Task Force Mandate Extended Indefinitely

Share

The mandate of the Task force on Corruption has been extended indefinitely.

This now means that the Task force will continue pursuing, and executing its duties by investigating cases involving plunder of the Country’s resources.

The latest pronouncements also mean that the Task Force which was instituted six years ago will continue operating in its current form.

The anti graft wing will also source its funding from Central Government.

This is contained in a statement released to ZNBC news in Lusaka by Task force Public Relations Officer, Victor Makai.

Task Force Executive Chairman, Max Nkole thanked government for the decision to extend the mandate of the institution.

  1. How true is it that the lusaka times server is stationed at task force, with a purpose to eavesdrop on lusakan gossip? Then catch erring bloggers.

  2. That kind of intelligence is long gone. People now talk freely and openly anywhere. People are allowed to express their views and we will continue to do so. Plus the task force is only investigating the plunder of resources during chiluba’s tenure and they have no business in other affairs.

  3. who gives damn if the server is at the toothless task force? freedom of speech prevails. it is the same task force that assisted fugitive Attan Shasonga to skip bail, aided chungu to escape? the task force is more of a political tool, it more functioning in line with KK’s special branch.

  4. Ba Mwana wapa zed (2),
The New Deal Administration is entrenched in fundamentals of Democracy and human rights. Free speech is one asset of the MMD politics under the serving administration. Such malicious views are below dignity to say the least. Please show your caliber freely than post nonsense.

  5. Yes number 4,you are very right. Its funny how this government thinks can take people for fools.Well l got a message for you,you can fool some people but you can’t fool all the people the time. This task force has been a disgrace, you the government know it,l know it and every Zambian how is serious about issues knows it. I don’t making task force operation indefinitely is going to make anymore functional. You let two people run under your noses,Chungu and Shansongo are criminals together with their Kafupi and shouldn’t have been let off the hook.Remember, your time is also coming. We want leaders who are going to work for the people, not where mere statements are been made just to air a point.

  6. MMD cadre and chief bootlicker PRAGMATIST
What fundamentals of democracy does the MMD practice?Have you finally allowed Prof Chirwa to contest the presidency? Why was Nevers Mumba expelled from your party? You seemed to been comfortable with Nevers up until he challenged your demi-god LPM for the presidency. Why don`t you have a VP?Why is MABENGE the conman your national chairman?

  7. Disillusioned with a disqualified minded Chapi the PF surrogate,

I’m glad you have acknowledged that the Administration has created enumerable opportunities for the ingenuous Zambians in the homeland. This is what we have been explicating here that hope for Zambia is on a progressive political culture only prevalent & enhanceable under the ruling MMD.Anything else will be built on more when my generation team in the assembly will finally step in and shoulder the mantle of power and reforms. With a spirit of gratefulness to the pioneers serving diligently the country today, the future will be synchronized for continous improvement.

  8. Disillusioned with a disqualified minded CHAPI the PF surrogate,

Democracy does not mean institutional subservience to mechanics of subverting functions and structures by every junk in the market place thinking he can outplay his way in.This is why even you despite having picked up your late evening aged American woman as wife (immorally) for status purposes would never let you vie for the US Presidency. MMD can accommodate people but very mindful of infiltrations. And when are you holding internal elections in PF? Its now over 8 years since you got a seal of approve from Mugabe’s Zanu-PF to serve as PF yet no internal democratic elections. Where do you derive your mandate?

  9. Nevers Mumba has been gauging his popularity since God spoke to him to replace MMD in 1996 under the NCC, Christian Revolutionary Party, PF, MMD, RP and now hoping he could inherit Sata. The MMD tradition is that its Presidency is held by a very stable and tireless person with undivided loyalty to the party and the country not flip floppers changing parties with prevailing circumstances. On Chirwa, if he is popular let him form his own party to challenge the MMD like Nevers has done to understand his reach. In Zambia, we have liberalized the political terrain and every junk can test his waters.

  10. Demagogue and SHUSHUSHU PRAGMATIST
Do not ever halucinate about democracy in the MMD when you can`t even answer simple challenges.
Anyway,I`ll spare you because you`ve got a family to feed from your bootlicking.

  11. Have you heard about a Zambian in the USA who was sent to jail for deliberately spreading the HIV virus? She lives in Cleveland, Ohio

  12. Why extend it indefinitely. No wonder they are taking their time to dispose off Chiluba’s case so that they can enrich their lawyers. This is day light plundering. And was this extension even put in parliament and debated? Would PF had supported this motion to just extend lawyers enrichments for ever. Something is wrong here. SET A GOAL WITHOUT A DEADLINE AND YOU WILL GO NOWHERE. This is what the Govt have done for the Task Force.

  13. The anti corruption crusade is for unlucky Zambians. Who can touch Katoto, Kalumba, Katumbi etc.

Sikatana told us that he knew where Chiluba banked the money. He promissed to handle it single handedly.

