HH has accepted to be Pact Veep — RB

Share

President Rupiah Banda has disclosed that United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has now agreed to be vice-president of the UPND/ Patriotic Front Pact.

President Banda said he had information that Mr Hichilema had now agreed to be vice-president of the UPND/PF Pact, allowing the PF leader, Michael Sata to be the presidential candidate in the 2011 general elections.

Mr Banda said in a statement released by his special assistant for Press and public relations, Dickson Jere in Nice, France yesterday that this was contrary to what Mr Hichilema had promised the people of Southern Province.

He advised the UPND leader that the people of Southern Province had the right to choose a leader of their own choice.

He said Mr Hichilema could not, therefore, decide on behalf of the Southern Province and impose his political preference for a president on them.

He said there was nothing wrong with the statement attributed to Parliamentary Chief Whip, Vernon Mwaanga that some districts in Southern Province had resolved to support the ruling MMD.

President Banda said Mr Hichilema was not the spokesperson of the people of Southern Province and should not impose his political views on innocent people.

And President Banda said he was shocked to read comments attributed to Mr Hichilema that president Mwanawasa was a good leader.

He called on politicians to avoid using the name of the late president in order to gain political mileage.

Mr Banda said the late president had asked to work with Mr Hichilema and the UPND when he was alive but the opposition leader refused, saying president Mwanawasa was an incompetent leader.

“Mr Hichilema and his supporters called the late president all sorts of names and refused to work with him when he was alive,” he said.

He said Mr Hichilema abused the late president when he was alive by constantly attacking his performance and personality.

He said it was clear that Mr Hichilema had now become very desperate and power-hungry to the extent that he had forgotten what he used to say about late president Mwanawasa.

“It is, therefore, surprising that Mr Hichilema is now trying to exploit the name of the late president to advance his political career,” he said.

But speaking at the Newsmakers’ Forum yesterday, Mr Hichlema said President Banda was feeling terminally ill because he was worried about the pact, like Vice-President George Kunda himself.

‘‘We have said as a pact, we shall choose the president and his deputy at the right time and for now, that issue has never been discussed,’’ Mr Hichilema said.

He said he did not know the source of information, adding that President Banda’s aides should advise him correctly.

  1. These two clowns have now become the defacto spokespersons for the pact.Rb is the chief spokesperson while Gk is the deputy, well done gentlemen,we appreciate your voluntary works.Kindly continue propelling us to higher heights,we might remember you in 2011,but there is no guarantee for job seekers like you, once again thank for your efforts in building our PACT.

  2. Congrations to the PACT vice President Ichilema for his desperation and failed judgement to the finish line. I have said it time and again that this fragile and visionless pact is a marriage of convenience by dangerously desperate chronic ballot rejects disconnected from their establishments and sober sympathizers by principle, aspiration, value system and national interest. Its a PACT at the pyramid top without a base.

  3. So the government at the highest level has public relationz dutiez and mouth-piece for the PACT?

  4. Its unfortunate that time is being wasted on witch hunting as opposed to productive activities. Yes it is a fact that MMD will face a real challenge in 2011 but with the current situation in the oppossition, MMD will still prevail.

Its sad to state that HH has lost it and will never be president of this country if what RB is saying is the truth.Facts are facts, SATA being what every Zambian know him for, He can never never relinguish power to anyone. If he supported FTJ to be in power for ever.

Too bad for the Tonga BULL.

  5. President Banda said Mr Hichilema was not the spokesperson of the people of Southern Province and should not impose his political views on innocent people.

    Comment.
MR PRESIDENT YOU ARE THE BIGGEST LIAR AND SO SHAMEFUL ASWELL.
    YOU ARE USING PROPAGANDA NOW!
SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU BEEN THE LEADER OF UPND TO KNOW WHO WILL BE THE CHOICE OF THE PACT.

MR PRESIDENT I DO NOT GIVE A RAT’S ASS WHO YOU ARE.
YOU ARE USELESS AND NOW A LIAR WHO CLAIMS TO SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE SOUTHERN PROVINCE UPND PARTY.

