MMD youths on C/belt call for unity

Newly appointed MMD Copperbelt Province Youth Chairman, Richard Mofya, wants unity to prevail among youths in the party in order for them to significantly contribute to national development.

Mr Mofya told ZANIS in a press statement in Ndola that youths should be focused at enhancing unity in order to help sustain the popularity of the party in the province.

He said the MMD has a principle of extendind its olive branc to all Zambians adding the party is founded on democratic principle thast enables it to promote qualitative leadership for national development.

Mr. Mofya said the newly appointed yout leadership in Ndola is determined to work with all the party structures from the branch to the provincial levels in an effort to improve performance ahead of the 2011 polls.

He calle on party leaders to emulate President Mwanawasa’s culture of hard work in order to make a positive impact on development efforts.

He advised the youth to bear in mind that the culture of handouts was long gone and people should follow realistic principles of living which President Mwanawasa was championing.
