About one hundred youths from different organizations in Mongu District of Western Province have called on their colleagues in the province to rally behind PF Presidential candidate Edgar Lungu in the fourth coming presidential By- elections.
Speaking on behalf of the youths in an interview in Mongu District today, Namakando Lilandwe said under the PF government Western Province has seen massive developmental projects such as road construction, creation of new districts and employment for youths.
Miss. Lilandwe added that the province has also seen the allocation of funds in the 2015 National Budget towards the construction of King Lewanika University in Mongu District and a Science Technical University in Nalolo District respectively.
She pointed out that during the PF government the youths witnessed a draft driven people’s constitution and an increase in the allocation of Youth Development Fund (YDF) which has benefited a lot of youths in the province.
Miss. Lilandwe emphasized that there was need for the projects and programs introduced by PF government to be completed in order for the people of Zambia to have a fair judgment in 2016.
She added that the youths have chosen to rally behind PF president Edgar Lungu for continuity despite different parties expressing interest to contest for presidency.
She has since urged all the youths in the Province and the nation as a whole to allow the PF government finish its five years mandate of delivering to the people and focus on the year 2016 for possible change.
Meanwhile Miss Lilandwe has further called on the youths to reflect and begin eyeing for key possible leadership positions for possible generation change.
She noted that the country was yearning for a young vibrant leadership beyond 2016 stressing that the parents had a fair share of leadership in past 50 years.

Grand, you deserve an accolade for your humor. Unfortunately, you are still getting it wrong. That was PF then. Yes UPND lost the Magango by-election, albeit narrowly. But it was Kabimba and Sylvia Masebo on the campaign trail for PF during the by-election. PF today is in tatters and in serious shambles. I will be the most humbled if EL will manage to grab even a single province from HH. If it does happen, it will be a face saver for PF. Still, I humbly respect your esteemed opinion.
I can see why EL has been indignant about giving up his ministerial positions. He knows he has no political ground anywhere. I doubt that he will even be able to hold on to the party presidency within PF.
Looks like EL will carry the day. HH will struggle to get position 2 for the first time he goes head to head with MMD. 2021 is be for HH if he does not throw in the towel.
This will be the most painful decision I will make depending on Sampa’s court outcome on Monday and also depending on the possibility of a splinter new PF party formation which I intend to join once formed, I will be left with no option but to support Edith Nawakwi (Economist). Those who were around from 1993 would appreciate how much work she did in areas of water and sanitation for example whilst working under the Ministry of Enervy and Water Development through the Community Management and Monitoring Unit and later through NWASCO. She deserves a vote from each one of us.

According to data from the electoral commission, only 54% of the registered the 5.5 million voted in the 2011 general election. Turn out in percentage terms was as follows;

Copperbelt 59.50%
Eastern 49.89%
Luapula 50.49%
Lusaka 52.05%
Northern 57.28%
North Western 54.88%
Southern 58.04%
Western 47.77%
Generally in the PF strongholds turnout was stronger. Look at Luapula and Western provinces. This is suggesting the EL is the next head of state. PF don’t be complacent go out and tell your supporters to turn out in large numbers.

Look at all those women, (appearance) its obvious that they are from Lusaka. I happen to have gone home recently and I visited Lusaka and many other towns as well. The Lusaka population seems to be competing with Americans in gaining weight. It is however not the same with many other towns and it is not so in the villages.
So, it is obvious that those people were imported from Lusaka in the name of an advance party to welcome the party president.

PF already had a bit of a foothold in Mongu Central, Nalolo and recently Magango. All of that combined is only a tiny piece of a large cake as far as Western Province is concerned. EL was concerned he might run out of jet fuel. So he had to head back to Lusaka.

And may I remind you that the people in Barotseland have not taken kindly to PF’s lies now being perpetuated by EL himself, as PF’s new face. I love Kenyans but hate their tribalism – probably the worst in Africa. Frankly, my screen name would be too good for any Kenyan. It’s fully Zambian – Mei = Water, Matungu= deep water as in when one wades in deep water. Any wonder I have such a soft spot for lakes Mweru and Bangweulu. Yours to guess where I hail from.
I learnt how to swim at a tender age. Any wonder I could not be impressed by those useless PF cadres who would make a show trying to paddle a canoe along Lusaka’s Cairo Road! Patriot, actions speak louder than words. May be for the first time in the history of Zambian politics, a case has seen itself rise all the way to the Supreme Court in an effort to resolve an internal party wrangle. This is the party EL is presiding over.
Further, there is no question that EL has alienated some within PF. That is my concern. You seem to be referring to his inner circle of friends. Sata’s view was that everyone in PF mattered. Since Lungu took over, the party has practically split into two.

To correct Ms Lilandwe, on the statement that Young Leadership is necessarily the winning formula for the future.
We are witnessing currently the ineptness of young Leadership from Sampa, and HH. Youth righteousness is a danger to Zambia. Most of these ‘youths’ just want to work with external Investors to create wealth for parties external to Zambia, and make Zambians Cheap Labour; they have corrupt minds.
Investment is only investment if the wealth generated is for the good of the country. What we are witnessing is the abuse of our Land and Mining resources and the wealth going externally.
It is a steady development plan which changes the Skill Levels of the Citizens of Zambia that is required. More Entrepreneurs creating self wealth.
Edgar Lungu is just right for now. Let us back him.
