Chitimukulu choice is final – Mucheleka

Share

Government has been urged to acknowledge its own mistakes and accept the choice of the Bemba speaking people for Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.
Patrick Mucheleke a member of the Bemba Royal Establishment (BRE) says the choice of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu is final.

Mr. Mucheleka, who is also Lubansenshi Constituency Independent Member of Parliament, says the Bemba Royal Establishment followed the laid-down procedures leading to the enthronement of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

He says he does not understand government’s basis of argument that the right procedure was not followed in choosing the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu when everything was done in accordance with the laid-down procedure.

Mr Mucheleka adds that government is not part of the Bemba Royal Council hence has no powers to interfere in the royal succession.

  1. Bembas are just a useless lot. How do you allow an outsider treat your chief like the way the intelligent Sosala is being treated. Actually if you compare Sosala and ugly Luo, the Chief is the one who thinks like a professor and Lou like a ‘kamalasha’ from Mpika!

    • its the power in the money!!! this is how u can know that some tribes like money so much that, they can even betray/neglect their own…………Sosala has is one victim!!

    • Mucheleka is a confused lot. why would he want GRZ not to have anything to do with the Chiti Mukulu but at the same time desiring GRZ to recognize Sosala the man of his choice?

Does the boy know that Zambia will always have one government at a time?

There are 73 ethnic groupings in Zambia, and if all said GRZ will have nothing to do with their chiefdoms, how many governments are we going to have?

Besides, who told Mucheleka that Chiti Mukulu is Paramount Chief of Bemba speaking groups? Does he know what are Bemba speaking groups? Here you are talking of Central, Luapula, all Northern and Muchinga Provinces. Surely which Lamba, Lala, Bisa, Namwanga, Mambwe, Nyika, Ngumbo, Lunda, Chishinga etc would accept such wapt thinking?

  2. Henry kanyanta sosala sold all the land in Mwamba chiefdom and used the proceeds to corrupt bashilubemba so that they appoint him chitimukulu. The right successor should have been MAXWELL KAFULA MUCHELEKA. Under normal circumstances sosala should have been demoted to the position of chief mpepo because of corruption.

    • Are you talking about Maxwell Kafula Mucheleka who is the current chief Chikwanda of Mpika and why do you think he should have been the right successor?

    • Really? What about you who has failed to solve the new constitution, the near to worthless Kwacha, the absent Michael Chilufya Mwango Katongo Sata e.t.c. Aren’t these more important?

  3. The Bembas have learnt a bitter-tasting lesson for allowing themselves to being led by foreign human genetic resources. Since Tanzania does not recognise traditional Chiefs, Zambians cannot expect a Swahili or Kikuyu or Luo or Yao or indeed a Mwakyusa to respect OUR CHITIMUKULU. These are hard facts for the mute Bembas. Ba Sinon Mwansa Kapwepwe must be turning in agony in His Grave.

  4. Mucheleka is a useless politician supporting a former convict.Prof LUO has a point.Sosala did not follow procedure….why are you supporting illegality ? Think before you criticise Sata.

  5. This is an own goal. Why try to divert people’s attention from the real issues facing the Zambian people? The Bembas have the capacity to sort this one out on their own, without outside interference. Forward with Bashilubemba.

  6. Too much talk of procedures not being followed. Can Luo state clearly which ones were flouted , then we shall compare the notes
