Stopilla Sunzu Out of Cecafa Cup

Midfielder Stopilla Sunzu will play no further part in this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup currently taking place in Kenya.

Sunzu, who limped off in Zambia’s opening Group A game against Kenya last Saturday, is now able to walk without the aid of crutches and was expected to be fit for Monday’s quarterfinal match.

However, Sunzu has been advised to take a 10-day rest as a precautionary measure but his injury is said not to be long-term as to rule him out of the Africa Cup final in Angola.

Meanwhile, Zambia were by press time awaiting to know their quarterfinal opponent who was to come from the best third placed team at the end of Saturdays final preliminary round group games.
