FELIX Mutati says MMD Members of Parliament should swallow their pride and join the winning team of UPND.
And UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema has bragged that he is the only man with the skills to solve the problems of Zambia.
Speaking during a Public rally in Mufulira Mutati who is in the UPND campaign team said there is nothing in the MMD that people should look for.
“Am asking all the MMD Members of Parliament to come and join the winning team. We need to work together to transform the economy of this country. To create jobs for the Zambian people because we know how the people are suffering,” Mutati said.
Hichilema who made numerous promises said he has the skills to transform the country.
“I have the skills to solve problems. I will ensure that the mines benefit the Zambian people,” he claimed.
Among others that attended the rally included ADD president Charles Milupi, former Finance minister Situmbeko Musokotwane, Patrick Mucheleka and former first lady Maureen Mwanawasa.
However, Movement for Multi party Democracy (MMD) President Nevers Mumba has appealed to all party members to remain focused and embrace unity.
Dr. Mumba says he has hope and trust that the members have the potential to turn around the negative things and forge ahead.
Dr. Mumba explains that he has been working tirelessly to ensure that every member of the party understands the vision of the party and see to that everyone has the responsibility to help shape the vision of the party.
He says the party is doing so to answer the demands of the majority Zambians who want a party that will listen to their cries and address their challenges.
Dr. Mumba states that it is in this regard that the focus should be collectively on unity than answer back to individuals who only want to distract the efforts of others.
HH is the only hope we have.
HH will not win the elections though

Government has challenged United Party for National Development UPND president Haikainde Hichilema to explain what happened to the hundreds of millions of dollars that went missing when he engineered the privatization of RAMCOZ and other parastatals.
Chief Government spokesperson Ronnie Shikapwasha in an interview with QFM said Mr Hichilema should not try to come out clean on the sale of RAMCOZ but explain the criteria and procedures used to sell off the mine which subsequently resulted in the suffering of the ex-workers of the company.
He said Government has all the information with regards the manner in which Mr Hichilema handled the privatization of parastatals…

Mwanawasa came to power after Zambians under FTJ Chiluba and his Finance Ministers (Kasonde,Penza,Nawakwi,Katele Kalumba) had painfully followed the Structural adjustment programme of the IMF,World Bank and other prescriptions from other international lenders to qualify for debt forgiveness under the Highly Indebted Poor Country(HIPC)programme. A lot of countries in Africa have benefit from that programme. In fact Mwanawasa delayed Zambia’s qualification to HIPC due a budget over run in his first since he traveled too much!! Mwanawasa liked to single handedly claim success without reference to those who created the foundation to a point where claimed Lumwana and Kansanshi as his initiatives when not- investment just matured during his era!
This country called Zambia, we seem to be going round in cirlces, making do with the same old chpas under different platforms. Iyai, I wouldn’t want to belive for once that Zambia is short of credible people! We cannot be recycling the same spent forces, the same chaps we gave the boot in 2011!

Mr H needs to answer the HOW? question now if he is to be credible. While some of his apologists argue that Mr H will not give us the answer to the ‘HOW’ question because his policies will be ‘stolen’ by the ruling party, this argument highlights a sinister aspect of his personality (the me complex) – he is the only one who can do it or no one at all. If he has all the answers to our national challenges, then it is his patriotic duty to give the nation the gift of his wisom? Could the truth be just that he has no idea of how to solve our problems? Some of the aspiring presidents are promising to reduce the price of fuel, mealie meal, pay monthly salary of K1,000 to each and every person who is not in formal employment! But they are not telling us how that will be done! These are just mare speculations that have no substance. Never expect any change when such people are ushered into office. Let these MP go and experience searching for jobs in the economy which they created. They were part of the failed leadership. They should not be rewarded for poor performance. By jumping from one political party to another at the drop of a hat, they have no honest governing agenda. They are just looking for a job.
We already know and have experienced that 50 years of doing the same thing (same policies and politicians) and expecting a different outcome is the true definition of INSANITY.
HH has no skills to offer Zambia, the structural unemployment Zambia has experienced in the last 20 years are the results of his poor ‘skills’ at handling the privatisation of national assets!
And Zambians should not be cheated that HH will change anything, UPND do not have enough members in parliament to sponsor any law and expect it to pass. In multi party state, a President is only effective if his party controls parliament. This election can be a career ender for HH, 2 years is too short a time to have any influence in parliament with minority MPs. If he wins, in 2016 I doubt if people will vote for a ‘homage’ President from a minority party who could not do anything he promised.
