The opposition MMD has described the move by its former Petauke Central MP Dora Siliya to apply to recontest the seat on the PF ticket as expected.
MMD Spokesman Raphael Nakacinda said in an interview that Ms. Siliya’s move to the PF is meant to satisfy her personal desires.
‘This has nothing to do with her desire to serve the people of Petauke or further our democracy as a nation but simply about her personal ambitions,’ Mr Nakacinda said.
He added, ‘as a party, we are not surprised by the turn of events because the signs were there to see where she was headed. We wish her well.’
Mr Nakacinda also revealed that the MMD and the PF have not held any negotiations on the possibility of entering into an alliance for the Petauke Central by election.
One would have to be a stupid politician to stand on MMD ticket. With Sekwila at the top the MMD died on 20th January 2015 and was buried same day like a moslem. Sekwila overrated himself. Surely for a selfish ego he went on to hijack and destroy a once vibrant party, leaving the owners totally lost. Some pastors itz sad.

How desperate was MMD to be ‘ swallowed ‘ so fast? It’s prominence has faded and soon it will be a thing of the past. Such greed makes politics lose relevance. patriotism should lead but nowadays we form ‘briefcase parties’ to auction after the election to the winner. Pathetic! Now MMD can only bargain with PF as an underdog( junior). This trend can return us to the one -party system if unchecked. Do not blame Dora, you (Nakacinda) would have done the same – stomach of the belly.

Dora is not welcome in PF. Anyone talking about Dora getting into PF to add numbers and value is choking my spirit. Admitting Dora into PF is throwing a toss to celebrate Sata’s death. Of all the people who demeaned Sata while he was alive, Dora was number one. Even recently long after Sata was put to rest, Dora is quoted as insulting him by linking him to a worst form of xenophobia than what is is obtaining in South Africa. If Dora is to be a PF member let her remain an ordinary one. Let her not get back to parliament to continue lifting the middle finger on the PF ticket. Re-adopting people whose seats were nullified on account of corruption and made to represent the aggrieved party PF defies logic.
