Government has assured the people of Zambia that government has put everything in place to ensure that there will be no shortages of drugs in the country by next year.
Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya has told QFM News in an interview that government is strengthening the supply chain to ensure that there are drugs in health institutions at all times.
Dr. Chilufya says it is for this reason that government is currently decentralizing the Medical Stores of Zambia in a bid to create regional hubs across the country.
He says health institutions will not be needed to order medicines from Lusaka but that they will easily access them from the regional hubs.
He adds that government has declared a zero tolerance to drug stock out in the country.
They are the best government we have ever hard and it would be completely foolish to disbelieve them here.
This is good news
Thanks
I believe them wholeheartedly
Thanks
ANOTHER LIE BELIEVED BY ONE DUNDERHEAD AND BLOWJOB CHIEF MUSHOTA
That is what we heard last year… and the year before that – and in the government before this one. BS everywhere!
I am personally not moved by such statements. Especially when delivered by the current government. I have heard too many of their promises which ended up as mere cheap lip service. It is very difficult for me to believe anyone who has made it a perpetual habit to tell lies. When everything is said and done, let more be done than said. I will take the government at its words but I will only be impressed when things get done and not when the promises are made.
Again we wish PF, God’s Blessing and may He part the waters to create a positive passage for this worthy ambition. All things can be achieved through Him who is able exceedingly to bring forth fruit to our works.
One thing I note about opposition is their obstructive dialog. They accuse the gov’t frequently of not having plans and yet, when gov’t announce the plans they accuse the gov’t of not being able to carrying them through…; as though they have a crystal ball to gaze through. You know like little cackling Halloween witches….wearing bandanas and loop earrings….like UPND men folk do!!
This is a joke ……No shortages of Drugs in Zambia next year? We have been saying this since Independence in 1964,we still cant get it right.
very hilarious!!!!!
BE SERIOUS WITH WHAT YOU SAY AND DO!!!!!!!!
I will believe this hallucination only when the “apamwamba” stop this medical tourism and channel that money into improving our local health institutions.
Wow! 1.1.15 is less than 90 days!
It is possible but the culture of thieving. since we cant restructure the judiciary why cant we have special courts like PAC to deal with stealing public funds, corruption, leaking documents and stealing of drugs.
THERE SHOULDNT BE ANY SHORTAGE OF DRUGS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!
I think the Minister should have given us the result of their root cause analysis for us to believe that the drug shortages can be effectively prevented by decentralising Medical Stores. Has the problem been lack of decentralisation (distribution), or the funding and procurement? I think it is the latter, so even if you decentralise to the last hospital, if drugs are not procured, you will only be decentralising the excuses!
