Acting president Guy Scott says he will only make a proper judgment on the January 20th presidential election after the winner has been declared.
Dr. Scott says he is waiting for the the election to come to an end.
Asked whether he is proud that he has carried out a smooth power transition as acting republican President, Dr. Scott has told Qfm News that so far he perceives things to be good.
He has however noted that the aftermath of the presidential election results will still have to be considered in deducing whether the power transition has been smooth or not.
Dr. Scott says this is will also include how peaceful political parties that have contested the election will be.
He says these factors will have to be considered before the power transition can be considered smooth and over.
And Dr. Scott has maintained that he cannot predict how his political future will be in ruling Patriotic Front not until after the presidential election.

PF has won the presidency but has lost the hearts of many Zambians. Why has PF lost some of its voters which HH gained? just watch the space as 2016 comes. In fact one warning is that the incoming president will have a hard time what with the poor copper prices and growth rate of below 4%. 2016 will therefore be rougher.
I don’t like it when some people use superstitions to scare other people. Also when they are selective in their judgement. It is only wise to comment after the winner has been declared. This is the maturity needed in the political arena. Not a situation we have of people throwing tantrums on the ECZ and fellow political parties. I wish we had more sober characters like Scott in politics. May the winner be declared soon, we are tired of waiting for just a few constituencies the whole day. Are they still voting or counting or we are in for a rude shock?
Guy Scott conducted himself shamefully after Sata,s death and brought divisions to PF which almost lost PF the elections. He has a well known hatred for EL which he only managed to conceal after it became clear that EL was, with the solidarity of his Cabinet colleagues, unstoppable. He cannot work in harmony with EL. His fate is already decided by his mistrust of EL. On the other hand the loyalty and solid support rendered to EL by Inonge Wina is rare for a woman in politics. She deserves the Vice Presidency having risked everything for EL and the PF. She is a soft spoken but very courageous lady.

On the other hand, one can control political enemies by keeping them close in a lowly ‘non access to President’ role, thus keeping them out of the Loop of inner secrets in case they sell out. By far the best is to get rid of them,…..ethically of course. Internal wrangles cost too much in publics perception of the Party.

Patriot Abroad – Yes, Scott should be out — he almost brought chaos to the country due to his hatred of Edgar. Atanga, GBM, Munkombwe, Masebo and many such should be out. EL needs to nominate, say, 3 MPs from SP – respectable Southerners to integrate the province into national politics. Bring Lubinda back into cabinet – and decide seriously on Simusa and Chenda (these two characters never made any effort to quell the polarization of the South – their stock value is very low). I am waiting to see who EL picks for VP.
