Draw with Mufulira Wanderers irks Power Dynamos

Share

Striker Jimmy Ndhlovu says he is bitter that his side Power Dynamos failed to beat Mufulira Wanderers in the two teams FAZ Super League match that finished 1-1 at Arthur Davies Stadium on Saturday.

Power laboured to pick a point in the round six game as they needed a late equaliser from Ndhlovu to cancell Moses Nyambe’s early goal.

“As a team we are disappointed with the draw because we wanted all the three points,” Ndhlovu said.

He said it was regrettable that Power have collected one point in their last two games having lost to Zanaco in a midweek game prior to facing Mighty.

“We lost three points on Wednesday against Zanaco so we wanted to get maximum points today. But as much as I am disappointed I am happy we got a point,” Ndhlovu said.

Wanderers coach Manfred Chabinga celebrated the draw.

“I am happy. We were playing at Power Dynamos’ home ground and you know Power is a big team,” Chabinga said.

He spared some praises for his debutant goalkeeper Joshua Manyonga.

“I thank the goalkeeper he saved the team so much,” he said.

Mighty have eight points from six games in which they have recorded two wins, two draws and two defeats.

  1. Mighty just got promoted now after a long time playing in the first division i dont think they do have enough experienced players compared to Power Dynamos on paper one will think Power was going to run over wanderers but they failed with all the money and sponsorship which CEC have put into the team i feel the team is a disappointment outfit to watch

    • Bernard you are such a fool. You must have been listening to Radio Ichengelo’s commentary. US that watched the game from the terraces can attest that the refereeing was nothing to write home about. To say least. You cant have each Mighty player that drops down has to be stretchered out without stopping the watch. Worse still the Goal keeper. He kept going down and this Manfred coach is even praising him. Shame.
