Zambia striker Jacob Mulenga of French Ligue 2 club Chateauroux is out of action due to injury.
Coach Herve Renard said today that it was still uncertain whether Mulenga would be fit for Zambia’s 2010 World/Africa Cup Group C qualifier away to Egypt on March 29.
Mulenga was not part of Chateauroux’s side that drew 1-1 away to Amiens on February 6.
“He (Mulenga) wasn’t in the team at the weekend so I called someone there to find out why had happened to him that was when I was told that he is injured,” Renard said today in Lusaka.
“It will depend on the time, he needs to take his time and start training slowly, because he is a player with a big muscle.”
Meanwhile, Renard is still expecting Power Dynamos defender Francis Kasonde and Lusaka Dynamos midfielder William Njobvu to report for CHAN camp ion Lusaka.
Kasonde and Njobvu returned home on Sunday night from unsuccessful trials with Armenian champions Pyunik Yerevan while Mining Rangers defender Emmanuel Mbola remained behind after securing a deal with the same club.
Mbola’s departure has seen Renard drafting Zanaco left-back Michael Bwalya into the team.

# 11. believe do what??? Lose? Unless you change the coach and the FAz admin, we will win Gas.
Maestro Heheheheheh opwaba.
Why our players fail trials is because of the basics. we seem not to have basic knowledge football. When playing you also need to use some degree of intelligence. Eg For strikers, good strikers dont just hammer the ball anyhow, if you cant score, its better you hold on to possetion and pass than ballooning all over.
All the best Zambia

Believe me.. They will be the underdogs at the CHAN
yes, coaches who don’t meet expectations get fired.
FAZ should do the same to that revolting, good-for-nothing P.E. trainer on training.
I don’t know why they are keeping him.[-(
If they are afraid to sack the muzungu, they should appoint me as acting FAZ presdo for two minutes and he will be gone.
:-h
ZAMBIA, AWE MWANDI!!:-w

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-h:-h:-h:-h:-h**==**==**==
:)>- Morning all!!
Scholari needs a job. Ndiye chance yamene iyi ba Zambia. Renard can resume his original duties……PE teacher!!:-?
Ba Moze
Are you sure ?
you can’t afford a PE teacher, and now you want a real coach….No friendlies for chipolopolo…I think tomorrow and wednesday..all national teams that are being managed properly are using the fifa designated day for friendlies…Zambia versus NOBODY(trained by P.E teacher from France nicknamed HR)..Morocco v. czech Re. Tunisia v.Holland, cameroun (who refused zambia v.guinea, Bafana V.chile, Egypt who we play V Ghana, even Angola(not in World v.Mali, Malawi v.Mozambique, I.Coast V. turkey, Libya(out of world cup) v. Uruguay and the list goes…catch the drift????
Zambia can not afford Scholari, US$6 million per year.
Never underestimate yourselves. This country has money. How is RB able to globe trot? Do you realise how much money these trips gobble up? Already kuli khani yama GMO maize.
If you can pay task force good for nothing lawyers, then you can afford scholari. Its called negotiating. Even when marrying,, you negotiate the bride price vikavuta!!
😕
I think the only reason why we support Zambia is because of our patrotism and love for Zambia. On many occassions, I have said, I will never support Zambia again. But I keep on changing my mind. In terms of preparations and organisations, Zambia is up to rubbish. Kalu is proving not to be as good as we thought, he was going to be.
Simata Simata chased the best coach we had ( poulsen) coz of :))
Zambian football will continue to rally behind due to inadequate investments in youth soccer programs and failure to recognise the later as underlying cause.
I think Mbesema is gaining back his form. If he continues with the same spirit, will have the same Mbesema we had.
#37 Boooo
Its Mbesuma!!!…unless we have a new kid on the block? 😕
BA MOZE
I think its not a matter of having a world class coach, if we don’t have proper structures at club level, let alone great players not even the best coach can turn around our misfortunes. Mind you, Pareira failed in Sa
MINISTER of Communications and Transport Dora Siliya has with immediate effect dissolved Zamtel, National Airports Corporation and Zambia Railways Limited boards.
The minister announced this in a press statement released in Lusaka yesterday.
“By the powers vested in my office through Zamtel, National Airports Limited and Zambia Railways Limited Acts, I wish to inform the nation that boards of the above mentioned companies have been dissolved with immediate effect,” she said.
Ms Siliya said this action had been taken in national interest and also to re-align and improve operations and performance of the companies
Awe Kwena ba DORA bazativuta, mulemonapo shani ba MOZE!!!
zambian football will never improve unless we have soccer academys..west africans for exapmple have soccer academys,a boy of 8 years starts trainning at such an academy, wen he is 18,he becomes a good player.manje ku zambia they just get prayers mu ma compounds.people dont we have money to open a soccer academy?