YOUR ADVISORS(V.J) ARE LEADING YOU ASTRAY NOW.

  6. The good news is that UPND of Mwanamubotu Kambela Mazoka is an establishment of intelligent rationalist different from UPND version 2 of Ichilema. many are intelligent, mature and self judging progressives that are now revolting Ichilema’s wholesale failed leadership. Time has come when Ichilema will realise that he is not UPND and UPND of Mazoka is not him. He can retain his Vice Presidency in a marriage of convenience with Sata but progressives stepping forward to save UPND of Mazoka and the people that have vested much. They will don’t see themselves being subjugated by the myopia of Sata serving as deputies of Chishimba Kambwili, Kapata, Nsanda, Mumbi< GBM, Mukuka, Frank Bwalya and such sublevels.

  7. So the government at the highest level haz assumed public relationz dutiez and mouth-piece for the PACT?

  8. Everyone called levy a cabbage.

    You probably did too Rupiah.
That’s until you used his name to gain power.
Used his connections by saying you will follow his legacy.

    Mr president
Do you know what levy’s legacy was?
Do you want to put all guilty people in MMD where they should be?
    IN JAIL!!

  9. SENIOR CITIZEN
Listen to what the horse’s mouth is saying.

You keep following propaganda like your useless boss.
Know the TRUTH when it is written in front of you.

  10. #3 Senior Citizen. You are really an .a.s.s hole. Hichilema has attained better things in life than you as a young man. You are just being a yes bwana. Get a life. Whats wrong with him being Vice President? I dont think he is deseparate. He is one of few principled politicians we have. We are just groaming him for the Presidency.

  11. Seems Given lubinda and Charles Kakoma(PF/UPND Pact spokespersons) have been replaced by RB and GK,what a sad of events. These two gentlemen have worked hard for the Pact only to be replaced unceremonously!.

  12. Let HH remember a name called “Sakwiba Sikota”. He had also agreed to work with the King Cobra. Where did he end up – in Oblivion!! Thats SATA for you.

  13. Senior Citizen: A fool like yourself will get excited without knowing the facts and keep on dreaming with your boss RB.That is why we call you men with small brain who cannot reason why the PACT cannot give you the pact president.Word of advise please never never insult a croc before you cross the river otherwise it will kill you, personally I have highly placed source within the PACT you will keep on dreaming until the day when your RB announces the election day that is when you will know the PACT leader.

  14. The “pact” is the most fake thing Zambia has ever witnessed. Just like the Post, the “Pact” is desperately trying to convince Zambians that they (Zambians) are poor, disadvantaged, low, sick, wanting, impoverished etc. This is so bad that Zambians were so sad to see Esther Phiri win. Shame on the “Pact” and well done to RB and GRZ for exposing this negative hoax of a political alternative. God bless Zambia and our ANNOINTED leaders.

  15. Its interesting that HH has failed to respect and defend the sacrifice of late Nkumbula’s deal with Northerners that saw KK ruling for 27 years. Instead of claiming the deal when it is Southern province’s turn to be supported and rule in a reciprocal agreement, HH decides to betray it. Its not surprising that he is bundling himself in this marriage with the people of Southern province stuck with their UPND and in serious search for a leader to honor the spirit of Nkumbula,Mazoka, Hapunda, Shamabanse, Shamujaye, Mainza Chona, Daniel Lisulo, Mungoni Liso, General Haimbe, Simaponda and many more that sacrifice..

  16. Interesting. Is RB’s information correct? He’ll feel foolish if things turned out the other way. Reading between the lines, the idea is to incite people of Southern Province to turn against Hichilema and the UPND. If you read carefully, you will notice that RB talks of HH as veep and adds he has no right to impose a president on people of Southern Province. I know Southerners, they are not easily swayed as RB and his minions think. On the other hand, they feel attacking HH will slow down his momentum. They are wrong! HH is growing politically and this they know.

