The Central Province Royal Foundation has disclosed that it will hold a celebration event in the province to celebrate the victory of Rupiah Banda in the October 30 presidential poll and the subsequent appointment of George Kunda as Republican Vice President.
Royal Foundation Chairperson Senior Chief Chibale of the Lala people said the people were happy with the appointment of George Kunda as Republican Vice President.
Chief Chibale said this when the Vice President paid a courtesy call on him in Serenje today.
Senior Chief Chibale has since assured President Banda and Vice President George Kunda of his subjects’ full support to all government development programmes.
Meanwhile traditional rulers in Serenje District have called on government to demarcate land with a view to addressing land wrangles among chiefs in their Chiefdoms.
Senior Chief Chitambo who spoke on behalf of others said land boundaries of 1958 were outdated.
He further called on government to development programmes and other strategies aimed at enhancing food security in the country.
Chief Chitambo said there was need for government to put in place measures aimed at addressing Global Economic Financial Crisis that major countries were experiencing.
The traditional ruler has since thanked the people of Zambia for the peace and unity they have exhibited before, during and after the death of President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa.

“Meanwhile traditional rulers in Serenje District have called on government to demarcate land with a view to addressing land wrangles among chiefs in their Chiefdoms” –
could this successfully happen?
George Kunda just went to show off ku mushi at the expense of taxpayers.
Well done Sweet thang!
you know G Kunda looks like one of RBs sons, maybe there is a relation that only they know about.. 😕
Thank you ba Chale – I’m learning from the pros like your good self and sony!

Dear Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
Where is HH?
Why is it that he only exist when its time for elections.
I cannot hide you I really wanted HH to bring change pa Zed,but its like he will never do that.
He is not perfoming the duties of the opposition party.Iam sure you have done civics before.
One duty of the opposition is to oppose the govt when they are not doing the right thing.
Now that HH is quiet, tells me alot about him.
its like all is well with him even when Zambians needs help from him.
I have never heard him say anything about the economic crisis zed is facing. Is it because he thinks its okay or what? to tell you the truth HH has really disapointed me.