So if we continue thinking the Task Force will help, then its not this same group, may be the Act Force

  14. The Task Force is one huge criminal activity in progress. The GRZ’s extending its operations indefinately without Parliamentary approval shows how narrow minded and empty their work is. These guys are simply mastubating instead of really having sex to produce babies.

As usual, Levy will appear to be interested in curbing corruption and plunder of our resources, YET he has NOT put in place efficiency systems to ensure that the current bottlenecks which lead people to bribe their way to their objectives are removed. Levy himself has been awarding foreigners to take everything with nothing to benefit the vast majority. SO why waste money looking for plunderers when Levy is sitting pretty?

  15. I would love it if the Task Force were sniffing around for what we think on this site. I’ll will kill Levy at the slightest chance. Catch me if you can Nkole and crew! Kiss my @$$!

  16. #1 SITET, CID and ZSIS were killed the moment chiluba took over in 1991. I remember discussing this with a certain guy who was attached there who said at some point you guys had one of the best intelligence systems but now you have destroyed it and watch this country in the next 6 years, boy how I wish that guy was lying. Intelligence systems are difficult to built and once destroyed this is what you get, TASK FORCE which will do absolutely nothing.

  17. What is a ‘task’ fellow bloggers? these people are taking zed for a ride. According to my knowledge a task is supposed be accomplished in specified period of time. Let someone investigate the task force. GRZ should be objective in the manner they deal with issues not anyhow like task force, extending the task force indefinately for what.

  18. Dear Chapi ,
Please assist me with the following information regarding Mr SATA.

Which secondary school did SATA attend?
What professional or academic qualifications has SATA GOT
How many official wives has he got?
Before he got into politics or Goverment what job was he doing?

    Please assist

  19. # 22 what have all those questions have to do with you?
#2 LT server is in South Africa
#12 you are on a wrong forum, go to lifestyle

  20. Chapi and Pragmatist……i like it when you two gentlemen lock horns? you both articulate so well and do not let own feelings take control. you never resort to cheap insults (political gimick). Continue your lively debts…this is what separate the men from the boys? i salute you gentlemen. cheers

  21. #22 SHUSHUSHU/PRAGMATIST
I thought that it was part of your job description as a SHUSHUSHU to have such information on SATA by your finger tips.Kindly avail us such data and also about SATA`s age so that we finally turn this page.
How far has the task force gone in recovering funds that your partner CHITOBA syphoned?
We need fresh blood and vibrant leadership that can move our country to the next level.

  22. Chapi SHUSHUSHU,
You see the problem of signing up to serve as a SHUSHUSHU for a debunked politician with clogged lungs on his dreams highway instead of institutions. Now you are throwing it to Ba Pragmatist when you are suppose to furnish us data for the man keeping in the USA.You mean you just abandoned Evelyn Honne College laboratory classes to SHUSHUSHU for Satana without acquainting yourself his CV and character? You have been insulting every critical voice here directed against Sata. Typical of his bastards. Since MMD check mated him in their typical just like they got KK in an abrupt retirement decision.

  23. Chapi SHUSHUSHU,

I understand your confusion and shock but hey, its life and politics. You should have known these things before signing up to SHUSHUSHU for SATA.Who are you going to shushushu for now that MMD gat SATA by his B….s with a clogged heart and millions US dollars needed to liquidate his SA check ups.You know your hallucinations and junk yard wrecks so called business could not hedge against such eventualities. Lack of planning and vision.

  24. #26 SHUSHUSHU PRAGMATIST
They say that at times common sense is not all that common.
How can I be on SATA`s payroll when he can`t even afford his own medical care.
That`s the reason I always advise you to be economically empowered like us so that you can be at liberty to express yourself objectively.
I am therefore giving you the last chance to prove that you are not a SHUSHUSHU.
Simply state for the record just one position on any thread that you disagree with Levy?Do not change the topic.

  25. Mwaiche Pragmatist
It`s very difficult to bite the finger that feeds you.I am giving you a break so that you can do the needful to survive.Don`t ever mess with me because I won`t hesitate to expose your source of livelihood iwe ka SHUSHUSHU.

  26. extending the manadate of the toothless Task Force which in my view is conducting the tasks of the Anti Corruption Commission does not make sense.

  27. How come you guys you are on some payrolls and I am not? Mwaice wandi Chapi, you are stating facts. Sata has not employed anyone to spy or deliver wrong info to the masses. You see guys, Levy cannot be dubbed as democrat. The MMD constitution asks for a VP, he scrapped that position and instead created MMCI. The VP is the first advisor for the President and in some situations takes control when President is not ok, like Levy is. The guy asking for Sata’s credentials, what has that got to do with Chapi? Why not ask Sata? He is alive. About the Task Force, this is Job creation 101. What have they accomplished so far? How long should ppl wait to see results?

  28. commentators,

What is better, the taskforce to bring back whatever little they can or for the plunderers to keep it for their selfish selves?

Think of it,when you lose K100,is it better to just let it go because runninig after the thief is too hard,or you would rather get back atleast K50?

I hear K85 billion worth of assets was recovered?Thats not small money! Those in zed please shed more light.
