ZANU-PF Blames Mwanawasa for Election Loss

Share

Zimbabwe’s ruling Zanu PF has accused Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa of siding with the opposition in its bid to oust President Robert Mugabe, in yet another sign of worsening relations between the two countries. Relations between the two countries have been deteriorating since Zimbabwe accused Zambia of trying to block its maize imports in the run-up to the March elections

The ruling party, which is gearing up for a bruising presidential election run-off between Mr Mugabe and opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, said it was disappointed with Mr Mwanawasa because he had failed to call for the lifting of sanctions imposed by Western countries.

It said that, as the chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Mr Mwanawasa had been tasked to ask the United States and Britain to scrap the “illegal” sanctions.

Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Patrick Chinamasa, who chairs Zanu PF’s media sub-committee, said the sanctions had contributed to Mr Mugabe’s embarrassing defeat in the first round of the elections.

“SADC undertook to call for the lifting of the illegal sanctions but Mr Mwanawasa, as the chairperson, has not done so yet,” he said.

“It is his obligation to implement the resolution issued at the extraordinary summit held in Tanzania last year to remove immediately all forms of the illegal sanctions against Zimbabwe.

“We have not heard him calling for the lifting of the sanctions … we have been adversely affected by the sanctions, as they are creating an uneven playing field.”

And the Zambian Government responded by saying the Zimbabwean government is not being fair to President Mwanawasa as chairman of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) by heaping abuse on him and then asking him to assist the country.

Chief Government spokesperson, Mike Mulongoti said that Zimbabwe should quickly resolve its problems by holding free and fair elections before talking about the sanctions that have been imposed on that country.

He said it was surprising that the Zimbabwean government had allowed its newspaper, The Herald to heap abuses on President Mwanawasa and at the same time ask him to assist the country.

“The Zimbabweans need to exercise humility and show decency because they cannot insult President Mwanawasa and at the same time ask him to help them because as SADC chair he has done what he can,” he said.

He said Zimbabweans should hold the elections and whoever would emerge winner would then talk much about sanctions because to talk about sanctions now may be premature. He said the issue of sanctions was for Zimbabweans which they understood better.
He said President Mwanawasa from the on-set had done everything possible to help resolve the problems in Zimbabwe and the entire world was watching the situation.

“It is surprising that Mr Chinamasa, the man who lost an election is very vocal and bitter,” he said.

  1. I think Mugabe is on to something here. I think LPM gave him rigging tactics which did not work now he is blaming him. It is either that or Mugabe is losing his brains.

  2. It’s true the playing field is not level. It is skewed towards the opposition and Zimbabweans are blinded by hunger and this Mulongoti held onto Zimbabwe’s maize when it was fully paid for. Zambia and it’s president are just being used by the west to oust Mugabe and they have fallen for this trap. Shame really.

  3. Frankly speaking LPM should show allegence to MDC.That is the party that will form Govt. ZANU PF is exiting the arena and we should not care much about what they say. Look at ANC is South Africa they really dont pay much attention to ZANU PF because ANC has new leadership and are aware that Mugabe is on his way out.MMD needs to do the same.We dont need Mugabe if anything we should even close the border untill that time when new govt is formed

  4. The right course of action is to boot out Mugabe. This unappreciative ZANU PF should be out of office. If this suggested action coincides with the wishes of the West as well, so be it. We as SADC members all know that it is time for Mugabe to go and we should not be shy about expressing these sentiments just because Bush has the same feeling. We should even be stronger in our expressions. Way to go Levy, am totally behind you on this one, in fact you shouldnt have even backtracked on the sinking titanic statement.

  5. WHAT THIS CHINAMASA FELLOW IS TRYING TO DO IS WHAT IS CALLED LAST KICKS OF A DYING HORSE,ZIMBABWE HAS FOUND ITSELF IN SUCH FILTHY BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS OF ITS OWN MAKING……WHY SHOULD THEY COME NOW & SEEK HELP FROM ZAMBIA,IT WASN’T ZAMBIA THAT ADVISED MUGABE TO FORCEFULLY GRAB LAND FROM INOCENT PEOPLE!!!IT WAS NOT ZAMBIA THAT ADVISED MUGABE TO SEND TROOPS TO DRC OF WHICH HE KNEW WAS NOT SUSTAINABLE….WHY ISN’T CHINAMASE REFLECTING ON THESE BLUNDERS THAT THEY THEMSELVES CREATED..SHAME ON HIM!!!!

  6. Sanctions hurt the people of Zimbabwe more than anyone else but sanctioning states that refuse to abide by Customary International Law and Charters like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and our own African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights is established practice. What is illegal is the violation of non-derogable rights such freedom of thought, conscience and religion by the ZANU-PF regime when it beats and tortures opposition supporters. Anonymous, Mugabe’s West Neo-Colonial Conspiracy Theory cannot hold water when he himself punishes his own people. Zanu-PF stopped being patriotic when the interests of the party were prioritized over the interests of the people.cont.

  7. It is sad to see our government being victimised in the Zim crisis when all they’re trying to do is find a peaceful solution. According to my lay observation, ZANU PF and Mugabe are just busy calling shots to prolong their stay in power! They don’t seem to care who is hit by these shots, even if it’s their peace-loving Zambian neighbours.

  8. This is purely signs of desperation by a desperate man. Why did he stay away from the summit in Lusaka where he could have raised these issues? Mugabe has been exposed and from his behavior it just goes to show that the interests of Zimbabwean people are not on this priority list.

  9. cont. I am sure I am not alone when I say I am proud of my President for speaking out against Mugabe and retaining dignity something which other SADC leaders need to do especially Mbeki. They can blame Mwanawasa all they want-they lost the people’s confidence long ago with their failed economic policies, poor diplomatic skills and general disregard for democracy. I agree with Kenzee at #5 ZANU-PF brought it on themselves.

  10. Anonymous #2 you sound Zimbabwean. If you were Zambian you should have shown a bit of patriotism,Mugabe is damaging the SADC reoutation and you expect us to go down with him. Hell no.Mugabe is spent force we should infact assist Zimbos to get rid of him just like Nyerere did with IDI amin.

  11. ANONYMOUS,LETS BE REAL HERE.HOW IS OUR PRESIDENT BEING USED BY THE WEST WHEN WE CAN SEE THE SUFFERING OF ZIMBABWEANS?WELL MAY BE THESE WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE DOING THIS IN BAD FAITH BUT ZAMBIA IS DEFINITELY DOING IT IN GOOD FAITH……WHY SHOULD MUGABE HOLD ON TO POWER EVEN AFTER THE PEOPLE HAVE REJECTED HIM?BRO.IF THERE IS ANYONE USING THE OTHER HERE ITS ZIMBABWE,WE ARE BING MADE TO SHARE OUR LIMITED RESOURCES WITH ZIMBABWEAN IMMIGRANTS.I HOPE U ARE NOT ZAMBIAN…

  12. PATRICK CHINAMASA lost his seat in the parliamentary election so how can he be speaking on behalf of the Zimbabwean people who rejected him at the just ended parliamentary polls? Western Conspiracy my foot! ZANU-PF has lost touch with reality and must hand over power peacefully. They are merely delaying the inevitable. Do they expect everyone to turn a blind eye to human rights abuses and torture currently taking place in Zimbabwe?