#9 please go to the thread on fuel to find the response to your quest.
“The Central Province Royal Foundation has disclosed that it will hold a celebration event in the province to celebrate the victory of Rupiah Banda in the October 30 presidential poll and the subsequent appointment of George Kunda as Republican Vice President.”
Please use use that money for the planned pary to feed the hungry Zambian people arround the country. Let us channel all the little money we have to provide serious services to immediately affected people as we avoid jokes like what is in the news. Proper budgeting and keeping to doing the needful only is what will help Zambia.
# I think HH has talked about RB’s lies and how he is failing to run the government. Actually the Post newspaper has covered him well something that they did not do during campaigns. There is also one thing HH clearly does not want to do and that is to appear to support Sata for the demonstrations he has been planning. HH has even called for inter party dialogue to help solve the economic problems.
comment above is for #9 Matworld
170. Anonymous, noe need to be emotion or even insult my friend. The truth is the truth.
Look at China, and even India, they do not have noise useless noise makers like the Undereducate but they are doing very well in their economy. What we need are solutions to problems.
China and india have demonstrated that it is not the foreigners who will bring solutions to develop their countries but the indeginous people of those two respective countries. The FDI for China and India respectively are 10% and 15%. In Zambia, a foreign can own even upto 100% of the business without paying tax also – I stand to be corrected on this one though.
So, if HH is thinking about solutions this is best way.
#9 and 12 see #14 above aso posted on the other thread for fuel prices.
These chiefs are very corrupt and selfish. If I were actively in politics I would include them in my campaign material. Now I understand why Sata never used to visigt some of them during campaigns. They are just interested in material things at the expense of their subjects. Honestly why host a victory party at the time when the majority are starving. Zambia will remain a very poor country because all systems are corrupt.
16. Kashimani, corrupt in the mind possibly and selfish. How do you start partying when your friends accross the streets are starving to death.
Where are our priorities as a community and nation?
I am very disappointed with ourselves as Zambians. I am proposing that let all who are concerned about such an irresponsible way of doing things issue condemn it to its core.
Time wasting on proper developments must not be entertained or we will always be a laughing stock by the whole world.
Sorry Matworld – i disappeared for a while! Seeing as its Christmas… :*
Maestro H. Zambians are easily brain washed and they have a very bad culture of dependance on handouts. Very few are prepared to work for themselves, they would rather acquire something in a corrupt way. At the moment no one is prepared to report any corrupt activity but would rather join. An example is the the passport office in Lusaka. It is stinking with total corruption and I refused to give anyone some money when I went to renew my passport and it came out in time. However because I did not want to move an inch I observed how those officers are working corruptly with those chaps who hang around the passport office. It is shameful and everyone knows what is going on but no action is taken
doesnt make sense. why not feed the hunger stricken villagers instead?
:-w
ala these people are celebrating for a man who has alreadt failed us, only months after the elections
The behaviour of the chiefs is pathetic and stinking to the heavens to say the least. Look at the way they behaved during the last elections. Who on their right mind would honestly say that RB was the best candidate? The man has confessed that the job is difficulty for him. Jacob Mwanza governor of BOZ said that no one should be blamed for the problem Zed is facing. What a silly statement from a professional. This reminds me of what the late Mazoka used to say. “The problems Zed is facing were due to failure by those in leadership and if they have failed to generate money for the country let them resign”, those were his words. Zambia is poorly run
We have some people who are a very dull but want to appear to be intelligent. Tetamanshimba, Aka, Nevers Mumba, Sakwiba Sikota the list goes on. RB is naturally a dull person and he is not sensitive to people’s problems. Why did they not see this during campaigns? He is even needed image builders during campaigns, this was a reason enough to realise thst something was wrong with RB.It is unfortunate Sata and HH appear not to be interested in working with each other. They needed to put maximam pressure on the MMD and RB in particular this time around so that some people may start seeing sense and vote wisely next time.
excellent qoute from Mazoka! umushili ulwa bantu. Its a pitty such a brain went without ruling. KACHILUBA IS THE CAUSER OF ALL THIS. i TOTALLY SUPPORT THOSE WHO KADRAGGED IT AT CATHEDRAL. BANAKASIYAMO KAFUNIKA KUFWANTA CHE. TWAPENGA!
Wouldn’t attend this party. Probably will be funded by EM EM DEE to purport the funding’s from the ‘hosts’. Where would they get the money from – poor subjects. Why did it take long for them to celebrate. First the visit…oh oh oh!!!
its very disaponting to hear of a victory party when the economy is in the religation zone.what is there to celebrate,an individual getting rich at the expence of the poor majority.people are loosing jobs, people are sleeping hungry day in day out…can someone pliz tell what is there to celebrate.what a waste of resouces.lets all celebrate when the economy has stabilised…who do they want to impress, john cena…
#23 i like your comment…but where is HH? WE ONLY HEAR sata TALKING.truly sata speaks for the poor.where is the other opposition kanshi?where is general miyanda?WE only see these people when there is an election.even people who still belong or support these tuntemba parties,i question their inteligence and credebility.they are all dull chaps..very disappointing, dont waste votes on them.
Chibuku and prostitution pa las= Development
They should donate the money to needy cases in their society than celebrate the victory of RB & VP it is Xmas time they should learn to give to poor.
THESE CHIEFS ARE TRIBALISTS, WOULD THEY HAVE THROWN A CELEBRATORY PARTY HAD SAKWIBA SIKOTA BEEN APPOINTED VEEP? OR IS IT GEORGE KUNDA HIMSELF SPONSORING THEM?
The people who will attend the celebration are the hungry villagers. The Chiefs are clever and will kill two birds with one stone.
Hey Mr. Bigga Head, why are you so greedy? Yu nyam steak everyday while de people dem chewing herbs…gwaan, one day yu go rise up & find seh yu dead ahready!
19. your flag Kashimani and subsequent postings, great postings indeed.
I salute and saluted late Levy Patrick Mwanawasa with former President Kenneth David Kaunda as the only politicians Zambians have seen to give up power when things were not going right.
Mwanawasa resigned from Vice President position after he could not work in a corrupt Cabinet of the Chiluba Administration. Kaunda resigned for one day in the ’70 I think, but also gave up 3 more years of his rule when people demanded new system of GRZ and elections in 1990.
I only wish we will see President RB resigning when he shall realise that he cant offer more than what he will have tried by such a time in future.
#33 continued.
Then, and only then, shall we take note that the man President RB Banda is a man who has the interest of the Nation at heart. When, I cant do something by virtue of failure or not having background, I always inform the people concerned. They then choose to try and help me to it or we all agree to let someone more capable to take over.
I believe that this is the only rational way to proceed in politics if we ever hope to make progress like the developed world.
We need to take pride in setting priorities right and clearly this Central Province RB celebration victory party is ill-time and probably ill-conceived in considering the expense at the Nation’s interest. I rest here
Nowadays, even to be a house maid, you need minimum qualifications and so why must we overlook this important issue on the highest office of our territory and population, President of Zambia.
Also, the issue of age limit is very import for each profession. I propose that one must qualify to be a maid if and only s/he is between the age of 40 – 55 years.
Similarly, a Zambian Presidential candidate must be between 30 – 65 years of age so that anyone above 70 does not qualify on body physical fitness and health. Also, such must have a Masters Degree in any field and worked in GRZ civil service for atleast 2 years. NCC, please take note of this. **==
#35 You are crazy and out your mind, It is not about the age or education, Look at Zambia it has a lot of educated men and women yet they have failed flat face to develop, A high school drop out from Ohio has common sense to run a City the size of Kitwe successfully, Then people like Bill Gates do no qualify, Narrow mind wake up S**ker.
tax payers money victory party these pipo don’t learn there is no more money to waste.
Congratulations sweet thang so you have joined the club of nambala one.ha ha ha….

#9. I’ve been asking the same question. Where the hell is HH? This is the time to make an impact. #14 Silence is not a solution in politics. It doesnt work that way. Especially in Zambia
Thats the problems with HH. He’s too selfish to even share his ideas.
LT were z my comment?
meant problem and not problems
These villagers are very dull how many times are they going to be used by these selfish politicians kashi?Very narrow minded, not going to school is also a very big problem they cannot tell when the economy is good and not. Grow up
why waste money on RB?whats behind the same party?
Mwila bepesha Imfumu ba gov alaahhhh, Its good for the MMD to celebrate using gov funds while pipo r suffering, Namwishiba ba MMD stop playing do your best now athawise very soon you will come out of power!