Morning everyone!:o):o):o):o)!
Lets show Renard an exit!! Phiri should come back, i think he proved to be a better corach than this P.E trainer.
does football exits pa zed?
o-+, I don’t think so
“Ba KALU uku ku LAGOS baposamo itaulo mu ma elections yabu CAF Committee member”. May he has heed some wise advice this time around. 😕
I can’t imagine our players failing the so called trialz. Wat do u xpect especially that they r just sneekt out? It was unheard of a Zed player fail trialz abroad; Gret Kalu, Msiska, Stone Nyirenda, Johnson Bwalya, Charles Musonda, Jeofrey Mulenga, Abaleya Peter Kaumba, that 1Alex Chola and even Efford Chabala not to mention the first contigent that went to SA and so on. But now….my foot!!!!!
B Kalusha out of CAF race
Posted: 2009-02-10 13:22
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Kalusha Bwalya has withdrawn his candidature from contesting the Confederation of African Football executive committee race.
Bwalya said he withdrew because he feels that he has enough roles to play in the development of football despite not being in Caf’s main executive committee.
The South Africa 2010 World Cup ambassador added that he also wanted to promote unity in the Council for Southern African Football Associations (Cosafa) region.
Kalusha was challenging Cosafa president Suketu Patel for the position reserved for the southern region.
Good move by Kalu otherwise we were going to be embarrased.
Wise move Kalusha, tho this shud hav come much earlier. All the same well done, it takes a man…
zedian soccer needs a miracle to recover from its current doldrums [-(
Floating on past glory tacigwasyi pe.. Lets look forward instead of backward. As long as the play grounds remains unattended to NO progress in soccer will come forth.
OUR PLAYERS FAILED TO BREAK INTO THE ARMENIA TEAM, ATASE NO WONDER THEY FAIL TO TICK & SENT BACK HOME AFETR TRIALS WITH SLIGHTLY TOUGHER TEAMS. LETS NOT BLAME THE AGENTS, IT’S THE PLAYERS TOO RAW. HOW CAN THEY CONTAIN ETOÓ, OBAFEMI MARTINS, ZAKI, MIDO etc. I HEAR EGYPT WANT TO CALLUP HOSSAN HASSAN THAT BOLD HEADED RETIRED STRIKER CAUSE HE SCORES AGAINST ZED ALWAYS. ATASE THESE CHAPS WILL DISAPPOINT US.No 55 BULK OF ZED NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS PLAY OUTSIDE WHAT IS YOUR COMPALINT???IT’S NO TALENT, THEY END UP IN KANGAROO LEAGUES.
Kalu’s thumping was writing on the wall.He should not even cheat that withdrew to bring UNITY in COSAFA or whatever, he had no support. What has he done in FAZ apart from Confusion, his opponent siezed that as a weapon.Kalu should not continue being self centred, but work to uplift Zed football standards which he has failed to do. Atase..
They were the first team to arrive in Ghana and get eliminated in the first stage of the tournament. #56 explain why early exit?? Preparation started months even christmass party, players didn’t celebrate it with their families resulting into Tana staying behind:d
Egypt is paying Ghana in a friendly match, Both have taken advantage of wednesday being a FIFA sanctioned day of international friendlies to prepare for the upcoming world cup qualifiers. Zambia is very peacefully sleeping, no serious preparatory games. shame.
I guess it comes to money…Libya can organize a game with Uruguay. And they are not even in the Africa Cup and World Cup qualifiers. They have foresight…What does, what will it take for Zambia to use some of its resources to actually develop infrastructure. A good stadium in Livingstone, or the CB…use its tourist attributes and market Zambia as a destination. Television rights to market such friendlies…getting companies involved to pay for these teams to Zambia. If the west Africans can do it, why not Zed? Even Burkina Faso hosted an African Cup in 1998. Rwanda coming from genocide just hosted a major tournament..U-20 AYC…Atase!!!
the latter is symptomatic of the team….lack confidence, no fighting spirit, when Burkina Faso won rights to host Africa Cup 1998, everyone was skeptical..a sahel country, not much water,..but they persisted and they are on record as having hosted an African event. Zimbabwe which was already endowed with good facilities hosted All africa games..I will not be surprised that they get their act together in one year and get more World cup visitors than zed not because they are closer, but because they will be driven..that hunger, that oomph…zambia has talent..yes..but Angola has made a world cup before us, South Africa has been there, senegal..all teams zambia has schooled before.
Atase..Hanish Adams it seems was better than Kalu…He presented a clearer vision on how FAZ could be self-sustaining. Kalusha won on the promise he would use his international contacts to bring zambia football up again. He sounds like the typical African politician looking for handouts. I know he is trying…but his focus must be to square on the task of improving zambian football, the league, youth football, coaching standards. but he is busy vying for more positions. Did we elect this man to run for a CAF position in his first year in charge of a national association? Atase.
#35. We are all Zambians and we will support our team when they prove us wrong. .Eg. start winning !! Get organised It is really sad on a Fifa day we have no one to play. Of course no one wants to play us we stink.
Ba Kalu should be teaching in some capacity in Zed football, and leave the administrating to pipo who Know. Where’s tom Mtine. David Phiri, Kazabu .
iliche guys gogogo zambia
we are going round in cirles ba zed,I have always said this, bad coach good coach we need a consistant team that doesnot change .we only change in the major areas were we need improvements like strikers and defenders.IF you notice all the successful teams in africa and around the world do not regulary change there team.I wil give examples these are Cameroon and tunisia.Lets try to do what our friends are doing then we will go somewhere. :d
