President Michael Sata will tomorrow, Thursday, 29th September, 2011, address a press conference at State House at 11:00 hours.
Members of the press are requested be seated by 10:30 hours. This is contained in a press statement release by Principle Private Secretary to the President Mr Francis Chalabesa.
Both local and foreign journalists are invited to cover the press conference and should submit their names through the Press Office at Zambia News and Information Services at the Mass Media Complex.

I cant believe how some people on here wont give the president time to carefully pick his cabinet. the biggest fault is the constitution because its unheard of, for power to be passed on the next day after elections. The president has done well with the airports name changes and #5 and #6 thats an accomplishment believe it or not. Perception is the biggest word in politics and on record he has done something that im sure alot of people would have approved of.
Say what you like about the constitution (good, bad, whatever), but the lack of lame duck period is hardly a surprise so is no excuse for not being ready to take control of government from day one.

If Sata won’t lose it, he has a chance of really putting Zambia on the course of real development. He needs the support of all Zambians, but he also should not be given a blank cheque, right from the start, it should be clear for him that we are no longer dosile.