  17. HH said that when ever RB and George Kunda hears of the PF-UPND pact, they suffer from diarrhea. Does this prove to us that these guys are in critical condition of diarrhea? Instead of talking about development in France he is busy talking about the pact. We have been told by HH that these guys when ever they hear of the pact, they start scratching their bodies because the pact etches them.

  18. Iwe chi Senior Citizen jus shut-up !! i wonderif u,a normal, u,a such a useless boy! grow-up!! everyone knowz that yo useless mmd is luzing next year including venon mwanga hence him trying to form pact with UPND. to hell with yo rotten mmd n to hell with yo BWEZANI !!

  19. Allow me to join the chorus of Zambians congratulating Hakainde Hichilema for conceeding to Michael Sata for pact Vice Presidency position.I wish you God’s speed as you settle in to serve Sata without the solidarity of Mazoka’s party. No doubt Anderson Mazoka must be turning in his grave with shame and your betrayal of his noble vision, spirit, sacrifice, principles.I also congratulate the men and women of valour in UPND and indeed the Southern Province who are in total revulsion of this brazen opportunism without ideological, social and political value to their place in Zambia they also deserve its citizenry values.

  20. Good luck to HH who has just signed up for the PACT Vice Presidency to be used by same tyrranical Michael Sata. Sata has failed his own marriages, own Children like late Chilufya ho died on hisr own in the bedroom until maggots started coming out from his rotten body in the bedroom for weeks. Now this niece Hon Sinyangwe’s announced departure from Sata’s tyranical establisment is a manifest of what Satan is. Good luck to HH in his VP position under unpredictable charlatan.

  21. #20
    Show us the contract.

You and your boss are propagandists!

Call an early election if you want to know who will be the Pact CHOSEN leader.
Till you announce you will never know.

  22. UPND cadres wish this was just a dream and they would wakeup and find Ichilema is PACT leader. Sorry this is reality and the end of UPND just like National Party. FDD, Heritage, atleast UNIP was once in power though now finished.

Ichilema has dissappointed me and many others, he is a vissionless I.D.I.O.T.

  23. Mojo if you are Tonga you need to know that Southern Province alone can not make any Tonga you have mensioned President.

  24. In congratulating Ichilema for his new VP job to Sata i take time to look at Zambian polity. Seriously looking at failed politics of this so called PACT, I’m left admiring some active opposition parties which keep giving checks and balances to the ruling MMD. In democracy as ours opposition politics is an asset in strengthening democracy and development. But presently, Zambia’s major political opposition parties are legally entrenched and institutionalized in failed strategies, and are political contraptions masquerading as formidable political parties, which in reality, are no more than tribal social clubs formed to receive unearned and therefore underserved subventions or grants from foreign government and capitalist hedgers.

  25. This is in concession of our heritage such as land, minerals and water. To this there is no value system attached n their decision making but self centeredness. This said, it is needless to even state that these subventions or grants invariably end up in private pockets in the name of opposition political parties whose only successes and strategies is to rehearse and spew insults.

  26. KING COBRA (SATAN) are u normal? u,a very useless!! to hell with yo foolishness!!

  27. These dubious political formations called pacts, like bears, hibernate on real national issue politics but only showing up waffling insults. They make plenty of political noise on none issues while it lasts, and quickly disappear again into wintry hibernation for the rest of the political season on common national issues Zambians wants to hear about. They’re none issue preys only majoring in insulting seating heads of States untill they are done with their tenure. Here is Ichilema worshiping Mwanawasa posthumously when he abused him and called him a brain dead soul he wished dead.

  28. It appears HH is the real threat for MMD and their old man RB. They are saying now HH is sjubject to Sata. Now they are propping up and bolstering Sata and they know that a bolstered Sata is lethal for them. Confusion has rocked MMD, nightmare after nightmare! They are even failing to plan the country’s development properly.

  29. With an open Zambian companies act, registration of political parties, much like registration of companies and business names, has been turned into veritable instruments of fraud and conduit pipes for siphoning foreign mercenaries and g.a.y societal funds into private pockets of unelected tyrannies. Our nation’s opposition privilege in democracy has been systematically raped and plundered by all manners of opportunistic social clubs donning the tags of major opposition political parties’ PACT. They have with no national interest plans, no programs, no value added, but total liabilities on the nation. The sad aspect of it all is that these fraudulent organizations are operating under the cover of the law with impunity!