  13. Western conspiracy, huh? ZM$250,000,000 note, Mwanawasa’s fault?165,000% inflation in february (since it grows exponentially, it should be over 200,000% by now), Mwanawasa’s fault? Economic recession for the last 8 years, even before Mwanawasa was President, Mwanawasa’s fault? Once-noble Zimbabwean women parading themselves at Masaka in Livingstone, Mwanawasa’s fault? No offence but the Zimbos were even daft enough to give that dude 43% of the vote, word. The ship has finally sunk, and guess what? It’s all Mwanawasa’s fault! L.O.L.

  14. We learnt our lesson in 1980 not to side with a losing party. We supported Nkhomo and our relation with Zim was luke warm instead of excellent looking at what Zambia sacrificed during the liberation. This time around, we are with the winning team, Morgan T. This time around, we are also with the people of Zim. The west have won, this land thing wont feed the hungry Zims, its back to reality, the west calls the piper, Zims dance again! Come Morgan, cash will be pumped, infestors will come, Zims get employment and there will be tea and bread shamwali! Ala Mugabe and his Chinamasa, kuya bebele! Lutaninge waka a kambwe imwe! Mulije na soni, shaaa!

  15. “After Mbeki delivered his report to the summit, Mwanawasa, as the chair of the meeting, said there was an urgent need to discuss Zimbabwe because the situation there had become ‘unacceptable’.When Mugabe was given the platform to speak he launched an angry tirade, attacking Mwanawasa left, right and centre before walking out in protest.”The diplomat said Mugabe angrily asked: “Who are you, Mwanawasa? Who are you? Who do you think you are?”Mugabe also said he was aware of Mwanawasa’s recent meetings with western intelligence agencies on Zimbabwe. He said he would ‘not allow Mwanawasa to sell out Zimbabwe as he has done to Zambia’,” the diplomat said.During the process Mwana-wasa was shaken a

  16. Zanu-PF has only itself to blame for the mess in Zimbabwe. LPM has set a very good precedent for other African leaders when dealing with tyranical regimes like the one in Zimbabwe.

  17. The world no longer has comrades anymore even in the formwer Soviet Union where they liked that word .Comrade Mugade was beaten hands down by the opposition the same way Kaunda or Kamuzu B were beaten atleast they Kaunda went quiently.coming to the maize deal, all that chap is trying to say is that it was meant to bribe the people but as SADC our stance is elections are supposed to be free and fair.I give Mugabe credit for what he did as a freedom fighter and finally for having realesed the results and accepting that he lost the elections HOwever blaming another country for an election defeat leaves much to be desired

  18. #2 It’s shame on you, if you are zedian. Levy is only concern of the suffering of Zim pipo bcoz it is actually overspinning to zed and the zedians are suffering too in terms of sex workers coming to spreading HIV AIDS to our zedian men and buying our food in abundant and leaving our citizen with shortages more especial in our tourist capital Livingstone.

  19. Guys lets focus on the development of Zed. Ama Zezulu tabatasha,(the Zimbos dont appreciate) the more you help them the more they criticise you LPM concetrate on Zed developmental plans. Let them continue to look to SA for help, if they will get any.

  20. let the zimbos sort out their problems. they created the problems so let them solve them without throwing dirty on others.

  21. #18 Mwanakashi There is no problem in Zimbabweans buying the so called food in abudancy,i choose to disagree with you on this one.If there is a shortage of food in Zambia then its our government to blame and the business community for failure to take advantages of demand, you are now sounding like Zim Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Patrick Chinamasa .I lived in Livingstone in the 90ties when we had food shortages in Zambia and I can tell you as a family we used to cross into Zimbabwe to go buy households goods in bulk.Zimbabwe helped. It was a practise for most zambian families 2 do that.we had enough cross boarders traders and this created employment to hard woking zeds

  22. I’m 100% with u #20.These zezulus do not appreciate and what ever makes them think so special I do not know.I’m sitted next to one at the moment and he tells LPM let them down.As long as they do not see the problem “MUGABE” they will not solve their problems. They being beaten up here SA as I’m speakin. They become so arrogant that pipo here want them out.Instead of acceptin they have a problem , they point to UK, USA and now Zambia.

  23. *****s like Anonymous just shows us how shallow we Africans can get, Who wants to be a brother’s keeper, when the brother has imposed himself on you anyway. Shame on you, For us Zambians it’s almost deja’vu, but at least we handled our situation in the 90s civilly, and our first president lives out his retirement in honour and respect. Our so called brothers should take their hats off to us. Stop calling us names and sort your house out look at your people crossing borders just to survive, what a pathetic situation.

  24. It is shame that Zim seem to blame everyone including Zambia for its problems. Yesterday it was Tony Blair, Bush, World then Bank, IMF,Morgan, White farmers, ANC..SADC, Levy. Come-on Bob stop smoking the weed and accept that it is game-over for ZANU-PF. A thousand Zimbabean are now been beaten and two are killed in xenophobic attach i RSA. All beacuse they have no ‘fathers and mothers’ the Zim leaders to care for them. Inside Zim opposition supporters are killed and beaten.. Why.. beacuse ZANU-PF has failed the Zim people. Don’t shift the blame. Blame yourselves.

  25. That’s why the only beautiful women in Zimbabwe are tourists! It’s become a right circus down there.

  26. Mugabe has indirectly declared war on Zambia and Zambians. i advise all Zambians resident in ZIM and those traveling through Zimbabwe to revise their security Measures.

Mugabe’s days are numbered and He will face the Justice for the Gurukuzundi and these atrocities he is committing now.

LPM, this is the time for you now to show leadership. Condemn ZIM tortures and call for SADC peace monitors to be stationed in ZImbabwe.. Why cant the Zimbos scare Mugabe a little bit by staging a Mini Coup like that of Capt Solo, and Luchembe. This will shake him abit.

  27. They are just kicks of a dying horse!Chinamasa lost an election and isn’t even an MP right now!The sanctions were not brought about by LPM but Mugabe’s untimely policies!leave LPM to do his job and campaign for yourselves. All that Mugabe is scared of is the ICJ(International Court of Jsutice) coz he will have no immunity then!open up Zimbabweans!it’s sad to see how many of your women Zambian men slaughter each day ….just lastnite,5 of them were being slaughtered by three Zed guys!

