Newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Mangango Constituency Lingweshi Lyambai has been whisked away to Lusaka for safety immediately after scooping the seat.
Ministry of Commerce Deputy Minister Miles Sampa who is also Matero Constituency Member of Parliament disclosed the development to ZANIS today in Mangango.
Mr Sampa said the party decided to take Mr Lingweshi Lyambai to Lusaka immediately after scooping the seat to secure his safety following attacks on him by unknown people a few days ago.
He said the newly elected MP will be in Lusaka until when security in Mangango improves.
Mr Sampa urged the vanquished opposition political parties to concede defeat just as the PF does when it loses elections.
And Mr Sampa commended the PF campaign team in Mangango for running a strong issue based campaign to the electorates of delivering development to the area.
Mr Sampa expressed hope that the PF will win the forthcoming five by- elections scheduled for September 11, 2014.

Its not now when the Magongo people will fight that MP for lies told on his behalf by the PF. People will demand for more money they were promised. And probably the people who are after him are PF cadres who helped rig the elections. They want their full pay after helping PF scoop the seat.
The dust is not yet settled in magongo. PF cadres transported from other parts of the country are now demanding for full pay after they delivered victory for PF by voting using voters cards the PF bought from the poor people of magongo.
If the PF continues like this then Zambia will need a bit of blood shed to strengthen our democratic tenets and justice system, like what the American and the rest of Europe had to under go to achieve the the kind of democracy they enjoy today.
Now I know why the Americans had to battle it out in the civil war, why the British and French had to cut their Kings’ heads at some point, why the whole of Europe had to endure the evils of the two world wars.
Fair justice and real democratic values do not come cheap folks. We have got to be ready to fight for them and sacrifice our lives for them. To do other wise would be to accept servitude and slavery at the hands of our f00lish treacherous politicians who get into power to steal from the poor and decimate their lively hood.
For Africa to attain the kind of development and democracy enjoyed by Europe and America, there is got be a huge revolution to sweep the rest of Africa to readjust all the borders and punish the perpetrators of injustice and rampant corruption.
If the guy has won elections, surely the majority who voted for him should outnumber the opposition, thereby shielding him from attacks. Too early to conclude that HH is behind these alleged attacks.

The problem with habitual law-breakers is that whenever an opportunity arises such as the unexpected winning of the seat in Mangango, they always think other people/parties will emulate their evil ways. No one would want to harm Mr Lyambai. As a matter of fact, due to his age and economic status, many people including those from the losing parties would congratulate him for “making history”. Come on HH, just congratulate your grandpa. Invite him for a good meal of beef/chicke (kasumbi) stew and buhobe bwa ku zwaka (nhima from a mixture of maize and cassava meal). Lol.
This is the most fulish way of stating the real reason why the old MP has been whisked away! The elections are over, he should sit down to work, instead of foolishly diverting people’s attention now that it is time to work. I fail to understand the move taken by PF to rescue the Hon new MP from his constituency to Lusaka.If this guy was voluntarily voted by the majority numbers we have been given,surely he has no basis for his fears.Lusaka probably has more UPND members than Mangango and therefore he is at more risk here than where he has come from.Moreover,who will be protecting him on a daily basis as he has to consult his constituency on what to present to Parliament?

It is with doubt that the new MP, Mr Lyambayi’s life is in danger in Mangango.
Mr Sampa is creating an impression to the nation that there are security issues in Mangango and that other losing parties are creating terror of insecurity for the new MP. This is a heinous LIE that spanks in the face of democracy. Lyambayi is the victor and implies is more popular in the area hence his safety is secure all things being normal. The state machinery that helped him to victory is available in the area.Other PF individuals armed with guns like Masumba in the are certainly re reinforce safety for Lyambayi in the area. Police that arrested opposition members in the area have not abandoned Mangango. All this goes to emphasize safety of the new MP. Sampa to whisk new MP away to Lusaka for safety is

I don’t understand how a person who has won by majority vote can fear the same people that voted him in.