  30. i think senior citizen amadwala mumala maningi. the guy is a total stinking a .s.s. i dont like hurting people but i just call a spade a spade.

  31. when this headboy is in eastern province and distributin sugar and talkin like he owns eastern province who questions him? lets b logical…HH has every ryt to blag coz its a fact even today if we hold elections in southern province the mmd will lose there…wats the point pipo.

  32. Zambia’s future under ruling MMD as a national party is very bright for all. Its good that Ichilema’s personal marriage to Sata is not UPND but authentically his very own promiscuity. It has instead released the people of Southern province long tired under bondage of a futureless pharaoh masquarading as opposition leader. The hardworking people of Southern province deserve to be part of the Zambian national value through inclusion than waiting for the unknown but doom of Ichilema in politics. Seemingly, MMD is the only big tent with a tradition of inclusion and binding commitment.

  33. So Whats with RB? Are you worried? Are u now the spokesmbuya for the pact. you have a bigger hurdle to jump in MMD, stick to MMD issues, convince me that you are a better candidate for 2011. I’m ready to Vote. :d

  34. #13
    I agree with you.
Sata is not consitent in whatever he says and does,l can decribe him a chameloan,he can change at anytime,What type of a person who does not appreciate, after been evacuted to S/Africa for medical attention and turns round that it was political gimmic.l have no grain of TRUST in this man(SATA).
(1)In 2008,he wanted to gain political mileage,if voted as president i will drop Chiluba’s case.
    (2) We to the late Mwanawasa to reconcile,to gain political mileage.
    (3) This time around,he wants to use the young HH to gain entry to STATE HOUSE in 2011 after that and dump him(HH),that did i invite you to join me as PF/UPND PACT.Lesson learnt after he parted company with Sakiba Sikota, what was he saying.

  35. Hi guys.

    1. I don’t know the strategic value of RB announcing that HH will serve as the Pact VP. Being VP, assuming it is true, is not bad thing in itself. What is required are sfae guards in the power sharing arrangements that would ensure that no party renegades on its pledges.

    2. I hazard to guess that RB’s announcement is part of MMD’s latest high pressure campaign, engineered by VJ ‘prince of darkness’ Mwaanga, to disorient UPND.

    3. My understanding is that in the next days, there is likely to be some big guns within MMD, notably MPs, that will voice out their support for the MMD/UPND pact. Some here will recall of the ‘brown envelope’ list that was discovered at Mulungushi during one of the NCC meetings with the list of UPND MPs (in NCC) who were on the payroll of…

  36. #13, i thot Saki was told to deliver southern and western while sata worked on cb, luapula lusaka and northern. what did we see in southern and western apart from saki being the lone MP on ULP?
    Get facts boy!

  37. When did RB become PACT secretary? it so funy really on the part MMD – desparation. We know that the two cant be president but only one will stand. If HH is vice ….why is it a boather to u MMD thugs? SHAME ON YOU ALL.

  38. My fellow bloggers NEVER should you read anything from SENIOR CITIZEN, he/she is useless, mmd thievies, rotten ,stinking mouth, who knows he might be GK or mulongoti or dora, president’s wife., you just continue taking tablets.Zambians have decided 2011, its PACT.ASK KK will tell you the power of when they change minds. Thats why we have merged to prevent you from rigging and try you will SEE.

  39. There are 3 things to note:
    1. The people of Southern Province who are supporters of UPND need ample time to assess the person who will lead the PACT and if it is Mr. Sata they should know so that they can make up their minds. It is only fair. This plan to suprise them at the last minute is dishonest and unethical.
    2. Mr. Sata and Mr. Hichilema are always talking and attacking RB and MMD, don’t you think RB and George Kunda have a right to respond.
    3. Please keep in mind that Zambia is projected to grow by over 7% in 2010. This is one of the highest growth rates in Africa. Zambia has also had the biggest bumper harvest ever, this year.