  28. No. 12 has placed the best comment I ‘ve ever read on this site. Thank you for the well analysed comment

  29. mugabe is just blaming everyone so Zambians passing thru Zim watch out. Govt needs to send that warning because it wont be pretty in Zim. It is true these Zimbos dont appreciate we helped gain independence yet they scorned us when our economy was a mess.they treat us like gabbage when gointhru their borders.

  30. Chinamasa m’ther f’cker, stop insulting my Presdo, Levy Mwanawasa. President Mwanawasa is a nice man. Ask Mr. Michael Sata, he will tell you. Your President Robert ‘Devil’ Mugabe is finished goods.
Just stop accusing my president, and you Zimbabweans, just sort your own problems. We all know that Zanu-pf is going down. Its just a matter of time. These are just last kicks of a dying horse.

  31. A sensible government can not blame Zambia for what has happened. Ian was removed with our help. Can we continue
the government that does not want to support itself? We should not rule for ever. People with briliant ideas should be allowed to run the affairs of the nation.

  32. Chinamasa please stop blaming President Mwanawasa for the problems you have in Zimbabwe and learn to appreciate what Zambians have done to your country. Unless Chinamasa has forgotten how many Zambians died during their liberation struggle and what have they given us in return? Insults! Has Chinamasa forgotten that it was only last year that President Mwanawasa threaten that SADC leaders would boycot the Portugal talks if Mugabe was stopped from attending? What else do you want Levy to do? Please sort your problem by voting out Mugabe and all will be well with you instead of blaming our president who wants so mush that there should be peace in Zimbabwe.

  33. This is more of politics than a declaration of war. They are looking for a direct scapegoat since blaming the west never relates to the locals. Also, in being neutral and not being a cowards like Mbeki, we have aligned ourselves with democracy which in this case favours the opposition.

The best thing here is to keep this as civil as possible. No firing back with senseless comments from people like Tetamashimba whose comments always disgust me.

  34. As far as I am concerned, LPM is simply a robot of the west. He is speaking out against Mugs because his masters have told him to sing their tune or risk the busgetary support from them. Why are Zambians eager to be used as tools of imperialism?

Evry Zambian with a brain knows that LPM benefitted from rigging in 2001 and 2006. He has never won any election cleanly. He is as corrupt as the incompetence we see on the ground in all areas of national development. The man is simply an agent of enslavemnet and dispossession. His knowledge about Zim is blank. He does not know that Land was the main thing for the struggle.

  35. The zimbambweans are to blame themselves. Why are they just sitted waiting for other countries to solve their problems. Let them make a bit of noise and show that they are not happy with what is happening in their country.
It called for some form of demonstration for zedians to reject third term propelled by Chiluba and Sata. So the zimbos should do the same, no war is won by just sitting and pretend everything is ok. Let them sort out Mugabe themselves, we sorted out kaunda ourselves- althogh i regret having voted for chiluba, a thief.

  36. Very funny character, this Chimanasa guy. We now know that the sanctions have been targeted at these persons and not Zim as an economy. Their propanga machine wants everyone to believe its against the country. They’ve lost access to their foreign accounts and properties hidden in the West, and expected the SADC chairman to recover these for them. The people have rejected Chimanasa. He’s afraid there’s no where to run when the govt changes since he’s prefered hiding places…US, Canada, Aussie or EU…have sanctions against him.

  37. The only positive thing we are benefiting from the current Zambabwean crisis, are the commercial sex rates which have come down due to an influx of expatriate sexual workers from Zimbabwe. We now able to buy short time for K10,000-00 and whole night for K50, 000-00.

  38. ZNU-PF have no vision and no normal thinking person can support them. It’s a pity that Mugabe and his team cannot appreciate what Zambia and Mwanawasa are doing for innocent Zimbambweans.Mugabe is a selfish leader one could ever see in modern world. How can the western countries turn a blind eye on the torture and human right abuses being shown on TV channels?
Mugabe will lose once more and then the world will be happy seeing him and his royals suffer in prison.

We hope God shall guide the minds of the Zimbambweans during the second round in order for mugabe to face hell!!!!!!

  39. Surery you fool Chinamasa $10million for one egg is a clear sign even to an ***** like you that something is very wrong. your days are very numbered. When leaves are falling only a fool waits to be told winter is coming and you’re just proving that by your undiminished desire to support Mad MUGABE. We know the situation in Zimbabwe better than you. Quit and free. Leavy Mwanawasa alone you dog.

  40. Very funny characters, Chimanasa, #2 and #37. Blaming the West for the mediocrity and tyrany exhibited by Bob in handling Zim issues, including that of land redistribution, LOL. Read comment by #12 and #39. By the way it’s not just land but ‘developed land’. KK Zambianised companies, the proper way, exhibiting good leadership. He paid for the added value in the companies he nationalised, and had people with some skill of running them in place. Even if he’s land redistribution policy is a welcome one, Bob carried it in a manner that has sent the redistributed land back to the stone age. The West cannot be blamed for that. Such a person is too destructive to be a leader. He must go!

  41. Zimbabweans are being killed in Alexandria, South Africa by angry South Africans accusing them of messing up South. I do not hear Chinamasa complaining about that to Thabo. We, on the other hand have been more than accomodating to these people and this is the thanks we get. We do not need Zimbabwe, they need us more right now so they really need to act nice.

  42. HERE IS ANOTHER ONE,# 37 U ARE STRANGE INDEED!!!WHAT DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT THIS ALL???IT’S NOT ABOUT THE MANNER THAT MWANAWASA CAME INTO GOVT,ITS ABOUT SUFFERING ZIMBABWEANS YOU FOOL…WHICH PART OF ZAMBIA DO U LIVE ANYWAY??MAY BE YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AFFECTED BY THE INFLUX OF THESE ZIMBOS!!!WHY HAVE U CHOSEN TO BE NARROW MINDED & TRY TO PLEASE MUGABE WHO IS INFLICTING SO MORE PAIN ON HIS PEOPLE THAN MWANAWASA IS ON U?BE OBJECTIVE………..

  43. Am the one who posted post #2. But it seems everybody on this blog are just one track minded and can’t even do simple analysis of looking at two sides of a coin at all times. I wont even say much or defend my country which you people are frying here. Somebody even called Zimbabweans daft. How sad really. The world works in cycles. You never know when the tide will turn again. I rest my case by saying please snap out of this one track minded debate most of you are stuck in and look objectively and think for yourself independently. What makes you sure that your position & view is right one and THE only way?

  44. #37 I agree with your post. At least there is one sane one out there. These Zambian ought to ask the old man Kaunda than just blog away for fun here. These are serious issues we are dealing with and you want to reduce them to 1+1=2. Maybe most of you are just from the street and don’t know the issues and you just back what you read on the internet.

  45. IWE ZIM BOY,HOW HAVE U EVEN FOUND YOURSELF ON THIS BLOG??U ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HOME & FIGHT THE INJUSTICES OCCURING IN YOUR BELOVED ZIM……WE DID NOT NEED YOU WHEN WE WERE OUSTING KAUNDA,WE DID NOT NEED YOU WHEN WE SAID “NO” TO CHILUBA’S THIRD TERM BID,& WE DEFINITELY DO NOT NEED YOU NOW……FUSEKE KABIYE!!!!

