Edgar Lungu has promised to sign the statutory recognizing Henry Kanyanta Sosala as the Chitimukulu the moment he walks through the doors of State House.
Lungu said the process of recognizing Sosala was already underway even before President Sata died.
Speaking this afternoon at a rally in Lusaka’s Mandevu compound Mr.Lungu stated that government has taken steps to recognise Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba People.
He stated that Government had withdrawn police presence from the Palace and the Paramount Chief was free to occupy the palace.
Mr. Lungu has promised to listen to everything that the people of Zambia instruct him to do once he is elected President.
Mr. Lungu says he will do everything that the people of Zambia want him to do because as leader he is a servant of the people and therefore must listen to them.
Mr. Lungu stated that once he is elected republican President he will ensure the enactment of the country’s constitution before the 2016 general elections.
Mr. Lungu has also warned companies that are not paying taxes to government that once he is elected President all unpaid taxed will be recovered and that no company will be shielded from paying taxes.
He said that once he is elected president his government will also respect the rule of law by respecting the decisions of the Judiciary.
The PF presidential candidate has also assured the nation that he will ensure that the retirement age of 65 years announced by government be revisited as he prefers that the process of setting the retirement age should involve consultations from all stakeholders.
He said that under his government Zambia will remain a Christian nation.
Mr. Lungu has since asked Zambians to pray for him and his fellow leaders in government that they continue being humble as they ascended to powerful positions of leadership.
And in an apparent reference to the Post Newspaper, Mr. Lungu bragged that there is a newspaper that is currently making good sells because of writing stories about him.
He said that it has become a well known fact to him that the newspaper he has not named cannot sell without him being part of its news content.
Mr. Lungu was accompanied at the rally by among others his wife Esther, PF Secretary General Davis Chama, Youth and Sport Minister Chishimba Kambwili, Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda, Education Minister John Phiri and Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Frank Bwalya.

Also if, as he claims, he is following Sata’s vision then he should not give Zambians a new constitution because in more than 3 years Sata never gave us a new constitutiin despite promising us one within 90 days. Let’s be realistic. The Draft Constitution was released by Ed. he was commended by many Stakeholders for his Listening and Consultative style, which then DELIVERED the Draft within Weeks of his appointments. The Drafts been out for a while and all stakeholders have had time to discuss it, it is time to begin the final changes and agreements to alterations.
Now Ed is moving in for the killer. He is GOING TO RELEASE the CONSTITUTION in the remaining time.

One of the titles by the prolific authors of James Hadley Chase is ‘ The Dead Stay Dumb’. Apparently Sata , having died, is not available to confirm that the process for recognising Sosala as Chitimukulu had already commenced. Given the many lies by PF , including on the health of the late President, we have no reason to believe Lungu’s story that the process to recognise Sosala had commenced.
What is clear though is that the PF is becoming very desperate. Why are they promising to do the same things which they have been refusing to do over the past 3 years ? It would be silly for Zambians to trust the PF with the governance of this country again.

It would be naive to suggest that the constitution had been delayed by Wynter Kabimba for the 3 years that the PF has been in power – one would need great help to forget the numerous pronouncements by Sata that Zambia did not need a new constitution and his tasteless jokes about ‘ animal driven constitution’ or his insuluting those calling for the new constitution as ‘yapping’. Zambians should not feel indebted to Lungu for the release of the draft when the whole constution ought to have been ready within 90 days ! How can a Minister of Justice and therefore a member of cabinet talk of reducing the retirement age which was recently approved by cabinet and just yesterday was being justified by the Secretary to Cabinet? The same PF Government has been harassing Henry Kanyanta Sosala and today they want to recognize him? I’m sure as a traditional leader he cannot easily be fooled! At the end of the Mandevu rally MMD & UPND supporters were waving their party symbols. Lungu need to know that in management and administration there is what is called collective responsibility. Scott signed the law to adjust the retirement age upward. Being a member of cabinet Lungu agreed, the same way he agreed not to ve Ba Henry Sosala be installed Chitimukulu, the same way he agreed that Zambians will not eat a constitution. Actions are being haphazardly taken on issues being raised by the opposition which Team Lungu (PF) had opportunity to correct such as: refusal to recognize the Chitimukulu and withdrawing security personnel from palace, discuss amicably the retirement age, reinstating medical personnel, making affordable the staple food, lowering cost of fuel, reviewing the taxes regime, whither EL? Now you have your own vision do you?

All this big gatherings in both Mongu and Mandevu, Why is Post writing there were no people, poorly attended? This is what I call operation self deception. The man was addressing PF carders that his campaign team gathered in rosa buses from every corner of Lusaka province. This mbeva called EL is going to cry big. The crowds we see at HHs rallies in far provinces such as Luapula, Muchinga and Northern are genuine. HH is not transporting carders from one town to another to beef up the crowds at his rallies. He has started with remote towns in provinces were UNPD is weak and will conclude with his strong holds while EL is doing the opposite. You wonder who EL is trying to fool. He can hire carders but not voters. Flight HH2015 is on the right course.
