Govt has released K400m CDF for use in Kasama

Share

Government has released K400 million Constituency Development Fund for use in Kasama Central Constituency. And the MMD in the area has thanked government for the gesture.

Kasama Central Constituency chairperson Nathan Ilunga said the timely release of the funds would go a long way in accelerating development projects in the area, which had stalled due to lack of resources.

He said the MMD government has shown its commitment of facilitating development by funding various development projects in constituencies.

The MMD official urged fellow politicians to learn to make viable promises, which they could honour, instead of making empty ones. Efforts to get a comment from Dr. Xavier Chishimba failed.

  1. Ba MP please that money is for development programs not for leisure for you and your family.we all want to enjoy life.

  2. I thought CDF are supposed to be released to all constituencies. Why are they being released selectively? Are we planning for Chishimba to cross over and help him win back his constituency in a bid to bribe Kasama people. I hope not, we don’t need any of Sata’s MPs. They are not a threat please. Let them have their constituencies, if their tribal politics are what their people want. Just ask the courts to order PF to convene a convention as part of its democratic process or ban the party. Democratic ideals must be sustained that is why the tax payer is footing the bill just to elect one person instead of imposing him. We wasted a lot of money!!!

  3. What projects are they talking about? People need jobs and food on their table. give them proper health services and sound education.

We need proper accountability for that money in Kasama. We should be told how to was spend and the benefits it will directly bring to the residents of Kasama.

  4. The problem is, these projects are never itemized for people to follow and see what developements are taking place, we all need to know how money is being spent, these are public funds.

  5. agreeing with number 5 200%. i thought the monies would be distributed evenly. Why is it that the government is concentrating too much on Kasama. last time i checked, Zambia had 9 provinces all of which need help in so many ways.
If you ask me I am so tired of this Chishimba. Who is he even? Just Sata’s pet if you ask me. he goes and creates commotion and then zeeeeee. He was just trying to get recognised. And now its as if nothing happened.Awe mwandini we Zambians need to stand up to this nonsense really. Our country is in our hands, lets do something.
we can not have this anymore.

  6. This money landing in Bemba land? To them it’s manna I am telling you. It is now scrumble for that money from tax payers. Awe twa sula ifwe. I urge the controlling officers to be on the next flight to Kasama to intervern. I want to see real development and not fatened pockets. Ala.

  7. One lee ! thieves are every were, tha chap who was arrested for money laundering at zanaco last week was not bemba, the person who poketed money for election observers in Monze or is it Choma was not bemba, baba think before u bloc! we are no longer leaving in the dark ages.

  8. #I5, you are forgiven. I understand your concern. balitumpa ama tribilists. Umutuke nakabili whoever will post tribal comments.

  9. 400 meter! For the whole kasama central?.This is a joke. That’s probably equivalent to a monthly salary of 3 MPs.Our govt should be ashamed of itself instead of bragging about the 400m.It’s a drop in the bucket.

  10. #12, 13 can insult guyz. In my family there no one who insults. But if you do it again I will have no other option but to redirect those insults to your mother. Atase iwe. Ulefwaya ukumbelesha. If you are a Bemba i will forgive you but if not Then wait. Uli chipuba.

  11. #18

Do not fall into temptation. if you revenge I will conclude that you’re Kaponya/PF who find pleasure in insulting others with no regrets. The one insulting already fits both.

  12. #17 The Net Salary for an MP at the moment is about K5m. The fact that you have access to a computer means you have access to information. S don’t blog like an ignorant person. Exhibit caliber.

  13. #21,Oh! I get it.I’m so ignorant. But my point still remains crystal clear.400m is very little for the entire kasama central. You dig?
And hey thanks for the advice.Next time I’ill exhibit some caliber.

  14. #22, you have not done anything wrong. Dont even apologise. Being on computer does not mean knowing all. You are ok. The issue here is the amount of the CDF

  15. #21 Which moment are you talking about?.you mean a moment in the past like 15years ago.You are a damn blasted liar.An MP’s salary can’t be 5m.I think #17 is by far a little more accurate than you.I know of people who has left good paying jobs to become MP’s.It turns out that you are the one who is ignorant and not the other guy.Hehehehehe ignorant shushushu.

  16. I do not think the amount is an issue. The issue is whether that very little amount people can be able to account it to the last coin. Moreso the masses seeing what the money has achieved. I believe in little monie but results can be measured too.