  46. #50 How have I found myself here? This is the Internet, sorry there are no borders for you and your president to close or deport me. You are talking about my country and the world is flat on the internet and I have the right to take part. Thanks God there is nothing you can do about it, just reason with me..and use English please if you want to talk to me

  47. ZIM BOY THESE COMMENTS HAVE HAVE BEEN NECESSITATED BY U FAILING TO ACCEPT THAT U HAVE A PROBLEM IN UR COUNTRY & INSTEAD U HAVE DECIDED TO SHIFT THE BLAME ON OUR PRESIDENT….CAN U TELL ME HOW OUR PRESIDENT HAS FAILED YOU WHEN YOU YOURSELF DOESN’T WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE NAME OF MUGABE???

  48. Did you know that it is cheaper to use ZIM dollars in the toilet than using toilet paper? the cost of tissue runs into millions of Zim dollars and the number of sheets on the tissue are in hundreds. Therefore if you use ZIM dollar in the toilet you will actually come back wit some change.

  49. We know we have a problem in Zim better than you do. Facts are that sanctions have contributed to the problem. Plant a bullet in Mugabe’s head or back side and leave the sanctions in place, ZIM will still be suffering. Why most of you fail to see that it is immoral for powerful nations who have personal issues with a leader of a country, to use their economic muscle to strangle a nation is amazing. It’s the poor suffering and they don’t care. They just look at us as a potential or emerging whatever. They can do it on anyone, can’t you see a precedent being set here. That is the issue against the West. Look at Iraq, and smell the coffee, so many wrongs and nobody held responsible. Why????

  50. MUGABE AND HIS CRONIES SHOULD BE SERIOUS TO SORT OUR THEIR OWN CHAOS…WHY BLAME ON LEVY?

WHY SHOULD LEVY SADC SUPPORT MUGABE GOVT THAT IS TORTURING IT OWN PEOPLE, COME ONE ZIM…THE HOUR HAS COME FOR MUGABE TO STEP DOWN, HE IS BIG LIABILITY.

Mugabe uses the West as scapegoat to stay in power, why no earth do people still believe him, Its a lie, no British or America will come to zimbabwe…

The economy in Zim is hyperinflation, why should Robert stay in power, for what??

Levy, stand you ground and do not support a corrupt govt that is killing its own people…

  51. I agree with 50. Zimbabweans used to look down on Zambians and calling us names .Five years ago, they even used to laugh and look down at zambians crossing over to buy food staff which was not even for survival but for trade taking advantage of price diffrentials.

Now the tide has turned agaiinst them. The country is operating like a chicken whose head has been cut off!! Chinamasa, a man who lost terribly in the recent elections is talking like a man with a serious bout of malaria!! Its now dooms day for Zimbawe. Fear of the unknown seem to have gripped that nation.
We have good heart and feeling for Zimbabweans and Chinamasa should stop talking like a chainama escapee!! Chipuba!!!

  52. #53 Zim Boy, do you see why your people are being buthchered in your country? Innocent children being battered and women raped? Its because of people like you who cannot diferentiate right from wrong. You know what, one thing that differentiates us Zambian from Zims is thst we Zambians dont run away from the problem like Zims. We always take the bull by its horns. Just one person (MAD BOB) is terrorising you and you cant sort him out. Thats why we are saying Zims are DAFT. Big up to Tsvangirai, he is trying and he just needs the support of peace loving Zims.

  53. When you are too good and allow everybody to play or fondle around your shoulder, they look at it as a point of weakness . Next they will grab and pull your balls. Harsh statements from across the zambezi river must be answered harshly too. We don’t know what their motive is but we know they tried to secure ammo from china huge to fight another country. Lets wake up and be combat ready. Remember, even Jesus who had not insulted anybody on this earth had enemies, who later crucified him. Zim is one country that should praise, thank, applaud and respect Zambia for the good we have done for them including the liberation struggle. I. Smith should have written a book about Zambia before his death.

  54. what is happening in Alexander township in south africa is sad. our zim brothers are being attacked and yet Mugabe thinks it is all good. i wish chinamsa can say something about that.

  55. DO NOT BLAME LEVY FOR ZANU PF LOSS…IMAGINE HAVING A MINISTER WITH SO MANY TITLES…ALL TO MAKE ENDS MEET, EVEN LIFE IN ZIM IS HARD FOR MINISTER,LOOK AT HIS TITLE : Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr Patrick Chinamasa.

GIVE IT UP TO MORGAN, HE IS SAVIOR FOR THE MOMENT!!

  56. Zim Boy, I respect you for exposing yourself and siding with your own country, which is perfectly OK and natural. I assure you that peace with our neighbours is fundamental to Zambians, so don’t think we are here to bash your country for fun. This is an open discussion here and the feelings of the people are real, whether from the streets or not. No apology for speaking the truth…it’s only a matter of time before you see what we mean.

  57. #51 – Zim boy.. is this a Zim syndrome where you just complain without offering possible solutions to the your problems?? Mr Zim boy please educate the world how you intend to address Zim domestic problems. Also don’t expect Zambians to say amen to every insults coming from Chinama.

  58. #56 Zim boy, the problem we have with your Mugabe is he’s torchered his own people to the point that the West have the leverage to muscle Zim. Sadam went down becoz he was also mean to his own people. Look at Libya. Gadafi still remains a popular leader despite the West trying to oust him coz he never torchers his own people. Take a view against Bob and you roast. You expect torchered people to support your ‘pseudal’ fight against the West. It’s amazing to meet people like you when your neighbours are chocked with native Zim asylum seekers. What’re they running from, I wonder? What’ve you run away from youself? Most people on this blog support land redistribution in Zim but not by a nut!

  59. IF U REALISE U HAVE A PROBLEM WHY NOT CONFRONT IT OR BETTER STILL WHY NOT CONFRONT THE WESTERN COUNTRIES THAN BLAME MWANAWASA?AS FOR IRAQ I AGREE THE PAIN THEY ARE UNDERGOING HAS BEEN CAUSED BY AMERICA & THATS WHY THEY HAVE SEEN IT FIT TO FIGHT AMERICA…..FOR YOU,YOUR FELLOW COUNTRYMAN HAS INFLICTED THE PAIN & YOU CAN’T FIGHT HIM….QUITE OK THESE SANCTIONS HAVE BEEN IMPOSED ON ZIMBABWE,BUT WHO CALLED FOR THESE SANCTIONS??ITS MUGABE BECAUSE HE KNEW THEY WON’T HARM HIM…YOU ARE TAKING THE HEAT BECAUSE OF ONE SELFISH INDIVIDUAL….WAKE UP ZIM BOY!!!

