Coach Zeddy Saileti has hailed the performance of new Nkana central defender Amos Simwanza in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Nchanga Rangers.
Simwanza made a fantastic Nkana debut just two days after switching from Konkola Blades.
Saileti partnered Simwanza with Derrick Mwansa at the heart of Nkana’s backline in Saturday’s rescheduled Week 10 game at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
“His performance was superb I can’t complain,” Saileti said.
Simwanza could have joined Nkana just at the start of this season had the deal not fallen through at the eleventh hour.
“I have confidence in him, I have seen him play in the Super League for many years so I didn’t gamble. I knew what he can do,” he added.
Simwanza was an instrumental player at Konkola where his inspiring performances earned him the clubs’ vice-captaincy.
