Caf has not selected any Zambian match officials to referee at the CHAN finals after naming 18-member panel for the tournament on Monday.
However, Caf has appointed four match officials from Cosafa zone namely referee Verson Lwanja and assistant referee Moffat Champiti both from Malawi.
The other two from the Cosafa zone are referees Jean-Claude Labrosse from the Seychelles and Rajindrasad Seechurn of Mauritius.
And the rest of the match officials have been drawn from Egypt, Morocco, Togo, Gabon, Benin, Tunisia, Nigeria, Niger Mauritania and Sudan including two from the host nation.
Caf has put two officials on the reserve list and they are referee Ibrahim Chaibou from Niger and assistant referee Sadai Mountaga from Mauritania.
Meanwhile other countries that have qualified to the CHAN finals and have not match official representation are DR Congo, Libya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

National Team Update
Herve Renard is honestly hoping he is not the king of wishful thinking and has prophesied that defender Elijah Tana will join the Zambia national team tomorrow, Wednesday on the eve of the squads departure for the CHAN tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
Tana has been officially missing from camp and away in Angola for the last eight days since February 8 after taking two days off to finalize a deal that will see him rejoin Angolan giants Petro Atletico whom he played for from 2003 to 2006.
“He did not communicate to me but to a member of the national team technical bench,” Renard said.
Renard alleges that Tana was in Namibia with Petro where they are on their pre-season training camp.
However, Petro were on Saturday in Swaziland playing hosts Royal Leopards in a Caf Africa Champions League preliminary stage return leg match that the Angolan side won 3-0 to qualify 6-0 on aggregate.
Tana was not in the traveling party.
Meanwhile, Zambia leave for Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday.

This has not a surprise to me,CAF is dominated by western Africans and their actions have been discriminatory.In Southern African they only know South Africa period.Its not only here were the performance of referees is below par,watch african leagues and you will concur with me.To date CAF President has never been here to mourn our late players but he is ever punctual at Mac V Foe’s memorial services.
it’s all because of poor state of our stadiums,our officials seem like they can’t officiate in such important games.
Ha, now Refs issue is a circus. Now this Tana, what is wrong with him, rememeber for the Africa Cup of Nations, he cheated the team that joining them at the airport but he never pitched up nor travelled,history is repeating itself. Tana should know that he is not indespensable, he was noticed due to international games he featured for Zambia and holding us to ransom if not the right way to go about it. I know he is in his twilight of his career but decency must be observed.

Our domestic soccer league is way too low to be providing officials at continental tournaments.I recommend CAF to leave out Zambian officials at the CHAN tournament to avoid making disasterious mistakes in crucial encounters.

Its not the first time CAF is treating Zambia in that manner, we are used to such treatment tournament in and out. We have had for many years no Zambian match officails at high profile games. This is because our bola administrators are not respected by CAF. When we lost the entire natioanl team what did we receive nothing. But a guy who used to play pro soccer in Europe died on the pitch, CAF organised a fund raising match for his widow. As for Tana its not long ago when he was dropping red tears that he was being sidelined. He has short memeory like a lizard.If i were coach would have left him out, he is going to destablise the team. Enough is enough national interest is paramount.