  60. #56 ZimBoy
I think i speak on behalf of myself and many critical thinking Zambians when i say YOU ARE AN *****.

I personally am not against land reforms but the question is WHY DIDN’T UNCLE BOB GIVE THE LAND TO PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY FARM. Mind you even Aparthied South Africa faced sanctions but they never had these figures, 165,000% inflation, 80% unemployment, food shortages, etc. What you dont seem to understand is Mugabe has abused his power and is using the west as a cover up to hide the filth that he has been sweeping under his carpet.

  61. ROBERT GABRIEL MUGABE’S transformation from a teacher at Chalimbana College in Lusaka to
the democratic leader of Zimbabwe and then to one of Africa’s most controversial tyrants
is sad indeed. A leader is like a pair of slippers which must be discarded when it is old
and worn out. Leadership has a life span and when you overstay you lose touch with the
people and blame any problems on perceived enemies. Mugabe’s role was to lead the nation
out of the shackles of colonial rule. He was relevant during the struggle. Mugabe still
thinks he is fighting colonialists because that is what his calling was all about. He has
overstayed like an old pair of slippers that has lost touch with the

what shocks me with you Zim’s is its always the same with you guys. You come condemning us in one hand and asking for help in the other hand. You guys had the so called western imperialists for about 20 years. 20 years and yet you didn’t learn anything from them. China has been reverse engineering western products for years that now they have mastered the stuff and are practically selling to the west there own stuff. You guys have had so called western imperialists for 20 years and yet nothing. You didn’t even learn how to grow maize from them. Other thing is what where you thinking chasing the people that had a huge influence in your economy

the town that chases the baker without learning how to bake starves.

Also the west is not mandated to trade with you. The west can trade with whoever they want to trade with. If you want to trade with the west, you do this through good political relations. It’s not like Zimbabwe has got oil which can have a huge influence on the west.

Here is a fact. Mugabe has destroyed. The west had nothing to do with it but trying to help. Mugabe has been in power since Zim’s independence. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

  65. #56 Zim Boy,forget the one track mindedness you have observed here, i would like to take you on your assertions. Please tell us ONE ILLEGAL sanction that has been imposed on Zimbabwe.Targeted travel sanctions that have been slapped on your leaders and their agents ARE NOT economic sanctions on Zim. ZIm is still free to do business with anyone in the world. The UK which you single out as trying to strangle Zim is currently the single largest bilateral donor of foregin aid to Zim. The Gideon Gonomics that you have unleashed in Zim coupled with the complete annhilation of your agro sector…

  66. well lookin at the issues on the ground, president mwanawasa is doing a good job at keepin them sunction issue not attended to. personally i think that anonymous#2 needs an upgrade on his damaged memory chip in his head, the president is not being used by any western, but instead he is just trying to save some of you people in zimbabwe. the more everyone keeps supporting the current situation the more mr mugabe thinks he is on the right track so wake up people

  67. …are what have caused the mess in Zim. No sane investor today will set up shop in Zim not because their home govt forbids them to but because there are no conditions for anyone to do business in such a commandist and controlled economy. Dont believe the govt bigwigs when they tell you that you are suffering under sanctions while they fly off to joberg to wine and dine and shop while you scrape for a loaf of bread in Harare. Most African people are with the commoners of zim in this struggle but the big beneficiaries of this chaos will lull you into a slumber with fables about why you cant eat while they enjoy

  68. MWANDI all i can say is ni-zee when it comes to zambia. lets all have a moment of silence for the chairperson of SADC, and can we pliz have a moment to mourn, for our zim people that keep on loozin their way and neglecting help when it comes theis way

  69. Let Mugabe do what is best for the vast majority of Black Zimbabweans. The Whites had taken the land without anyone being compensated. So why should Mugs not play their tune? Mugs main mistake is staying on for too long. Okay, this is now too late to speak about. We are now talking about handing over the country to enslaved minds of the MDS who are worshippers of imperialism like LPM and his MMD. This is why there is this widespread poverty in Zed. We have a leader whose God is imperialism. Zambians are currently being taken into serious enslaved lives via deliberate policies that worship foreigners.

Long Live Mugabe. Should Mugabe fall, the ANC will be next!!! The whole of SADC targetted

  70. is it true that Bob Was trained at chalimbana? so we trained this dictator? # 55 if your calculations are right then we have a problem in Zim

  71. By the resources starved West. LPM is their main hoodlum as chairman of the SADC group.

Zambians must read history. The saddest part of LPM led Zambian life is that the culture of ignorance is worshipped. No one reads anymore. And if they read, they read only rubbish papers – TOZ, Daily MAil and The Post. The Post was compromised ages ago, and it has joined the suppressing class with the MMD. The evidence of LPM’s lack of commitment to growing an informed nation can be seen from the poor spending on public education and institutions. LPM has ensured that the only things that work are those that are out to look after himself..helicopter, Challenger Jet, motor cars for himself and his wife.

  72. LPM has also ensured that he has a personal budgetary vote for his medical care in UK while all other citizens unless they are Sata, are condemned to the UTH butchery.

Most Bloggers here are so ignorant about what makes nations great that the nation became a failed nation after KK lost elections in 1991.

Mugabe must be supported whatever it takes. The MDC and its supporters are out to ensure that Africa is recolonized again. Only brainwashed Zambians can support enslavement of their brothers in ZIm.

  73. # 80 you are so naive it is not funny.dont you know 2 wrongs dont make a right? just because the whites took land does not mean you have to take it back at all costs? look at what has happened now.MDC might be perceived as pro west but that is the only alternative the Zim have.ANC is not immortal the time will come for it to go just as it has come for mugabe to go.MDC deserves to rule sa well. politics are not for particular individuals but for evryone. change is hard but inevitable

  74. Zambia has become so corrupted by the poor management of the nation by LPM and his MMD that citizens are as blind as a door handle. LPM ensured that our educational institutions were not funded while he gave away our resources so that he can claim that he has no money! At the same time, he has ensured that all foreigners can hire his subjects and compensate them with peanuts like monkeys. It is therefore not shocking for LPM to be supporting imperialism and MDC. He knows that history will judge him as one heck of a rotten leader who sold away his people and their resources for personal gain and glory. African leaders like LPM thrive on being praised by white people. This is why Zambia’s

  75. Strange But true, your marxists rhetoric about imperialism and western predetors has been abondoned even by the hardened Cubans who until recently forbade their citizens to stay in hotels, buy cell phones or own DVD players. Wake up man,let us not subject people to high dogmatic ‘isms’ anymore. The train left that station ages ago. Your friend Mugs never gave land to the proletariat class of Zim. It was shared by the army generals, police big wigs, powerful cronies in Zanu PF and a number of machete wielding war veterans. What has he done for the masses? the western blame game here just wont cut it

  76. strange but true you are so strange .what is there to support mugabe for? there is absolutely nothing goin on in Zim.Mugabe lost the elections yet he clings to power.is that what you call support. you are so old fashioned you still believe in throwing stones. Get a life chana Bob is going and yet you are still barking an old tree.in 1991 a great nation was created with one of the best transitions in africa.Mugabe has denied that for his fellow zimbos. Who said only Mugabe can liberate Zim or Africa?

