Zanaco coach Keagan Mumba says Faz Super Division defending champions Power Dynamos deserve to be on top of the league table.
Power beat Napsa 2-1 at Arthur Davies Stadium on Sunday to close the two-point gap between themselves and Zanaco and move to the top on 59 and 58 points respectively after 29 matches played.
Midfielder Emmanuel Chimpinde and winger Simon Bwalya scored the vitals goals for the Arthur Davies outfit while Michael Silavwe scored a consolation goal via a penalty.
Mumba told Kitwe’s Radio Icengelo that Power are enjoying good form.
“Power deserves to be on top they have been playing so well and we have been drawing. That is the difference between Power and Zanaco. We have drawn the last four games they have won the last four games,” he said.
Mumba said he was not bitter that Power have dislodged his side from the summit of the table.
“Power are the defending champions and Zanaco we have just been contestants. We are not bitter. We have no hard feelings. For us we are proud that we are playing continental next season. This is the team (Zanaco) which finished 8thlast season,” Mumba added.
Power now have a another date with destiny in Lusaka this time with Red Arrows on November 10 in a match they need to win to retain the title for a second successive season.
In 2011, Power also clinched the title in Lusaka last year on the penultimate day of the season with a 1-0 win over Zanaco at Sunset Stadium.
Zanaco face Nkana away in Kitwe in their last fixture.

It seems Keegan is happy and had his own target for this season. If Zanaco dont win the league, Keegan should be fired. I will be very surprised if he is not fired. Zanaco has been playing the most boring football this season and all their wins have not been inspiring. This team could have done far much better. Fighton or Wedson should come back.

Sensational Zanaco deserves better. Keegan Mumba was definately not the best coach the Zanaco mgt should have employed to lead the club.Its high time mgt swallowed their pride and brought back Fighton simukonda.He has continental club experience.
2011, he said CB has made him a good coach when he was busy pushing papers for a job at ZANACO, he signed contractual papers before the season ended i.e. last year. Please Power Administration do not fall to this man’s ploy, he is a “Media Coach” and does nothing on the pitch, he wants a job at Power FC that I know. Nkana FC, please embarrass this guy for me by beating his team convincingly.