  40. Iwe chinga HH, wabanzi yebo, VP to Satan is this a joke. No wonder they call you a chicken, full of feathers. How do you accept VP, to Satan? What guarantee do you have Satan will adhere to that agreement. Once he becomes president its over for you musa. Tonga bulls arise and throw out this business man, this is but a business deal for this chap. So you have been lying to us all along saying you will lead, and elected at electoral college, what college you have already signed an agreement, am very angry with this information, am coming home this weekend you will see, you will never step foot in Gwembe, how can you sell us out like this when you know we have been crying to lead Zambia. We also want to produce a president, and why shouldn’t we, for 45 years we have supported everyone…

  41. Again, the reality on the ground is that the PACT has NOT yet chosen the lead candidate. In the next few months, there will be joint team of PF/UPND that will assess the most agreeable candidate WITHIN their parties.

  42. RECYCLED POLITICIAN says:

    3. Please keep in mind that Zambia is projected to grow by over 7% in 2010. This is one of the highest growth rates in Africa. Zambia has also had the biggest bumper harvest ever, this year.

Good point, but i wish you could give meaning to these figures and how they relate to Zambians. Projected (not real) GDP, why NOT GNP? Bumper harvest(s)? How much of that translates into money in the pockets for the Zambians? These figures….always tricky they are!

  43. I agree with Mwnda Njangula, yes MMD fears HH now they are using propaganda to see how HH will react. It will not help RB and his MMD. Again we repeat the pact has not chosen the leader, only small brains are speculating about the issue.

  44. The whole fuss here is not HH deputizing Sata. The whole issue is HH being deputy to a man who is grossly unreliable and can never be trusted. Of course one had to concede and become deputy, that’s recommendable and shows selflessness. It’s hard to trust some people by virtue of historical background..just notice those answering criminal and corruption charges and check their names…chungu, kalumba, chiluba, kabwe etc. check the names of armed robbers at central police, you will be shocked… Sata is unreliable as informed by history and because his is SATA…….

  45. Well done HH you have done the thing. this is the only way you can be in power and remove that mmd riggers. MMD shoud concentrate on their party and see which way the are going and the PACT will be the next govenment come 2011. HH with your excellent leadership skills you will move the country forward and please do not forget developments in southern province and western province

  46. You will stop talk the ways you stoped sacking from your mother’s breasts. People of southern province have got trust in HH and nothing can change their minds, this man is a trained negotiator hence he knows the best deals. HH is never in a hurry to do things like some of you bloggers who can just wake up today in another party without any principles. MMD will never change the pact no matter how they talk in terms of convincing the southern chiefs. Southern chiefs are people who cannot be assembled anyhow for a benefit of ZK1000000. 00 just to endorse Banda because they can afford their own bread and batter. Mwanga was sent by Banda to talk to chiefs in the province but was rejected. MMD is becoming so desperate that they cannot believe how they are sinking like a ship.

  47. As I said people who think like a chicken ( Veteran, mmd boot licker and senior citizen) will take RB statement , but those who are clever will waite untill next year when the candidate is announced for the PACT .For example we have not seen SATA’s degrees , if there are there, can they be recognised by ECZ? check around here in Zambia there are people with these new Zambian university but they cannot get a job because their degrees are not recognised.

  48. MMD knows that they have no popularity in the southern part of the country and are ready to use whatever means to gain it even to the extent of telling lies. Yes we know that southern has the third largest number of voters from Lusaka and the Copperbelt and the way things stand, the pact is heading for victory. MMD cheated people in 2008 when they promised that they just needed Banda to complete the 3years and that 2011 they would bring Magande(Mwanawasa’s favourite). As such people voted for them in large numbers even parts of southern like Livingstone that was the main campaign message for Banda’s winning. Now MMD has run out of lies, not even Munkombwe the manipulator can cheat southerners again. HH can be vise president and it should not be the issue of MMD.