  77. #80 Bob was trained at Chalimbana and in Ghana. He also studied a lot while in prison and taught many fellow inmates. He is actually a very serious intellectual by many accounts. And this is the tragedy, that a man with such attributes would turn into a tin pot despot with no regard for struggling masses and blame all the mess he has caused on the EU, UK, US,the opposition, drought, and now SADC – on anything and everybody but himself!

  78. #2 and all those who think like you are all fools to say the least. The problems of Zimbabwe have nothing to do with neither zambia nor any other neighbouring country. I lived in Bulawayo in 1996 and zimbabwe was all glory until this man, Mugabe, decided to plunge the country into this unending hole. The blame on westerners and people like Mwanawasa (I I really do not like) is cheap and cannot be bought. Mwanawasa has been the only African leader who has actually insinuated abouted the caos and poverty that all Zimbabweans are facing today.

  79. foreign policy is so rotten that it smells of rotten fish. LPM’s investment policies are so much loaded against his own people that I wont be surprised to see LPM in chains after he leaves office unles the OP rigs elections again. I doubt if Zambians will accept their rigging of elections. But then when the majority of our citizens have no analytical skills and education to understand issues and facts, one cannot rule the OP winning the rigging game.

Mugabe must be supported by all that love a truly free Africa.

  80. #85 – Strange.. you’re so strange to compare the situation in Zim and Zambia. Where have you seen our zambian mothers crawling under the fences with children on their backs to escape the mother-land. Only Zim mothers day-in day-out crawl under fences and swim in crocodile infesteted limpopo river to get a life in RSA. How desparete can a situation be before you start doing something? Let’s be rationale in the way we anaalyse issues. we zambians have issues as any other third world but Zim is in acute state.

  81. #92 Strange but true
You are an embarrassment to Zambians (if you are Zambian) and Africans as a whole.

The question is still on the table, WHY DIDN’T MUBAGE GIVE THE LAND TO PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY FARM????

LPM’s investment policies are okay given the image Africa gets on the international scale that has halted investment. Zambians where not investing in there own country so what is one to do, mind you we are now in a FREE MARKET ECONOMY. If Zambians cannot invest in there own economy, better bring in people who can whether they are Chinese or White.

By supporting Mugabe you are supporting Violations of Human rights. Tell me, if Mugabe is so right, why does he have to beat his people

  82. cont..
even after the elections. Why did it take him so long to release the results.

Mugabe just screwed up the economy by funding a pointless war and raising taxes.

He single handedly destroyed a country that was second to South Africa. Democracy calls for change.

You also know that Mugabe is wrong and must leave office.

  83. (UNIP) KK left office

Now is (ZANU-PF) Mugabe’s time to leave office

    Next will be the ANC.

We do not need leaders who choose to cling to power. Africa has had so many of those lately.

  84. Don’t you just love to be African!African leaders can be compared to monkeys in a zoo. There always has to be a fall guy. they can never accept that they have just messed up. wrong is wrong and if mugabe is pissed coz he is beint told that, let him do the only sensible thing he will have done in a very long time, shoot himself in the head.why should his comfort supercede the comfort of 15 million zimbabweans.
the paradox is african leaders can cot condemn their contemporaries because they are doing the same crap in their countries
    God help our dark continent

  85. Some Zambians just amaze me with their thinking, this Zim issue has everything to do with a black run gov’t stepping up to a white run gov’t seeking to continue colonising people and country like Zim. I think that if KK was our leader or we had a leader like KK in state house right now, he would bring mugabe and opposition together and help to form one front to fight re-colonisation. This is what Dr. LPM is NOT doing. He has sided with the west against his own neighbour in the name of democracy when his own elections have been very questionable. Dr. LPM is been used by the west to get back at Mugabe but most of you don’t see that.

  86. The only issue I have with mugabe is that he used gov’t to push the tribal agenda with the Shona – Ndelebe tribalism. That is BS but on the land issue, he was spot on, even the people he gave the land too were zimbos but sanctions have meant that the land can not be used because of the dependency sydrome that most african countries fall into. Even in Zambia, if Dr. LPM turned around today and started getting farms in Mkushi, Chisamba and other areas, you would be suprised on how our “booming” economy would go down overnight. Its because the west have got us were they want us to be, under their control. Zim stepped out of the line and the west have burned down Zim blamed Bob and Co.

  87. Most people supporting Dr. LPM are MMD cadres supporting their “God” otherwise ba levy is just a puppet like Morgan T of MDC. The rest I suspect are former Zimbos(white farmers). Let us be objective and stop been used to rubber stamp re-colonisation. If the Zim issue was started by Mugabe with out the involvement of the west the most anti mugabe posts here would make sense but with the west involved, they are behind everything. Just look at Iraq, they are killing right now as we blog yet things have gone on as if nothing is going on because they are in control and the want the entire africa just like before. Mugabe is not perfect but at least he gave the zimbos some honor using land.

  88. Zambia today is under firm control of the west together with other foreigners. Our mines are gone, tourism gone, best farm land gone, soon it will be Zesco, Zamtel. Today as we blog almost half of the zimbos are land owners something that peaceful Zambia has not achieved. When mugabe will be no more and the country has gone back to normal i.e. good enonomy run by zimbos, zimbos will be better off than most Zambians. Mugabe is wise because he has foresight, he knows he won’t live forerver so he has asked zimbos to suffer now and gain later. When mugabe is no more the best land in zim will be with black zimbos, the best companies with black zimbos, they power will be with zimbos forever!!

  89. Strange but True at # 80 with all due respect, you insult Pan-Africanism and my sense of Patriotism when you equate greedy policies aimed solely at gaining political capital with “doing what’s best for Black Zimbabweans”. I take offence because Mugabe’s land distribution program was not only ill-planned it was also politically convinient- if his intention was the development of the people it would have been implemented strategically to ensure that SKILLED labourers obtained land. # 98-99 the same applies to you- Mugabe is the enemy of his own people, he has had since 1980 to deal with the land issue and conveniently he left it till pressure was mounting for him to step down. cont

  90. The West like any other power bloc is looking after its interests and we Africans should look after our own but with strategic diplomacy from which we will benefit. Land distribution was a good idea- a necessity even- but good ideas are executed poorly in the hands of unpatriotic individuals. The issue here is Zanu-Pf blaming Mwanawasa for their woes- call him traitor if it pleases you he’s my president and we maintain healthy diplomatic relations with the world and stable political climate- both of which will do our economy heaps of good if we deal with corruption.

