FRANCE

Striker Jacob Mulenga played his second successive full 90 minutes in Ligue 1 for his club Strasbourg who held 2nd placed and visiting Nancy to a scoreless draw on Saturday.

Mulenga had one shot on target saved by Nancy keeper Gennaro Bracigliano in the 11th minute and another flash just wide with a 45th minute header from free-kick.

Strasbourg is 10th on the French Ligue 1 table following Saturdays draw.

GERMANY

Paderborn: Midfielder Andrew Sinkala played the opening 62 minutes for bottom placed Paderborn in their 1-1 draw against 2.Bundesliga leaders Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Kickers Offenbach: Defender Moses Sichone did not play on Friday night for his 14th placed 2.Bundesliga club in their 3-3 home draw against VFL Osnabruck who lie just above them in 13th spot.

Meanwhile, the Germany football season takes a one and a half month winter break starting December 16 until February 2.

SOUTH AFRICA

Moroka Swallows: Striker James Chamanga continued to make his case for a late Zambia national team call-up when he scored his 10th goal of the season and 8th in three successive matches on Sunday.

Chamanga scored for 4th from top Swallows’ 2nd goal in their 3-2 home win over 11th placed Amazulu.

He played the full 90 minutes while compatriot Songwe Chalwe did not play in that game.

Free State Stars: Goalkeeper Kenney Mweene played the full 90 minutes on Saturday for 2nd from top Free State Stars in their 1-1 away draw to 6th positioned Orlando Pirates.

Defender Chintu Kampamba did not play due to injury.

Jomo Cosmos: Striker Davies Mwape came on in the 44th minutes for struggling Jomo Cosmos on Saturday in the clubs scoreless draw away to 13th placed Black Leopards.

Cosmos are second from bottom in 15th place.

Wits: Striker Noah Chivuta started but was not on target for 3rd from top Wits in the 1-0 home win over 14th placed Thanda Royal Zulu before being substituted in the 90th minute.

TURKEY

Striker Collins Mbesuma did not play for 14th placed Bursaspor on Sunday in the clubs 4-1 away defeat at 4th from top Kayserispor.

  1. Remember Chamanga of last’s years CAN 2006,he was superb probably the best striker in our team.So far in RSA he is scored 10 goals and he has been left out in preference to Felix,Adubelo & Bakala.WHY???????
    Gents,Mbesuma he just recoverd and he has only played 12 minutes as a substitute.I do not think he will be ready enough to face the likes of Song.We also need natural wingers like Chivuta.What football is in Angola to talk of that would have so much influence on the selection of our players?