  49. I agree with 52 above. It is shameful for the whole president RB to talk about HH and Sata, when he has spokes people to speak on his behalf. this shows he is desperate to stay in power. Yester VJ wanted HH to join a pact with mmd today RB is saying HH has agree to be veep to Sata. Southern province chiefs the eleven VJ met not all of them back RB he just want to fool RB to show he is doing something. HH is the man and the pact in southern province mmd is dead what this space and see what develops. Start packing you bags from statehouse you time is up mmd and RB

  50. RB OSAKAMBILAKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NAGA CASE YAKO NICHAAAA?????????????? LELOLELO! LELOLELO!………………………..

  51. It is surprising to note that the President of the country has turned himself into a spokesman for the pact. He should be more involved in organizing his party than spreading rumours. The MMD is worried about the pact. They know they can not win an election and so they are trying to disorganize the UNPD. Zambians are not that stupid. They want change and that change is coming in 2011! We just hope that all the loopholes of rigging the election are sealed.

  52. Apa whether HH is vice president or not we dont care all we want is to remove MMD from power ifyashala fikaisova kuntanshi. MMD has to go at all cost.

  53. Guys, MMD at this stage is like a cluster bomb which has exploded and can never be pieced together save to get; it is disintegrated beyond measure under RB. It appears it will not be redeemed what with RB’s stubborn and dictatorial focus on being adopt for 2011 election. Now Mpombo seems to be making sense. Imagine, it is fact that MMD has suffered major defeats since Chiluba left in 2001. Most seats have been grabbed by the opposition including independents. The scenario is even scary under RB. Why the fuss on extinguishing HH. The Pact Formula is great. MMD is banking on breaking Southern Province, they’ll fail. NOw is time for HH to spill the beans; Munkombwe told him something, including George Kunda. Kunda even told him not to worry because it was mere politiking. Shame MMD

  54. So it will be King Cobra and Prince Cobra as his deputy. Interesting combination. Two very diffe rent charecters. Well what do they say variety is the spice of life

  55. For all those who think a Government of Sata and HH will be so hot for Zambia, well I wish you luck my brothers

  56. Katele’s issues are being dealt with within our own MMD ranks! This is a PF-UPDN issue period! We as MMD are behind our beloved servant in the name of Dr. Kalumba. This is an internal issue and should not be taken as ridicule for all malicious and short sighted outsiders who are just on here for the primary reason of just blogging. Dr. Katele my brother be assuredly encouraged that the whole nation is behind you!

  57. Anyone who thinks there will be a Pact led by HH is a serious joker. Sata has stated in no uncertain terms that he wil continue contesting the presidency until he is elected. One of the ways he has found to ascend to State House is to enlist the support of HH who commands a huge following in Southern Province. Sata’s marriage to HH is not ideological but is bourne in the hope that it will deliver him enough votes from the south to enable him become president. To PF, UPND IS NOTHING BUT A STEPPING STONE. Wake up fellas!!!

  58. Bieng retrogressive, RB would rather stand with his former bed fellow in UNIP-sata, with whom they share a lot in common. He detests standing against the fresh blood, progessive HH

  59. Mr so called Rupiya Banda,
dont look for the past things and dont look on your friends, but just concentrate on your own bussiness. The past is past! if you know that political life is difficult, just stop it and give chance to the people who can make easy! stop and go back to the other things ukucila muleipaya abantu kunsala mucalo!

  60. You guys who think you can rule Zambia by sidlining the Bembas are a jocke. Read the History of Zambia and understand who a Bemba is. here wahts important is bringing all the people of zambia together so they rule Zambia together. Let us not have tribal priorities but be neutral so that we have all zambians represented in cabinet and paliament. This is what we should be talking about. may God bless you all.

  61. This is excellent news. HH has time on his side, and the PF platform is a relatively clean break from the previous 17 years of market fundamentalism. I think with time, the UPND platform can move more to the center or center/left, which is needed to start developing Zambia from the perspective of the people, not foreign business.

  62. mr k don’t shine on this left and center left bull this kind of talk is for western countries here in zambia the elite rule from where ever they wish common people have this illusion of exercising their power on election day.

