Nevers fails to pitch up for questioning

Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) President Nevers Mumba this morning failed to appear for questioning before the Government joint investigative team.

Dr. Mumba was on Friday summoned for questioning in connection with offences allegedly committed during his stay in Canada as Zambia’s High Commissioner.

Dr. Mumba was expected to unveil himself before the team of investigators at Woodlands Police station at 10 hours.

But Dr. Mumba’s lawyer, Makebi Zulu of Fred Jere and company, who was in the company of MMD die hard youth wing coordinator Bowman Lusambo and Scorpion Kadobi at Woodlands Police station this morning said his client could not avail himself before the investigative team because the summon was on short notice.

Mr. Zulu said it was already indicated on Friday last week when his client was being issued with the summons that he would only appear for questioning on Wednesday.

He told journalists that Dr. Mumba can only be available tomorrow Wednesday.

MMD vice president for administration, Brian Chituwo, was also spotted at Woodlands Police station.

The combined team of investigators was by press time at the police station waiting for Dr. Mumba to present himself.

And when reached for a comment, Government joint investigations team Spokesperson Namukolo Kasumpa maintained that the summons issued to Dr Mumba to appear today still stand.

Ms. Kasumpa later told QFM News in a telephone interview that Dr. Mumba’s lawyer has indicated that his client will appear before the investigations team this afternoon at 14 hours.

Never dare the Police, never dare authority, never dare the state, never dare those bestored with authority especially if you have done something wrong. The son of Lupiya will never see mther Zambia because of daring the state when there i when s a case at hand involving him. HH tried to dare the Police and her knows how far he could go before the long hands made him realize something. The state never sleeps with closed eyes. Nevers’ Canadian case is vivid. Some money was misapplied, misappropriated or misused. Lets hear more. Authority has always a long clean or dirty hand. Just be wary of this plain fact.

I wanted to put you this little observation to finally give many thanks over again for these incredible suggestions you have contributed on this website. It was really pretty open-handed of people like you to deliver openly all that a lot of people would’ve marketed as an e-book to get some dough for themselves, notably given that you might well have tried it in the event you considered necessary. The guidelines as well worked to become fantastic way to be sure that someone else have a similar interest really like my very own to figure out great deal more when it comes to this issue. I know there are lots of more fun times up front for people who discover your blog.