  91. Zimbabwe’s agriculture sector, accounting for one-fifth of total GDP and feeding into industry and services, was one of the most vibrant on the continent. In order to win an election and appease war veterans, without taking into consideration what impact such actions would have on the economy, Uncle Bob instituted haphazard land reforms. The result? The economy has been in recession for 8 years and counting. And people like Zim Boy gave him 43% of the vote[yes! I am the one who used the word you dont want to hear, Shamwari], because they only chose to hear his side of the story: imperialists, Tony Blair, blah, blah, blah. Zim Boy, just be rational for one moment.

  92. We have to understand Dr. LPM’s situation though because he is a patient of National Health Service (NHS) in the UK therefore he can not afford to be anti western then at the same time go to the UK for treatment so he has decided to make life easy for himself by siding with the west and they in exachange help tp keep him in power and of course provide medical help for him. KK could afford to be anti western because he wasn’t personally dependant on them for health because he created capacity within Zambia. I believe that the people of Zambia did not get rid of KK. The people who engineered to have KK removed from power were the west using a group we would come to know as MMD.

  93. Mugabe has a short memory.at one we deported Morgan T and his team from Livingstone because Mugabe instructed mwanawansa to do so.Mugabe you are not President of Zambia.Mwanawansa carried out your directive thinking your were a genuine man and not that you are superior or veteran or whoever you cal yourself, even your fellow Zimbabeans showed you are of the past by not voting for you.I dont know what his friends tell him,he likes force this why the Zimbabwean army was in Congo fighting

  94. Go to the Zim’s reserve bank website and check Gono’s monetary policy statement for the first quarter of 2008 where he outlines the challenges facing Zimbabwe and how to address them. Giddy has a brilliant team at the reserve bank, but unfortunately, they have to toll the politicians’ line and have thrown away their economics textbooks. He needs to get on the phone with Fundanga who will tell him to abolish the exchange controls department, have a floating currency, abolish the prices & incomes commission, among other things. Zimbabwe is not short of technocrats, but please give land to people who actually understand farming!

  95. #104, who was running this vibrant agri sector in Zim, was it not the white farmers? This issue is about the west suppressing a rebelious country because they didn’t want the rebellion to spread across africa because had zim got away with the land re-distribution, the entire Southern African would have followed then the rest of Africa would have done the same. So to stop that they decided to burn zim down.

  96. #108, how do you let war veterans to do the redistribution for the Government, by torching farms and vandalising equipment and forget that you need to eat tomorrow? Did the West do that? C’mon dude, get real.

  97. #109 I think you are the one that needs to get real. Do you honestly think the white farmers and the west were just going to sit back and watch mugabe come up with a perfect land redistribution programme? Of course not. The decision for mugabe was either to get rid of the white farmers or let the white farmers get rid of him. Of course we all know what happened. Zambia should just be a good neighbour because one day it could be us in a situation like zim. It is always good to be in good terms with your neighbours regardless of the situation.

  98. Please Zambians we know that you are the only brothers we can heap the blame on. Others can crush us in a second!

  99. After reading 1-12 my conclusion is that Mugabe is to blame. He has no morals!!! His long cling to plower has made him so stupid that he thinks he owns Zimbabwe!! And Zimbabweans are scared of Mugabe and his cronies. The opposition are also uncertain and seem to be careful when issueing statemnets. There is something Fish!! Talk of sanctions without specifics is like an empty promise. Zimbabweans need to work up!Sanctions, which they dont seem to understand, is request/demand by the international community for regime change!

In a nutshell, the problems of Zimbabwe are for Zimbabweans and can only be solved by Zimbabweans themselves by a Zimbabwean solutions. Leave Levy Mwanawasa alone!!

  100. just to add to what Analyst said at # 109- most of these “war veterans” who carried out the so-called “land distribution” program were too young to even have fought in the 70s! To # 110 Land distribution failed because Mugabe’s primary concern was remaining in power, a very short-term goal, whereas land distribution is about redressing the inequality of land possession over time- its transitional, its inevitable(because the majority must have a proportional share in the economy) but skilled labour should be available to replace the white farmers. It shouldn’t be smash and grab like Mugabe implemented it.

  101. It is very surprising to note that any Africans (MDC or Dr LPM) advocating for democracy, adhrerence to rule of law and respect for Human rights are labelled ‘pro-western’. Colleagues democracy must not only be associated with Americans, European etc. Democracy must also be African stable food. We want democracy not only in Zim but also Cameruon..Sudan. Ethiopia..etc. Those condeming Levy or Morgan please think thru issues before enganging in this debate. Don’t get me wrong.. Zambia just like any ‘young’ democracies must continue to mature and develop democratic institutions -Executive, Justice system & law making.

  102. Its interesting to see these “young” WAR VETERANS wielding machetes and taking over farms by force in this era of civilisation. Yet it is sad to note that Zimbabwe is now importing food such as maize from countries like Zambia while the repossesed land lies idle. Just take a DRIVE THROUGH THESE FARM AREAS and see for yourselves the results of the so-called LAND REDISTRIBUTION programme. Green houses lie in ruins, tractors without tyres e.t.c. The farm owners happen to be in Harare, the army generals, police chiefs, ZANU-PF officials with no interest or background knowledge of farming.

  103. ZANU-PF War kids “not veterans” burnt down farm houses, only start sleeping outside.Where there was a wheat farm, grass is being grown now, its sad.If we africans are goin to listen to leader like uncle bob who push personal verdenttas thro state propaganda. When are we oin to wake up? Liberation, my foot, do we de-colonise just to be hungary beggers … Lets kick all the liberation heroes out of power, they should all be resting after a job welldone e.g. Mandela, KK, etc.And all zimbos on this blog, Leave our pres. out of your mess, FIX IT YOURSELF.

  104. “it’s an emergency summit that requires an urgent response”, thus Levy set the tone. He refused to accept Mugabe’s input to the meeting, which came by way of Mbeki. “If Mugabe has anything to say to me as chairperson, then he can talk to me himself,” Levy retorted, reminding Mbeki that he was creating the impression that he was becoming “Mugabe’s messenger”. The two men all but came to blows later when Mbeki objected to Tsvangirai addressing the meeting, although it had apparently been talked of in advance. Levy told him as much, reminding Mbeki that they had discussed it by phone earlier.

  105. I have never ever seen thankless creatures of the Bush like these stinking ZANU-PF fools. Zambians died in large numbers to liberate them and today they have the bollocks of ganging up with Mozambique, South Africa and of all people that Kasai called Kabila to say Zambia has been brought by Brown of Scotland! What manner of Masalamusi is this? Sooner than, Thabo is out of people and Zuma whose Ndebele distant cousins Mugabe killed will scale the icons of power in South Africa. The same Zambia and Botswana they are insulting will be the sanctuary they will be running to, we’ll see when the time comes.

