Hi Guys,
If interested you can watch the game on www(dot)iranfootballonline(dot)com.
I must say that we didn’t do badly at all. The first half was tough for the boys and we went into the halftime 0-2 down. Again some of the defending was schoolboy. J. Musonda needs to be shown the door. The chap was at fault for the second goal, he lost his attacker at the far post. The chap tries hard, but he just doesn’t have the ability to be an international footballer. I know that Clive Hachilensa was poor at AFCON and has rightly been shown the door, but if you analyse the games Joseph Musonda was equally bad.
The second half belonged to us and the only reason they won was a Diramba
penalty. Kennedy Mudenda was adjudged to have pulled back their player in the box. There was a little bit of contact, but the Iranian dived.
The first half was all about long balls from the back and the Iranians were able to contain us easily. In the second half we switched to a 4-3-3 with Kola leading the line upfront and Mayuka on the right and Clifford on the left. The change made all the difference and we played some good football. In the middle of the park we had Rainford, Felix and Isaac. I have to say that while it isn’t the biggest midfield they are all footballers and have good control. I must say that Isaac impressed me today. He was tigerish in the tackle and made good
use of the ball. Felix was his usual spritely self and caused them more and more problems as the game wore on. Rainford was nice and steady and I think the more these three play together the better Zambia will perform. They showed some good chemistry in the second half and their movement caused the Iranians a headache.
At the back, well it’s well documented that we need some help, but I think the Frenchman has recognised this and I only hope that we see this area develop.
this is our stating point, no turning back. eyes on the ball.
The teams in this year league look competitive according to the league standings , no run-away leaders yet every team has a chance of winning of being champions , just apply more effort, but the teams and FAZ must work on the pitches .
VIVA POWER 90, Thanks folks for the chipolopolo update.
