suffering in the very potent ial bread basket. Yet no plan or future direction is evident. There is no data or information relayed to the people. The pheasant farmer or local producer. At what point does the benefit of chin stroking and declaration start to yield. Yeilding and distribution being the operative words here.
Read in between the lines. RB is preparing for a diplomatic game and is hiding an Ace up his sleeve. Talk to HH.
….its not conclusive to say PF cannot be judged in Two years….give us a time frame in which they can be judged…3, 4 or 5 years..??
For your information we do not need to judge them, agriculture output performance is based on figures….we have not experienced any draught the last 3years, therefore we expect a certain level of out put in maize (what we can call bumper harvest) in comparison to the last 5years. The same goes with other agriculture produce…groundnuts, milk, beef, sunflower, potatoes etc….the figures will show
ZWD ba cabe! I am not surprised. Next Mutembo is going if not nolle and then bring more confusion in MMD and lo and behold the agenda will be on MMD not constitution and soon we will be in 2016 without constitution and a win boom
WRONG, come on RB you will sound wiser if quite than reducing yourself to trash talk like this..
Yamunyokola njala
Ba RB there is no improvement, the population of Zambia has grown and food price has gone up. The Paya Farmers promised to to do everything in 90 days, but now look at how much Zambia has borrowed when the MMD was working at reducing debts. Another one billion dollars Eurobond, where are we going? RB should be realistic.
Ba opposition lekeni tuteke ba nkusa
He is now scared because his son Andrew was sent to prison next it will be him hence putting in a good word for PF, too late never trust your friend Sat.
“Mr. Banda has also observed that agriculture in the country is improving citing foreign investors who have shown interest to take part in agricultural activities of the country”.
RB IS TRYING TO BUY FREEDOM FOR HIS SONS. ANYWAY THAT IS SATA’S GREATEST WEAPON- BLACKMAILING.
Ma bwana now your analysis is leaning towards mushotas psycosis
@Zed@crossroad did I hear you call yourself uzeress? And @Goncalves you will die of ichikonko! Hahaha! Long live Sata! Long live PF!