  106. #18 should just have kept queit, your own President is being attacked by a group of unappreciative MFs, and all you want to say is HIV/AIDS. My own thinking is that these guys have failed to run the country and they trying by all means possible to runa fradulent election. I mean as #13 put it should we blame all this on Mwanawasa, I think much as HE has short comings but these zimbos have gone too far and all they want it to divert HEs attention from the economic gains he has made, Zimbabwe is finished and firtunately for us we only had 5 years of vultures eating at us for Zimbabwe 10 or more years will make it impossible for the country to recover!! They are fools!

  107. #199 U r rite on the button. Why blame LPM on something he wants to help them settle. This is like blaming your neighbour for a divorce which he has nothing to do with. If your wife (Zimbabwean people) wants to divorce you (ZANU-PF) and Marry MDC why should the Neigbour (Zambia) be blamed and how? Please leave our peaciful Zambia and our President ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! A problem shared is a Problem solved- # 32, 37 and 48 you ought to be ashamed of yourselves instead of focusing your time on trying to solve your problems in Zim you waste it on the internet, I bet you are not only on LT but other site (Porn)…Grow up!!!!!!!!…….chimbwe!!!!!!!1

  108. You can tell when its about to rain but you fail to perceive why you have all these things happen. Open your eyes and your heartaches will chill off.

  109. Be fair 121 and analyse issues as true as possible. You have forced me into this. Now listen and listen gud. If #32, 37 and 48 are wasting time waht are you doing yourself? You also are wasting time on the internet instead of developing Zambia. If u are not wasting time, they too are not wasting time. This is a forum where ideas are shared and we can give confort to one another. I do not like the blame heaped on LPM but mugabe and his policies are right. why is it the west are so much into zim?? think and think good!!!!!! Lets help Zim…..

  110. Dear fellow Zambians I think it’s time to wash your hands off these Zim Characters. They will simple never appreciate any positives from us. History will tell you all;lets begin with the federation of Nyasaland[Malawi],Northern Rhodesia[Zambia]and Southern Rhodesia[Zimbabwe]Where did most of the economic power of the Federation come from? Off course Northern Rhodesia[Zambia] Where was the HQ of the Federation Salisbury[Harare],and that where most of the developing occured They built the Kariba Dam at the time the largest on earth with funding from our Copper mines and because of our finances they could affort to have all the infrastructures put in place

  111. We lost a lot of lives in their struggles but we only got called names and the lot They are not worth defending let them destroy themselves. They are very naive they think they are better than Zambians We managed to get ourselves out of mess let’s see them do it When we were trying to get rid of our Big Man KK their leadership supported KK we still got him out without their help thank God for that cause we wouldn’t have heard the last of it.I have no sympathies for them. Zambian are humble and strong will people God bless our country and the leadership whether in power or in the opposition.

  112. Pamberi! As far as I am concerned, we will also have to liberate Zambia. Mugs must be supported, no matter what happened. LPM has an interest in acting against Mugs because he is a puppet of the West. The West does NOT praise African Leaders unless they are puppets! LPM is history. He will belong to a list of those leaders who fleeced their own citizens to get a place at the high table of enslaving their citizens for foreigners.

Mugabe is okay. He has NOT given away land to foreigners, it is in the hands of the vast majority of his people. All he must do now is to train them on how to use it productively.

  113. The Zimbabwe CENTRAL BANK HAS JUST RELEASED A $Z 500 million note. Prices are doubling every week. Well what will GENIUS Mugabe do about that? Grab more farms? ZANU-PF must hand over power peacefully now while they still have some credibility left.

  114. Mr Chinamasa, TAUTASHA NGE MBWA!!!! I warn you, Much as I criticizes my own president, but I wont take it when the zezulus starts criticizing him. You good for nothing zezulus leave our president alone, you never appreciate what zedians has done for u to the extend of dying of your behalf. This time around I dont want to hear any zedian dying on your expenses.

  115. Bafungenefye balekeni.. Latest: They have just introduced a Z$500m note worth only US$2 and can buy only two loaves of bread. Nangu Chinamasa achite shani, baleya. KICKS OF A DYING HORSE!!!!

  116. Gideon #124 and #125 you have said it all and you are dead right. People who support Mugabe and his ZANU-PF will never appreciate any good that Zambia has done for Zimbabwe. Some Zambians died during the Zimbabwe liberation war, many Zimbabweans received free education Zambia, many Zimbabweans pretented to be Zambians and they got scholarships meant for Zambians to pursue postgraduate studies, etc. I would not be surprised if some Zimbabweans were not ministers in KK’s cabinet. And what has Zambia received in return? INSULTS!! What a thankless people these ZANU-PF scoundrels are. What goes round comes around and the wheel has turned a full circle for them. I pity the innocent Zimbabweans.

  117. no.85 strange but true: i very much believe that this wanker is really zimbabwean, his political rhetoric encompasses tenets and principles which would make lenin proud and rejuvenate fidel castro, because only zimbabweans are politically backward, such political thinking, while educative, cannot solve any of the problems africa is going thru. I find it hard to believe that mugabe is doing something right…..lol…… u call a shipment of arms worth millions of dollars right and at the same time u fail to pay border fees to export food for ur citizens doing something right? Ur wives are running from u and ur children to come sell sex not in hotels but the dirtiest streets

  118. /cont….. of lusaka and u say H.E. LPM is to blame? chinamasa also him he lost his elections and yet he is still speaking on behalf of ur nation….. WTF……. everything is wrong in zimbabwe no governmental structure whatsoever even Tsvangirai himself does not look like presidential material…… guys are u serious…..?

  119. Even when the boat has sunk try by all means to survive by swimming to the nearest shallow waters — to zambia and south africa but don’t insult the crocodile while doing the same.wake up zimbabwe

  120. Another Arican dictator waiting to be shot out of power or taken to the Hague. They never learn.

  121. Another African dictator waiting to be shot out of power or taken to the Hague. They never learn.

  122. Mugabe and his ZANU-PF should learn to take responsibility for their own failures and for plunging the nation into starvation other than accusing people who are outside. It’s very unfair to blame for the loss on an innocent statesman.

  123. You people don’t be so hash to Zimbabweans. These people are suffering and going through a tough time at the mercy of Mugabe’s greediness. We went through such economic chaos we must no better. Its BOB we should be agree at…that fool will use any excuse to defend his destructive actions. His idea was good though, but went about it totally wrong

  124. #138 They are so vain, naive and arrogant that you can’t but be hash to them,I think #136 has a very dangerous prepostion though I couldn’t help but laugh out aloud, Watch out #136 most of them are [“serial killers”] HIV CARRIERS help them if you and that should be all.

  125. Zimbabweans you had two opportunitities to kick mugabe s butt, but you still kept him.us zambians the first chance we got we got super Ken out.please stop blaming Mwanawasa or the west.

  126. My brother suggested I may like this blog. He was once totally right. This submit truly made my day. You can not imagine simply how a lot time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