  63. bemba’s are criminals, the british made a mistake they should have repatriated them to congo where they belong, in a dysfunctional state, before they gave us the headache of independence

  64. # 70 morgage phiri,

You are too straight for MrK’s take. I doubt if his Marxist utopia would appreciate your counsel. Little does he know that this blogging we vainly do here and freedom to rant the opposing politicians preoccupy themselves with is over a facade of democracy. Do you really think the likes of MMD Chief Bootlicker, Veteran, Mr. Capitalist, Senior Citizen, Patriot, Saint and Patriot likely educated and exposed in the western systems are gallantly or audacious for nothing? Watch their cryptographies. They deliberately choose to be cryptic to accommodate this democratic facade when deep down everything is predetermined MMD beyond 2011. Do you really think MMD would be trounced on the ballot by these schemes of insults and none issue Pact politics? I bet my last franc.

  65. IS Rupia president or maybe his the spokesperson for the pact.If his the spokesperson then we have made a mistake for he isnt to eloquent

  66. #63 imbwa iwe.THERE HAS NEVA BEEN An MMD/UPND And there will never be.Usakabweleko ku zed coz with such verbal stool,u wont lust a day pa zed execpt chipata

  67. Professor Wamba Diawamba says.

NOTICE THE SIMILARITIES IN TEXT OF THIS PERSON TO SENIOR CITIZEN/VETERAN.

You may VAINLY see the differences.
    hahaha

  68. #70
Why try to use a French expression when you live in America and claim to be a Zambian.

You whinge when others use alias’s.
    You TOOL.

  69. I see people on this blog are changing. This blog has always had good views of issues on our country. But today I’m a bit surprised where those minds have gone. You continue to comment on propaganda and moles like #76. How can you trust anything from a desperate, vision-less, unipist president. MMD are in power by proxy, because we all know that its UNIP running this country.Thats the reason RB is out of depth, but I blame MMD for all this. And the PACT is intact #76, continue enjoying the money you are paid to confuse some on this blog, because the contract will be useless by next year when MMD discover they are on their way out of power, then they will split and buried.

  70. It Becomes Worrisome When a Head Of State is Living on Propaganda !
This Man Will Scamper From His Own Shadow,How can you listen to your Special Trush over something the PACT Has not Decided.1990 Will be Equal to 2011 !

  71. Thank you #78, My point exactly, why people are throwing toys on this blog, I can’t get it, here is a desperate leader delivering propaganda, he does not even employ one good propaganda agent to do the job for him.

  72. I love the smell of desperation in the morning. It smells like… victory. 🙂

70 & 72, you cannot casually dismiss the people’s right to universal healthcare and education, or the need to tax the mines to the hilt as ‘a marxist utopia’ (first of all there is nothing ‘marxist’ about what I write, secondly, Karl Marx is most closely associated with Communist Socialism, not Utopian Socialism).

The MMD ran out of ideas 19 years ago, when they started to adopt whatever the IMF told them to. Privatisation – fine. Deregulation – ok. Turning Zambia into a sweatshop economy to be enjoyed by transnational corporations – well the World Bank will know what it’s doing. No vision.

  73. PACT is a hoax period. There is no way Sata’s Bemba/Bisa can vote for a ka tribal HH nor will the Tonga people vote for abusive Bembas/ Northerners. A Easterner is more nuetral and acceptable by all Zambians just like Mwanawasa was. Period

  74. Tax the mines $1.2 billion a year, give the people universal healthcare, universal education, invest in infrastructure, decentralize government by paying 50% of the national budget directly to local councils and give them responsibility for education, healthcare, policing, utilities and administration.

That would completely turn most people’s lives around. People would no longer need to pay local taxes and levies. Tens of thousands of street kids would be in school. Roads would be perfect and without potholes. People live longer and healthier lives. No more flooding.

The cost: less exploration for the mines.

Now if I was a marxist, I would say – nationalize everything today.

However, I say nationalize *only when miners pull out* and hand them over to a management company.
