Chinese President to visit Zambia

Chinese PresidentCHINESE President, Hu Jintao is expected in Zambia next month on a state visit. Chief Government spokesperson, Vernon Mwaanga, announced in a statement yesterday that the Chinese leader would arrive on February 3, accompanied by his wife, Liu Yongqing.During his visit to Zambia, the Chinese leader would hold official talks with President Mwanawasa at State House where a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on various areas of cooperation between the two countries will be held.

He would also visit the Victoria Falls in Livingstone and some Chinese-run mines in Chambishi.

President Hu Jintao, an engineer by profession, rose through the ranks having worked in the ministry of water resource and electric power.

He later worked as an assistant deputy director and vice-chairperson of the Gausi Provincial Construction Commission and secretary of the Gausi provincial committee of the Communist Youth League of china.

He became member of the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist League of China, chairperson of the All China Youth Federation and First Secretary in the secretariat of the Communist Youth League.

From 1992 to 2002, Mr Hu was a member of the Standing Committee of the political bureau of the Communist Party of (CPC) central committee and later member of its secretariat.

He then became Vice-President of the People’s Republic of China before becoming President of the central committee.

He was appointed general secretary of the CPC central committee in November 2002 before he became President of China.

Well there goes another show, first it was the West to dig our resources to develop their continent and now it’s china to steal our resources to move their population into new homes and buld them new road s and all. When every one else has plundered our resources what shall our grand children have..and what shall we have to show them that this was the right thing to do? 4X4 GXes driven by our ministers and their relatives? God have mercy on mother Zambia. She has suffered enough.
